The systems and methods described herein provide for facilitating in-person payments at a transaction kiosk. First, the system provides an authentication interface for display at a network-enabled transaction kiosk. A user is authenticated at the kiosk via the authentication interface, and based on that authentication, the system detects a payment application and a payment request corresponding to the user, wherein the payment application is associated with a service provider and the payment request was created with the payment application. Next, the system identifies a user interface scheme associated with the payment application, and then updates the user interface for display at the transaction kiosk to match the user interface scheme, then initiates a blockchain payment based on the payment request.

Connector carriers (e.g., connector carousels) for use with electronic device processing kiosks, such as mobile phone recycling kiosks, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a connector carrier includes a chassis and a plurality of electrical connectors fixedly positioned around a periphery of the chassis. In operation, the connector carrier is configured to rotate about a central axis to position a selected one of the electrical connectors in a first position adjacent to an inspection area of the kiosk, and then move toward the inspection area to move the selected electrical connector from the first position to a second position in which a user can connect a mobile phone to the electrical connector.

A reading device includes a first support member extending vertically, a scanner attached to the first support member and including a window facing a first direction and through which an item can be scanned by an operator, an extension member attached to an upper portion of the first support member and extending in the first direction above the scanner, a camera attached to an end of the extension member in the first direction and configured to capture an image of the operator, and a controller configured to issue a notification signal when the controller detects from the captured image that the operator is carrying out a predetermined operation.

A reading device includes a first support member extending vertically, a scanner attached to the first support member and including a window facing a first direction and through which an item can be scanned by an operator, an extension member attached to an upper portion of the first support member and extending in the first direction above the scanner, a camera attached to an end of the extension member in the first direction and configured to capture an image of the operator, and a controller configured to issue a notification signal when the controller detects from the captured image that the operator is carrying out a predetermined operation.

A computer implemented method for managing charge availability of a charge unit (CU) to obtain charge for a battery of an electric vehicle (EV) is provided. The CU includes a computer for processing at least part of the method and for communicating with a server over a network. The method includes receiving, by the server, status information from the computer of the CU. The method includes sending to the computer of the CU instructions to make a reservation for the CU. The reservation is for a user account that has requested a desire to charge the battery of the electric vehicle of the user at the CU or another CU. The method includes sending, by the server, a confirmation for the reservation to the user account. The confirmation is viewable via a device having access to the server via the user account. The method includes sending, by the server, a data regarding a time of availability of the CU to the user account for the reservation. The computer of the CU is configured to display a visual indicator regarding the reservation of the CU.

A system for cashless payment of goods or services is provided which includes at least one payment unit disposed in at least one automat or machine, having at least one transmitting/receiving unit for short range communication; a processing unit; and a memory, wherein the automat or machine is connected to one or more other automats or machines via a short range communication means, at least one mobile device also having a transmitting/receiving device for both short range communication and long range communication, a processing unit and a memory. Systems and methods are provided for facilitating network transactions. One exemplary method includes receiving, from a terminal, a request for a conversion option for a transaction to a payment account, where the request includes a transaction amount for the transaction in a first currency and an identifier associated with the payment account. The exemplary method also includes determining a charge rate for the payment account for conversion of the transaction amount to a second currency, determining the conversion option for the transaction in the second currency based on at least a conversion rate and the charge rate, and transmitting the conversion option to the terminal in response to the request.

Systems and methods are provided for facilitating network transactions. One exemplary method includes receiving, from a terminal, a request for a conversion option for a transaction to a payment account, where the request includes a transaction amount for the transaction in a first currency and an identifier associated with the payment account. The exemplary method also includes determining a charge rate for the payment account for conversion of the transaction amount to a second currency, determining the conversion option for the transaction in the second currency based on at least a conversion rate and the charge rate, and transmitting the conversion option to the terminal in response to the request.
