Systems and methods for electronic fund transfers for use with gaming systems

Electronic fund transfer (EFT) systems and methods are disclosed for managing and transferring electronic funds from a patron's financial account to provide credit in physical form. The systems comprise an electronic fund transfer (EFT) terminal, at least one credit system, and a gateway in communication with the EFT terminal, the at least one credit system, and a financial network. The EFT terminal is configured to communicate with the patron's financial account via the gateway and the financial network to electronically transfer funds at the patron's request.

CASH REGISTER AND TICKET VENDING WITH MINIMAL INFRASTRUCTURE
20230214802 · 2023-07-06 ·

Described herein are a cash register and a ticket vending mechanism that require little or no merchant infrastructure resulting in dramatic cost reduction for merchants. These are made possible through a payer-centric payment paradigm where the payer—as opposed to the merchant—completes the payment transaction without depending on the merchant, resulting in increased payer convenience and payment security.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CENTRALIZED AUTHENTICATION OF FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS

Disclosed are systems and methods for centralized authentication of financial transactions. An authentication server receives, from a client device, information for a financial transaction. In accordance with an embodiment of the disclosure, the authentication server executes in a kernel-based environment at least one authentication step based on the information. For example, in some implementations, the authentication server generates a PIN block and transmits the PIN block to a financial gateway, along with a request for the financial transaction. Notably, the client device does not need to perform the authentication steps executed by the authentication server, such as generating the PIN block for example. This can enhance security of the transaction system because information such as a terminal key used to generate the PIN block remains centralized and not on a client device where it could possibly be stolen by a criminal.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for facilitating transfers between user commerce accounts associated with a merchant of a commerce platform

Disclosed embodiments provide systems, methods, and apparatuses for facilitating transfers between user commerce accounts associated with a merchant of a commerce platform within a computing environment supported by a processor and a memory to execute such functionality. An exemplary system may include a means for creating a merchant account platform at the payment system; creating a single charge from a customer at the merchant account platform; creating multiple transfers from the merchant account platform to different connected accounts, wherein the multiple transfers are to each transfer a sub-portion of proceeds associated with the single charge from the customer to each of the different connected accounts; performing the single charge from the customer to the merchant account platform; and performing each of the multiple transfers from the merchant account platform to the different connected accounts. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM AND INTERMEDIARY DEVICE
20230214793 · 2023-07-06 ·

An information processing system includes a point-of-sale terminal, a store server, and an edge gateway connected to a first network. The store server can receive transaction data from the point-of-sale terminal and perform transaction processing. The edge gateway also receives the transaction data and can forward the data to a cloud-based server connected to a second network and to perform transaction processing based on the transaction data. The edge gateway monitors a state of the second network, sends the transaction data to the cloud-based server for transaction processing when the second network is operational, causes the store server to perform transaction processing when the second network is non-operational, and sends the transaction data to the cloud-based server for transaction processing and also causes the store server to perform transaction processing during a re-synchronization process after the second network becomes operational after being non-operational.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A REAL-TIME PAYMENT BETWEEN A CUSTOMER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION ACCOUNT AND A MERCHANT FINANCIAL INSTITUTION ACCOUNT FOR A TRANSACTION BASED ON A DIRECT COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A USER DEVICE AND A POINT-OF-SALE DEVICE

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a payment authorization to a real-time payment (RTP) network to initiate an RTP between a customer financial institution account and a merchant financial institution account. One method performed by a payment facilitator device includes, based on a user device of a customer and a point-of-sale (POS) device of a merchant performing a direct communication regarding a transaction, receiving a payment request for a transaction amount of the transaction and receiving a customer authorization for the transaction. The payment facilitator then provides a payment authorization to an RTP network to initiate an RTP for the transaction amount of the transaction from a customer financial institution account to a merchant financial institution account, based on receiving the customer authorization for the transaction.

Transaction security on distributed-ledger based MaaS platform
11551216 · 2023-01-10 · ·

A system and method for implementation of transaction security on a distributed ledger-based Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform is provided. The system includes a message broker device which receives a transaction request associated with a transport service from a publisher node of a transportation provider. The message broker device routes, via an API gateway hosted on the message broker device, the transaction request to a subscriber node of the transportation provider. The API gateway validates the transaction request based on application of a set of security rules on the transaction request. The subscriber node is associated with a first node of a distributed ledger node that stores a first state object. The first state object includes transaction data associated with the transport service. The distributed ledger node receives the validated first transaction request from the API gateway, via the subscriber node and updates the transaction data based on the received transaction request.

TRANSACTION NETWORK WITH COMMERCIAL FLEXIBLE INTERCHANGE

A method of providing flexibility of an interchange value in card payments via a commercial flexible interchange program includes receiving an authorization request for payment authorization for a transaction from an acquirer. The authorization request includes information of an account of a buyer associated with an issuer and an interchange value. The method further includes, upon determining that the issuer and the acquirer are registered in the commercial flexible interchange program, sending the authorization request for payment authorization for the transaction to the issuer, receiving an authorization response message, and determining whether the authorization response message includes a decline or an authorization for the transaction. In response to determining that the authorization response message includes the decline, passing the authorization response message to the acquirer. In response to determining that the authorization response message includes the authorization, storing the interchange value and sending the authorization response message.

Systems and methods for routing electronic transactions using network simulation and forecasting
11551218 · 2023-01-10 · ·

Systems and methods are for routing electronic payment transactions to PIN-less networks using payment pseudo-networks and electronic transaction simulation. One method comprises: receiving transaction-related information from a merchant, the transaction-related information including a bank identification number (“BIN”), one or more available network IDs, one or more merchant categories, an issuer regulatory status, a transaction amount, and a preferred status; extracting routing criteria from the received transaction-related information; dynamically identifying one or more eligible networks based on extracted routing criteria; dynamically identifying one or more breakeven transaction amounts for each identified eligible network, each breakeven transaction amount defining a point at which two or more eligible networks have the same expenses for a given transaction amount; and routing signature debit transactions from the merchant to a least cost PIN-less network selected from the eligible networks based on identification of a desired breakeven transaction amount for the PIN-less network.

Security attack detections for transactions in electronic payment processing networks

Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for detecting security attacks based on transaction flow graphs. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
