A computer system includes a calendar containing appointments. The system also includes one or more logic modules. Each logic module specifies a condition and a corresponding action. The profile may be applied to context data, such as data representing the current time, to perform the actions specified by the logic modules in response to detecting that the context data satisfies the conditions specified by the logic modules. In particular, the actions specified by the logic modules may be performed in response to detecting that the current time falls within the time period of an appointment on the calendar.
Method and apparatus for inbound message summarization
Method for displaying a message summary by analyzing the message to identify a sending institution and a message type. A message cluster is determined from the sending institution and repository of messages for multiple users. Extracted items can be identified in the message using the message type. Then the message summary can be generated using the extracted items, the message cluster, and the message structure. These summaries can be used to efficiently summarize a large volume of messages compactly.
Message user interfaces for capture and transmittal of media and location content
An electronic device includes a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and a camera sensor. The device displays a message region for displaying a message conversation and receives a request to add media to the message conversation. Responsive to receiving the request, the device displays a media selection interface concurrently with at least a portion of the message conversation. The media selection interface includes a plurality of affordances for selecting media for addition to the message conversation, the plurality of affordances includes a live preview affordance, at least a subset of the plurality of affordances includes thumbnail representations of media available for adding to the message conversation, and the live preview affordance is associated with a live camera preview. Responsive to detecting selection of the live preview affordance, the device captures a new image based on the live camera preview and selects the new image for addition to the message conversation.
Determining reply content for a reply to an electronic communication
Methods and apparatus related to determining reply content for a reply to an electronic communication. Some implementations are directed generally toward analyzing a corpus of electronic communications to determine relationships between one or more original message features of “original” messages of electronic communications and reply content that is included in “reply” messages of those electronic communications. Some implementations are directed generally toward providing reply text to include in a reply to a communication based on determined relationships between one or more message features of the communication and the reply text.
Payment via messaging application
Technology is disclosed for a convenient money transfer without requiring any account login and/or creation activities. The disclosed technology enables a sender to transfer a specified amount of currency to one or more recipients through a payment application while executing an instant message application. The payment application can act as a background process associated with or incorporated in the instant message application, so as to provide the user with a “seamless” user experience. In response to detection of a specified identifier, the technology can provide a user interface to collect a numerical value corresponding to the specified amount of currency, access a list of contacts in a database of the sender's mobile device, and provide the list of contacts to the sender. The technology enables the sender to manually select recipients from the provided list of contacts and can accordingly initiate a payment process based on statuses of selected recipients.

A system for and method of transmitting encrypted files using email and other electronic communication channels includes a computer program for storing encrypted files supplied by a user, creating a link to 5 the encrypted files to be e-mailed to a recipient, allowing download of the encrypted files when an authorization code is provided after the link is used to go to a system server, wherein the authorization code is sent to a telephone of the recipient, via text or aurally.
Systems for managing messaging conversations
A system for managing messaging conversations that can be simultaneous and can be maintained across various different autonomous processing systems is described. In one embodiment, the system (operated by or on behalf of a first organization) can include a messaging manager and a first autonomous processing system (first APS) and a second APS. The system can receive a first message and a second message, both directed to the first organization, and the messaging manager can select the first APS to respond to the first message and route the first message to the first APS which can transmit a response to the first message. The messaging manager can select the second APS to respond to the second message and route the second message to the second APS. The messages can be managed asynchronously without a persistent connection during the one or more conversations.
Ranging between mobile devices
A mobile device can include ranging circuitry to determine distance to another mobile device. A first wireless protocol can establish an initial communication session to perform authentication and/or exchange ranging settings. A second protocol can perform ranging, and other wireless protocols can transmit content. In one example, the distance information can be used to display a relative position of another device on a user interface of a sending device. The user interface can allow a user to quickly and accurately select the recipient device for sending the data item. As other example, the distance information obtained from ranging can be used to trigger a notification (e.g., a reminder) to be output from a first mobile device or used to display a visual indicator on a receiving device. Proximity of a device (e.g., as determined by a distance) can be used to suggest recipient for a new communication.
Revoking messages within a message chain
Methods and systems for revoking electronic messages. One method includes storing, for each of a plurality of forwarded messages, a record in a data store, each record including a link to an original message for the forwarded message, and receiving a request to revoke a forwarded message. In response to receiving the request, the method includes identifying an original message the forwarded message via a record stored in the data store and notifying, with an electronic processor, a user associated with the original message of the request to revoke the forwarded message. In response to receiving an instruction revoking the original source message from the user, the method includes identifying each forward of the original message via records stored in the data store and revoking the original message and each message associated with each record stored in the data store including a link to the original message.
Header recognition techniques for an email threading tool
In a computer-implemented method for facilitating recognition of header fields in electronic communication documents, header definition data and an electronic communication document are received. The header definition data defines one or more characteristics of a first header format, wherein the one or more characteristics include one or both of (i) keywords or partial keywords, and (ii) positions, corresponding to one or more header fields. Text-based content of the electronic communication document includes conversation segments, which include one or more headers. Using the header definition data, values of header fields of at least one of the plurality of conversation segments are determined. Using the determined values, an ordered relationship between the electronic communication document and one or more other electronic communication documents is determined. Metadata indicating the ordered relationship between the electronic communication documents is stored to facilitate user review of the electronic communication documents via an electronic document review tool.
