Systems and methods for cosmetics products retail displays

Technological advancements are disclosed that increase automation and efficiency in the operations of the computer networks, graphical user interfaces and databases for cosmetics retail displays to be responsive to retail store and customer requirements and increase performance of such systems. The system integrates information from various, often disparate and remotely located systems and databases, involved in the designing, manufacturing, producing, allocating and/or delivering components of cosmetics products retail displays to a diverse set of retail store locations. Customizations of cosmetics retail displays at various retail store locations are automated and facilitated based on cosmetics products retail sales performance at the various retail store locations. Users of such a system are provided information to more efficiently provide cosmetics retail displays and components, and supply updates to such displays according to current market data, sales, inventory and brand or manufacturer requirements.

MACHINING ESTIMATION APPARATUS, MACHINING ESTIMATION METHOD, AND MACHINING ESTIMATION PROGRAM
20220155762 · 2022-05-19 ·

A camera photographs a part to be estimated, which is produced by cutting a sheet metal in advance, and a dimension reference marker. An image processing unit generates edge data by extracting an edge of the part photographed by the camera, and enlarges or reduces the edge data based on a size of the dimension reference marker photographed by the camera such that a size of the edge corresponds to an actual size of the part. A machining time calculation unit calculates a length of a cutting line for cutting out the part from the sheet metal based on the edge of the edge data corresponding to the actual size of the part, and calculates a machining time for producing the part by cutting the cutting line in accordance with a material and a thickness of the sheet metal.

Location allocation planning

In an approach location allocation planning, one or more computing units determine at least one location matching model for a first current participating entity of a plurality of current participating entities of a current event, wherein an output of the location matching model indicates a matching degree between the first current participating entity and a current event location. The one or more computing units create at least one initial location allocation plan for the plurality of current participating entities of the event based, at least in part, on the at least one location matching model. The one or more computing units receive feedback from at least one of the plurality of current participating entities. Responsive to the feedback indicating acceptance of the initial location allocation plan, the one or more computing units determine a final location allocation plan based on the initial location allocation plan.

Safe vertical take-off and landing aircraft payload distribution and adjustment

Vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft can provide opportunities to incorporate aerial transportation into transportation networks for cities and metropolitan areas. However, VTOL aircraft can be sensitive to uneven weight distributions, e.g., the payload of an aircraft is primarily loaded in the front, back, left, or right. When the aircraft is loaded unevenly, the center of mass of the aircraft may shift substantially enough to negatively impact performance of the aircraft. Thus, in turn, there is an opportunity that the VTOL may be loaded unevenly if seating, luggage placement, and/or positions of internal components are not coordinated. Among other advantages, dynamically assigning the payloads and adjusting components of the VTOL aircraft can increase VTOL safety by ensuring the VTOL aircraft is loaded evenly and meets all weight requirements; can increase transportation efficiency by increasing rider throughput; and can increase the availability of the VTOL services to all potential riders.

SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING THE ORGANIZATION OF COMPONENTS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF WOOD PRODUCTS
20210365014 · 2021-11-25 ·

A system optimizes the organization of components for the manufacture of wood products. The system includes memory devices and processing devices operatively coupled to the memory device, wherein the one or more processing devices are configured to execute computer-readable computer program code to receive a plurality of job orders for distinct wood products having varying components; optimize cutting of all components for the plurality of job orders to minimize waste of source materials, thereby resulting in a plurality of components for the plurality of job orders; track each component electronically in order to identify each component at a final cutting machine location; and affix a unique indicator on each component indicating both a receptacle and a receptacle portion corresponding to each component, thereby optimizing organization of all the components by at least one of job, distance from machine to receptacle, and distance from receptacle to assembly location.

Presenting an image indicating a position for a person in a location the person is waiting to enter

Methods for presenting an image indicating a position for a person are disclosed. A method includes: determining, by a computing device, at least one free space in a location using at least one camera; determining, using the computing device, a new position for a first person in the location based upon the determined at least one free space in the location; and presenting an image to indicate the determined new position for the first person in the location.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DERIVING A DIGITAL REPRESENTATION OF AN UNFOLDED BLANK AND FOR COST ESTIMATION BASED UPON THE SAME

A computer-implemented method for creating a computer-aided design (CAD) corresponding to a 2-dimensional rendering of an unfolded blank configured for manipulation into a 3-dimensional shape. The method includes obtaining a first digital, non-CAD design file containing information relating to the unfolded blank geometry but lacking metadata that defines cut or crease lines separately from surrounding content, and deriving, with a computer processor, a digital representation of the unfolded blank geometry based upon the first digital non-CAD design file. The digital representation includes defined data corresponding to a shape having one or more defined cut and/or crease lines. A system for performing the method includes a computer processor and machine-readable media accessible by the computer processor comprising non-transitory, instructions readable by the computer processor for performing the method steps of defining the digital non-CAD design file and deriving the digital representation therefrom.

Method for providing digital content

A method of delivering digital content for use on an electronic cutting machine. The method includes displaying at least one themed project in a rich internet application, where the themed project has at least one glyph of a glyph collection. The method further includes providing access to the rich internet application over a network and offering purchased access to the glyph collection. Any glyphs of the glyph collection can be added to the themed project. The themed project is cuttable on an electronic cutting machine in communication with the rich internet application.
