Providing improved contact center agent assistance during a secure transaction involving an interactive voice response unit
A secure payment agent assist (“SPAA”) feature provides assistance to a contact center agent during a transaction involving sensitive information, where the sensitive information provided by the remote party is maintained in secure manner, so that the agent is not exposed to it. The agent is assisted by being provided with a pop-up window that allows the agent to invoke a “recollect” and “cancel” function during the transaction. The pop-up window also provides information to the agent making the agent aware of the progress of the transaction as the remote party interacts with an interactive voice response (“IVR”) unit. In other embodiments, a configuration parameter allows the prompts for the payment information to be provided by the agent or the IVR.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CALL CORRELATION
There is provided a method of correlating a telephone call between a first party and a second party with information that is to be used in a third party service implemented in relation to the telephone call. The method comprises routing telephone calls involving the first party via a third party service system that implements the third party service. The method further comprises, at a communication management system of the first party, determining call identification data for the telephone call and session data associated with a session of the third party service to be implemented in relation to the telephone call, and sending the call identification data and the session data to the third party service system; and, at the third party service system, receiving the call identification data and the session data from the communication management system, using the received call identification data to identify the telephone call, using the received session data to determine the information that is be used in the third party service, and correlating the information with the identified telephone call.
ROUTING TRANSACTION DATA OVER A DATA PIPE
A method and system for facilitating, via a first device, an electronic financial transaction with a second device having limited network connectivity. The method includes the first device detecting initiation of a financial transaction with the second device. The financial transaction is remotely processed by a transaction service. The method further includes facilitating an establishment of a data pipe that directly connects the first device and the second device to enable the second device to exchange transaction data with the transaction service, via the first device operating as an intermediary device. In response to the data pipe being established, the first device routes, via the primary connection to the transaction service, all transaction data received from the second device over the data pipe.
Peer-to-peer VoIP
A Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system is configured for direct communications between remote computing devices in a peer-to-peer configuration. Voice data from the communication is marked such that the voice data from the different endpoints can be combined into a unified audio stream. An authentication may be accomplished automatically prior to text or audio communication between a customer and a service agent. In some embodiments, authentication is accomplished automatically by authentication of the remote access device or accomplished by asking the customer questions. A single authentication of the remote access device may be used to authenticate a service request transferred between service agents. The authentication of the remote device may include, for example, use of a personal identification number, a fingerprint, a photograph, and/or a hardware identifier.

An apparatus includes a communications module that establishes a telephonic connection between a customer service representative of a merchant and a customer. An identification module receives an identifier. The identifier alerts a computer system of the merchant that the customer is associated with a billing profile stored on a computer system external to the computer system available to the merchant and the customer service representative. A billing profile access module receives information from the billing profile. The billing profile includes billing information of the customer. The billing profile is electronically accessed using the external computer system, via a network, to process a sales order between the customer and the merchant. A transaction module processes the sales order using the billing profile of the customer in response to a customer approval of the sales order. The transaction module shields the billing information of the billing profile from the customer service representative.

In particular embodiments, a method of transferring money by use of a payment proxy includes receiving a notification of an intent to initiate a monetary transaction in a message entered by a user of a communication platform, identified based on a determination of a particular context associated with content of the message. The method includes parsing the message to identify a unique payment proxy associated with a financial account having a syntax that includes a currency indicator and a string of characters. The method includes identifying a recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy. The method includes identifying a sender financial account based on the particular context associated with the content of the user message. The method includes initiating a transfer of a payment amount between the sender financial account and the recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy in accordance with the monetary transaction.

MULTI-MODAL ONLINE TRANSACTIONAL PROCESSING SYSTEM
Systems, methods, and computer program products for managing the exchange of sensitive information during a secure communication session. A session instance may establish one or more secure modalities with systems providing sensitive information, and establish one or more open modalities with systems that are participating in the secure communication session, but that may be non-compliant with security standards required to handle the sensitive information. A separate modality manager instance may be created for each modality to selectively control what information is conveyed to each system connected to the session instance based on security rules. The session instance may thereby allow non-sensitive information to be shared with systems connected through open modalities, while preventing these systems from accessing sensitive information received and transmitted through secure modalities.
