Contactless message transmission

A system and method uses one or more repurposed data fields in a payment transaction message to pass the merchant consumable data from a mobile device to the merchant system using an existing channel. The merchant consumable data relate to loyalty or rewards.

Device for transmitting and receiving a wireless radio signal, corresponding method and program

A device for transmitting/receiving a wireless radio signal. Such a device includes: a first interface for transmitting/receiving a radio signal according to a first transmission technology; a second interface for transmitting/receiving a radio signal according to a second transmission technology; and an adaptation stage (such as a chip), which extracts data from signals coming from the first interface and/or the second interface.

Device, system and method for mode-based synchronization of data records

A device, system and method for mode-based synchronization of data records is provided. Booking data is received, at one or more computing devices, from one of a first and second client device. When received from the first client device, in a first order mode for the booking data, the device(s): cause an order management system (OMS) to generate: order data at a first database; and cause a legacy system to generate a corresponding passenger name record (PNR) at a second database, the corresponding PNR being slaved to the order data. When received from the second client device, in a legacy mode for the booking data, the device(s): cause the legacy system to generate, a PNR and/or ticket data at the second database; and cause the OMS to generate corresponding order data at the first database, the corresponding order data being slaved to the PNR and/or the ticket data.

Methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure allow a customer or payor to select from a plurality of nearby vendors or payees when a computing device of the payor is physically close to electronic devices of the payees. Payee devices and locations of those payee devices may be identified and displayed on a display of a payor device. Once displayed, a specific payee device may be selected by the customer and an order for a product or service may be sent to the selected payee device from the payor device. After the product or service has been provided to the customer, information that confirms that purchase may be sent to any of the selected payee device, the payor device, or a payment processing computer and funds to pay for the product or service may be deposited into an account of the payee based on the confirmation.

Battery life estimation

Digital transaction apparatus including a Data Assistance Device (DAD), including a user interface that is operable to at least select data, and a DAD transmitter, a Digital Transaction Card (DTC), including a Digital Transaction Processing Unit (DTPU), and a DTC receiver, wherein the DAD and DTC are operable to transfer data from the DAD to the DTC and when subsequently using the DTC to effect a digital transaction, the DTC operates in accordance with the data selected and transferred from the DAD to the DTC, wherein the digital transaction apparatus further includes a remaining battery life estimation system operable to detect an occurrence of at least one electrical event and to measure the duration of the at least one electrical event, each electrical event having an associated power usage amount, and, subsequent to detection of an occurrence of an at least one electrical event, the remaining battery life estimation system calculates the total energy usage using the associated power usage amount in respect of the at least one electrical event and the duration of the at least one electrical event.

USER INTERFACE FOR TRANSACTIONS

The present disclosure generally relates to techniques for managing contextual transactions. In some examples, at a sender electronic device, a first user provides authorization to purchase an item for a second user. In some examples, at a recipient device, the second user selects one or more attributes for the item and requests to claim the item. In some examples, an electronic device displays a representation of an item and a purchase affordance for purchasing the item using a payment system that is available on the electronic device.

Unified Contactless Kernel System And Method

Embodiments relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for performing access interactions between a user device and an access device. A method comprises receiving, by an access device with a single universal kernel comprising a plurality of interaction functionalities and a plurality of sub-kernels, data comprising a kernel identifier identifying a requested kernel of a plurality of kernels to perform an interaction. The access device with the single kernel may determine a first sub-kernel of a plurality of sub-kernels corresponding to an interaction functionality based on the kernel identifier. The access device with the single universal kernel may then process the interaction according to the interaction functionality corresponding to the determined sub-kernel.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING TRANSACTIONS OF PRODUCTS
20230042284 · 2023-02-09 ·

Methods and apparatuses for supporting transactions of products are provided. One of the methods comprises, receiving, by a second terminal, information of a seller that is selling the products, from a first terminal, requesting, by the second terminal, verification of the seller's information from a server, in response to successful verification of the seller's information, acquiring, by the second terminal, a transaction identifier for the products from the server, measuring, by the second terminal, a distance from the first terminal creating, by the second terminal, transaction data including the measured distance and the transaction identifier, requesting, by the second terminal, verification of the transaction data from the server and in response to receiving a message indicating successful verification of the transaction data from the server, performing, by the second terminal, a payment routine for the products.

Systems and Methods for Determining Transaction Locations

Systems and methods for determining transaction locations are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a computing terminal, information indicating the completion of a transaction associated with a mobile device, sending, to the mobile device, a confirmation of the completion of the transaction, receiving, from the mobile device, location information indicating latitude and longitude information of the mobile device, confirming that the location information is within a predetermined distance of a stored location of the computing terminal, updating the location information associated with the computing terminal to include the received location information, and determining, based on the location information associated with the computing terminal, a location of the computing terminal..

SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING NETWORK MEMBERSHIP
20230039480 · 2023-02-09 ·

Aspects described herein may allow for determining network membership to facilitate detecting fraudulent messages. A computing device may receive, from one or more terminals at a first location, a plurality of interactive messages during a pre-determined time period. Each interactive message may comprise personally identifiable information of a user. The computing device may store a first record and a second record that indicate interactive messages were received from a group of users in temporal proximity to each other at the first location and the second location respectively. The computing device may send a request to confirm users in the subset are members of a network and update a membership list based on a reply received from the user. If further messages are received from devices outside the membership list, an alert may be sent to alert the possibility of a fraudulent message.
