VARIATIONS MANAGEMENT
Systems and methods are presented by which a contractor can initiate a proposed variation to a project contract and request payments against the proposed variation even before the variation is approved by the other party to the project contract. A data structure representative of proposed variation is generated and maintained as the proposed variation is reviewed, approved, and elevated to become part of the actual budget for the project. Because the same data structure is maintained throughout the process and after the proposed variation is approved, payment requests, payments, and any other actions taken against the data structure before the proposed variation is approved are automatically linked to the actual budget after approval and, thereby, are recognized and processed by external accounting systems as though the variations were created by the other party to the contract.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VISUALIZING CRIME DETERRENT EFFECTS
A process for displaying crime deterrent effects includes first receiving patrol route information indicating a patrol route taken by a law enforcement patrol and determining a type of the law enforcement patrol. Subsequently, a deterrent effect parameter associated with the law enforcement patrol is determined as a function of the determined type of the law enforcement patrol. Finally, an electronic display is caused to display a cartographic map of a geographic area at least partially including the patrol route taken by the law enforcement patrol and, along the patrol route taken, to display a deterrent effect indicator having a radius, width, size, and/or fade time that varies as a function of the type of the determined deterrent effect parameter.
Transaction-enabled systems and methods for resource acquisition for a fleet of machines
The present disclosure describes transaction-enabling systems and methods. A system can include a controller and a fleet of machines, each having at least one of a compute task requirement, a networking task requirement, and an energy consumption task requirement. The controller may include a resource requirement circuit to determine an amount of a resource for each of the machines to service the task requirement for each machine, a forward resource market circuit to access a forward resource market, and a resource distribution circuit to execute an aggregated transaction of the resource on the forward resource market.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a specifying unit and an output unit. The specifying unit specifies, in a case where multiple pieces of first and second information have been accumulated, each piece of first information indicating a document and an order of processes of a certain operation performed on the document and a corresponding piece of second information indicating a result of the certain operation in terms of multiple items, either of the multiple items on the basis of an operation performed by a user. The output unit outputs a piece of first information corresponding to a piece of second information for which the result of the certain operation meets a condition in terms of the specified item among the multiple pieces of first and second information.
Method and apparatus for automatically extracting information from unstructured data
Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for automatically extracting information from unstructured data are provided. A receiver receives digitized data of a document having unstructured data format. A processor applies machine learning models for sectioning the digitized data. An OCR device applies an OCR processing to the sectioned digitized data. The processor matches the sectioned digitized data to patterns and rules; applies classification models to the matched digitized data to identify entities and events from the sectioned digitized data; automatically link each entity with corresponding event in a hierarchical format to generate a document having structured data format; and output the document having the structured data with metadata having the linked entity with corresponding event in the hierarchical format to downstream applications.
BOARD PORTAL SUBSIDIARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
A board portal system provides the ability to manage multiple boards, where each of the boards may be a separate legal entity. The board portal may provide the ability to establish links between the multiple boards and create parent-child relationships with subsidiary boards. With the board portal, users can create content and make it viewable and accessible across multiple boards that related through a parent-child relationship. At the same time, the board portal maintains a requisite level of separation between the related boards in the portal using encryption and/or other separation techniques. As a result, the board portal facilitates flexible workflow patterns and communication processes based on the proper hierarchical structure that exists between the parent organization and its subsidiaries.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND USER INTERFACES IN A PATENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A system and method are provided for automatically proofing the patent specification of a granted patent issued on a patent application. The method comprises the steps of scanning amendments made to the patent application during prosecution; assembling the most recent claims, based on the scanned amendments, to create a test claim set of the claims; comparing the test claim set to the claims of the issued patent as published; and identifying any differences between the compared sets of claims and communicating the differences to a user.
Method for Questioning Jurors
The disclosure details a computer program enabling parties to litigation to produce a questionnaire through an internet-based website and enabling jurors to respond to the questionnaire through such website. The program comprises numerous code sequences that assist the court, a court reporter, the parties to litigation (and counsel), and the judge in the process of selecting and empaneling jurors from a plurality of candidates.
