MONEY TRANSFER BY USE OF A PAYMENT PROXY
20230137681 · 2023-05-04 ·

In some examples, a payment service system receives a request to associate a proxy identifier with a user account of a charity. The proxy identifier is individually distinguishable from other proxy identifiers associated with user accounts of other users, and has a syntax including a symbol and a string of one or more characters. The symbol and the string are concatenated such that the symbol appears immediately before the string. The payment service system receives, via an application on a user device of a user, an input associated with the proxy identifier, and performs a database lookup to identify the user account associated with the proxy identifier. Information associated with the user account of the charity is presented via a user interface presented by the application. The user interface enables the user to donate funds from a financial account of the user to the user account of the charity.

DECENTRALIZED SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSFERRING INFORMATION BETWEEN SUBSYSTEMS OF COMMUNICATION NETWORKS

Systems and methods which utilize one or more social networking systems when creating, funding, and/or notifying a party of a transaction are provided. In accordance with one aspect, a money transfer transaction may be staged by a user whereupon a link corresponding to the staged transaction may be posted to one or more social networking services in order to allow for multiple users to access and fund the staged transaction. Additionally, in some aspects a user of a social networking service may generate a comment or post which then automatically triggers the staging of a money transfer transaction. Moreover, social networking services may be utilized to provide various notifications regarding money transfer transactions.

Various embodiments are related to apparatuses and methods for enabling a sender to perform monetary transactions for a requestor. A sender can use, for example, a payment application associated with a payment processing system to perform a monetary transaction for a requestor. The payment processing system can send information related to the monetary transaction to, for example, a sender-requestor association component. When the monetary transaction is a deposit, the sender can receive funds for the deposit from the requestor. The platform can debit the requestor’s financial account for the deposit amount and credit the sender’s financial account with the debit account as a physical cash transaction occurs between the sender and the requestor.

A notification of a selection of a code displayed by a user computing device is received at a transaction processing server. One or more user identifiers associated with the user computing device are determined. Each user identifier identifies a user account at an online system and is determined based on a session with the online system active on the user computing device. Using the determined user identifiers, a user account including a mobile device identifier and user financial information is accessed. A request for user input is sent to a mobile device identified by the mobile device identifier. The request for user input includes a request for completion of a physical act on the mobile device by the user. Responsive to receiving an indication that the physical act was provided at the mobile device, the financial information is transmitted to a merchant server for conducting a financial transaction.

A system and method for verifying the presence of a live, real individual when performing a mobile payment transaction in a more convenient and accurate manner. The system includes a mobile computing device, the mobile computing device comprises at least one light source configured to emit light through a body part of a user of the mobile computing device; at least one light sensor configured to measure reflected light from the at least one light source reflected off of blood vessels within the user; and a camera configured to capture at least one image or vide of the user to obtain a measurement indicative of changes in blood volume based on the measured reflected light and at least one image or video of a payment instrument of the user.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING INFLUENCE OF CHANNELS IN A SOCIAL NETWORK
20230206351 · 2023-06-29 ·

A social media service and platform generates an improved measure of influence based on measures of purchases of fans made in response to content appearing on an influencer’s channel. The improved influence score addresses the problem that conventional influence scores are often unreliable due to the use of bots and other techniques to artificially increase the number of fans and likes of an influencer’s channel. Additional measures to ensure integrity of channels and support privacy and security may also be supported by the social network service.

STARTING NETWORK-BASED SERVICES USING A VOCAL INTERFACE WITH COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE ON A MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICE

A method for starting network-based services using a vocal interface includes collecting voice information from a user and identifying network-based service information and transaction data. The network-based service information includes a voice command for starting one or more network-based services for the user. The transaction data includes one or more parties associated with a transaction and a transaction amount. The method further includes sending at least a portion of the voice information that includes the network-based service information and the transaction data to a server to process the one or more network-based services based on the service information and the transaction data.

SYNERGY RULES FOR DISTRIBUTED PRODUCT OR SERVICE
20230206269 · 2023-06-29 ·

The present disclosure is directed to a system and method to allow sellers of products to establish individual products in a multilevel marketing (MLM) commission system, where the product is offered and sold to a first purchaser—who then actively by requesting a code, or passively, through the purchase of the product, becomes a user of the commission system. This user is provided a code such that the code may be passed onto followers of the registered user. The registered user will be allowed to advertise the product to a second purchaser and the second purchaser will be allowed to purchase the product and provide advertisements to other purchasers. Commissions paid to respective downline purchasers for a single product may be limited by a preset number of defined levels. After a product is purchased, commissions are paid out to each respective purchaser according to the defined commission levels. The system may integrate with other MLM organizations, detect potential product conflicts, and alter the commission plan for users that are members of that organization.

Efficient and secure communication using wireless service identifiers

Systems and methods are provided for reducing communications between servers and a mobile device and providing enhanced security and privacy to wireless beacon services. This can involve a broadcast device transmitting a beacon transmission using a short range wireless radio, such a Bluetooth or WiFi, and including a MAC address, a first unique identifier, and a beacon service identifier. The mobile device then selects one or more unique identifiers from received beacon transmissions, by filtering (that is, selecting) those beacon transmissions which include the beacon service identifier. The wireless device then takes further action, if the first unique identifier is present among the selected one or more unique identifiers, using stored information from the server. The stored information may be delivered to the wireless device in response to the wireless device sending the first unique identifier to a server, or the stored information may have been previously downloaded.

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media can determine a first orientation in which a computing system is positioned. A first functionality can be provided when the computing system is positioned in the first orientation. It can be determined that the computing system becomes positioned in a second orientation. A second functionality can be selected, out of a set of functionalities, based on a current state associated with the computing system. The second functionality can be provided when the computing system becomes positioned in the second orientation.
