Methods and systems for gateway load balancing
Methods and systems for load balancing of payment requests among payment gateways by an e-commerce platform. The method may include detecting an anticipated load event and identifying a first payment gateway to be impacted by the anticipated load event, wherein a merchant account is associated with the first payment gateway. The platform may then identify, based on merchant parameters associated with the merchant account, a second payment gateway and, during the anticipated load event, transmit at least some payment requests first to the second payment gateway instead of to the first payment gateway.
Systems and methods for translating a gesture to initiate a financial transaction
Systems and methods for initiating and/or facilitating a financial transaction in response to detecting and translating a spatial gesture may be provided. A payor transaction device may be capable of detecting, via a motion-detecting device, a payor spatial gesture corresponding to a payment gesture of one or more predetermined spatial gestures and, responsive to detecting the payor spatial gesture, receiving payee account information from a payee transaction device. The payor transaction device may also be capable of transmitting, to a payor computing device, transaction data comprising the payee account information and data indicative of the payor spatial gesture. The payor computing device may be capable of transmitting at least a portion of the transaction data to a financial service provider terminal to enable the financial service provider terminal to facilitate the requested transaction.
Method and apparatus for efficient, entertaining information delivery
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method and apparatus for efficient, entertaining information delivery. In one embodiment, information is partitioned into clips. Clips are selected for a user and packaged together for presentation to the user in an entertaining manner. In one embodiment, the clips are selected and packaged together in accordance with a template. In another embodiment, information about a user is used to select clips. In one embodiment, a user is presented with a stream of information comprised of clips of information assembled for the user. The user may select a clip to retrieve additional information related to the clip. In one embodiment, the selected clip is a portion of a program (e.g., a television show, a movie, a song, an advertisement, etc.) and the additional information is a larger clip of the program and/or the entire program.
VIRTUAL SUBACCOUNTS
Apparatuses, systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed for virtual sub accounts. An apparatus includes an actual account module that receives information for an actual user account at a financial institution. An apparatus includes a virtual account module that creates a virtual account that comprises a simulated user account at a financial institution that is managed by an actual user account. An apparatus includes a linking module that links a virtual account to an actual user account so that the actual user account manages the virtual account.
System and method for using flexible circuitry in payment accessories
Systems and methods described herein may comprise RFID data acquisition technology which may be embedded in a fob or tag for use in completing financial transactions. This fob may a self-contained device which includes a transponder and which may be contained on any portable form factor and may comprise flexible circuitry. For instance, the fob may be housed in a wearable transaction instrument, such as a bracelet, ring, wrist band, retractable id, necklace, jewelry charm, lanyard, key ring fob, watch, band, pin, and/or the like. The fob is configured to be used in concert with an RFID reader device.
Digital overlay offers on connected media devices
A computing device includes memory for storing commercial metadata and offer metadata harvested from within an offer distribution network. A processor compares the commercial metadata related to a broadcast commercial to be streamed to a client media device with the offer metadata related to available offers from offer providers, to generate a comparison. The processor then selects an offer from the available offers based on the comparison; determines when and over what video stream the broadcast commercial is to be streamed; detects that a screen device is paired to the client media device; and delivers the offer to a display of the screen device during streaming of the broadcast commercial over the video stream to the client media device. When a user of the screen device selects an indicia of the offer, the offer is collected into a virtual wallet from which the offer can be redeemed in various ways.
VIDEO GAMES ON DEMAND WITH ANTI-PIRACY SECURITY
A method includes receiving, at a media device, a video game from a server via a network. The method includes installing, via the media device, the video game to a storage device associated with the media device. The method includes receiving, at the media device, a request to play the video game. The method includes sending an authorization request to the server from the media device via the network in response to the request. The method includes receiving authorization to execute the video game at the media device. The authorization is based on an identifier of the media device included in the authorization request being associated with rights allowing execution of the video game. The method also includes executing the video game via the media device in response to receiving the authorization.
EVENT NOTIFICATIONS FOR MULTIPLE SERVICES
Methods, computer-readable storage media and apparatuses for processing event notifications are disclosed. For example, a processor receives an event notification of an event from a device of a service provider that is providing a service to a user, wherein the network service provider is distinct from the service provider, determines that the service provider and the event are of a type of service provider and a type of event, respectively, that the user has consented to receive the event notification, sends a message in a unified message format to a device of the user, the message comprising the event, receives a response from the device of the user containing an indication of whether the event is an authorized event, and sends the indication of whether the event is an authorized event to the device of the service provider.
ENABLING USER TO USER INTERACTIONS IN MULTI-USER VIDEO CONFERENCE APPLICATIONS
There are provided systems and methods for enabling user to user interactions in multi-user video conference applications. A user may utilize a computing device to interact with online service providers in order to initiate and/or join a video conference with one or more other users. During the video conference, the user may be provided with options to interact with other users, such as by engaging in electronic transaction processing. When performing such interactions, data for the video conference may be extracted and provided to a transaction processor server. The server may then utilize the data to determine accounts of users within the video conference that may be utilized for electronic transaction processing services. If no account exists, the server may initiate a process to onboard such users. When an account exists, the server may further populate graphical icons that may be used for electronic transaction processing services.
