SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING TRANSACTION SIGNALS GENERATED BY A POINT OF SALE TERMINAL, USING MULTIPLE COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A system for processing transaction signals generated by a point of sale (POS) terminal of a merchant transaction system uses multiple communication networks, including a credit card association network and a second communications network separate and distinct from the credit card association network. Using an input device of the POS terminal, a loyalty card is physically scanned to obtain a token, which identifies a consumer using predefined elements. A transaction request message is transmitted via the association network to a loyalty program processor in a remote server. The loyalty program processor identifies the token and determines that the token cannot be used as payment for the transaction. Additional details of the transaction are sent from the POS terminal to the remote server via the second communications network, which additional details contain information not transmitted over the credit card association network.
DIGITAL PROPERTY REMITTANCE VIA TELEPHONE NUMBERS THROUGH TELECOM CARRIERS
The present disclosure is directed to one or more methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer readable mediums storing processor-executable process steps for processing a digital property remittance request from a sender's virtual wallet created based on a sender's telephone number subscribed from a sender's telecom carrier to a recipient's virtual wallet created based on a recipient's telephone number subscribed from a recipient's telecom carrier. The method comprises (a) receiving, via a telephone device, the digital property remittance request; (b) verifying, by the sender's telecom carrier, that the telephone device is an authenticated telephone device corresponding to the sender's telephone number; and (c) submitting, by the telephone device, after verification, the digital property remittance request to a distributed transaction consensus network for recording on a distributed ledger.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING MERCHANT STORE NUMBER
A system and method may retrieve transaction data for a plurality of electronic payment system transactions. The transaction data may describe a plurality of electronic payment transactions between a payment network system and a plurality of merchants. The transaction data may include a transaction location and a merchant store number. The system and method may parse the transaction data to identify the transaction location and the merchant store number and analyze the retrieved and parsed transaction data to identify one or more centroids for at least a portion of the retrieved and parsed transaction data. The one or more centroids may correspond to a merchant location for each transaction of the retrieved and parsed transaction data. The system and method may then clean the retrieved and parsed transaction data having a transaction location outside a threshold distance from the one or more centroids to include accurate merchant store number data.
Money transfer by use of a payment proxy
In some examples, a payment system generates, for a first user, a proxy identifier having a syntax including a symbol and a string of one or more characters that are concatenated such that the symbol appears immediately before the string. The proxy identifier is associated with a financial account of the first user. The payment system receives an indication of an intent to transfer funds from a second user to the first user. The indication includes the proxy identifier in lieu of financial account information of the first user, and to identify the financial account of the first user for receiving the funds. Based at least on identifying the proxy identifier, the payment system accesses the financial account information of the first user and initiates the transfer of funds from the financial account of the second user to the financial account of the first user.
Third-party authentication systems and methods
The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for authenticating a customer in an online transaction. In one embodiment, a method includes initiating, in conjunction with an online transaction, an authentication query via a communication device associated with a customer in the online transaction, receiving customer authentication data from the communication device, sending the customer authentication data to a third-party authentication server to authenticate the customer using the customer authentication data, receiving a determination from the third-party authentication server whether the customer is authenticated, and allowing the online transaction to proceed in response to receiving the determination that the customer is authenticated.
Money transfer by use of a payment proxy
In some examples, a payment service system receives a request to associate a proxy identifier with a user account of a charity. The proxy identifier is individually distinguishable from other proxy identifiers associated with user accounts of other users, and has a syntax including a symbol and a string of one or more characters. The symbol and the string are concatenated such that the symbol appears immediately before the string. The payment service system receives, via an application on a user device of a user, an input associated with the proxy identifier, and performs a database lookup to identify the user account associated with the proxy identifier. Information associated with the user account of the charity is presented via a user interface presented by the application. The user interface enables the user to donate funds from a financial account of the user to the user account of the charity.
MONEY TRANSFER IN A FORUM USING A PAYMENT PROXY
In particular embodiments, a method of transferring money by use of a payment proxy includes receiving a notification of an intent to initiate a monetary transaction in a message entered by a user of a communication platform, identified based on a determination of a particular context associated with content of the message. The method includes parsing the message to identify a unique payment proxy associated with a financial account having a syntax that includes a currency indicator and a string of characters. The method includes identifying a recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy. The method includes identifying a sender financial account based on the particular context associated with the content of the user message. The method includes initiating a transfer of a payment amount between the sender financial account and the recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy in accordance with the monetary transaction.
Systems and methods for tone to token telecommunications platform
Methods and systems are disclosed for enabling the generation of a token corresponding to a tone generated by a telephony system, comprising receiving one or more dual tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones generated by a telephony system, generating a token based on the one or more DTMF tones; and transmitting the generated token to a merchant system.
Radio module, corresponding device and program
A radio module includes a first baseband part, a second radiofrequency part, a first power supply interface for the baseband part and a second power supply interface for the second radiofrequency part.
COMPUTER SYSTEM AND COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR CARD-BASED EMAIL BANKING
A payment network server for processing a card-based email payment is described, the server comprises at least a computer processor and a data storage device, the data storage device comprising instructions operative by the processor to: a) receive instructions via email to transfer a payment amount from a sender's card account to a recipient's card account, wherein at least a sender's card number associated with the sender's card account is included in a sender email address; b) analyse the email to extract the sender's card number and a recipient's card number associated with the recipient's card account; c) identify a recipient issuer server associated with the recipient's card number; d) submit a request to the recipient issuer server to credit the payment amount to the recipient's card account; and e) submit a request to the sender's issuer server to debit the payment amount from the sender's card account.
