METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING DISPATCH OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT PATROLS FOR ACHIEVING A DESIRED DETERRENT EFFECT
20180012323 · 2018-01-11 ·

A process for improving dispatch of different types of law enforcement patrols (LEPs) for achieving a desired deterrent effect includes first receiving patrol route information indicating patrol routes taken by first LEPs, and then determining, as a function of a type of each of the first LEPs, a threshold level of deterrence reached for each of the patrol routes taken. Subsequently, a threshold level of deterrence desired (TLoDD) for each of the plurality of patrol routes is determined as a function of historical and/or real-time crime information. A first patrol route having a threshold level of deterrence reached (TLoDR) that is less than a TOoDD is identified and, as a function of the difference, a particular type of second LEP having a sufficient deterrent effect factor to compensate for the difference is identified. An available responding second LEP of the particular type is then identified for dispatch.

Predictive virtual reconstruction of physical environments

Embodiments of the present invention describe predictively reconstructing a physical event using augmented reality. Embodiments describe, identifying relative states of objects located in a physical event area by using video analysis to analyze collected video feeds from the physical event area before and after a physical event involving at least one of the objects, creating a knowledge corpus including the video analysis and the collected video feeds associated with the physical event and historical information, and capturing data, by a computing device, of the physical event area. Additionally, embodiments describe identifying possible precursor events based on the captured data and the knowledge corpus, and generating a virtual reconstruction of the physical event using the possible precursor events, displaying, by the computing device, the generated virtual reconstruction of the predicted physical event, wherein the displayed virtual reconstruction of the predicted physical event overlays an image of the physical event area.

Gunshot detection system with forensic data retention, live audio monitoring, and two-way communication

A gunshot detection system includes gunshot sensor units with microphones for detecting gunshots and capturing audio data depicting the detected gunshots and other ambient sounds, an environmental board with various environmental sensors for generating environmental data indicating environmental conditions. The audio data, environmental data, and position information can be stored locally on local nonvolatile storage of the gunshot sensor unit for later retrieval by law enforcement entities. In one embodiment, the gunshot sensor units include a wired and/or wireless data transfer interface for transferring the audio data, environmental data and/or position information to handheld units of law enforcement entities. The gunshot sensor unit can also stream live captured audio data for live monitoring by a control panel, and might also include speakers for providing audio playback of audio data from the control panel.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MULTI-DYNAMIC DATA RETRIEVAL AND DATA DISBURSEMENT

A device includes circuitry configured to provide a configurable platform including a rules-based processing engine, access and manipulate a plurality of configurable databases, retrieve first data from one of the configurable databases, register the first data for task programs, authenticate the first data according to authenticity parameters, process the first data against processing rules, identify and configure each task program when the assessment of the first data satisfies predetermined criteria, measure the ETL data load flow against a predetermined performance threshold, route the ETL data load flow to a database processing engine, and output a data disbursement of results when the first data is authenticated and the predetermined performance threshold has been satisfied by the rules-based processing engine. In one aspect, such implementation can increase data search and retrieval times as well as outputting a more thorough and accurate count of eligible end-user services.

Gradient flows in dataset space

Generally discussed herein are devices, systems, and methods for machine learning (ML) by flowing a dataset towards a target dataset. A method can include receiving a request to operate on a first dataset including first feature, label pairs, identifying a second dataset from multiple datasets, the second dataset including second feature, label pairs, determining a distance between the first feature, label and the second feature, label pairs, and flowing the first dataset using a dataset objective that operates based on the determined distance to generate an optimized dataset.

Methods and apparatus for lawful interception of communications

Lawful intercept is supported by providing a network communications device target identifiers in encrypted form. Received encrypted target identifiers are stored in a non-volatile storage device. Before communications interception occurs, one or more encrypted target identifiers are loaded into active memory which is secure and not accessible by a network device operating system administrator. A decryption request is sent to a security device and the result loaded into the secure active memory. Plain text target identifier(s) returned by the security device are loaded directly into the active memory without being stored in the operating system administrator accessible storage device. In the case of a reset resulting in the contents of the active memory being lost, the active memory is repopulated by sending decryption requests using the stored encrypted target identifiers to indicate to the security device the target identifiers which need to be decrypted and reloaded into active memory.

Dynamic configuration of policy based routes using traffic rules and route maps

A cloud-based multi-tenant system for policy-driven locality route and traffic management is disclosed. The cloud-based multi-tenant system includes a plurality of routes through the cloud-based multi-tenant system to deliver services to a plurality of end user devices. Each route is characterized by one or more of locality and residency. The plurality of routes are specified for a plurality of policies. An application running on an end user device requests a policy chosen from the plurality of policies. A route of the plurality of routes corresponding to the policy, traffic rules, and route maps corresponding to the policy for the end user device are returned. Communication is performed via the route between the application and a cloud service according to the policy. Compliance with the policy is tested for locality and residency, telemetry according to the testing is reported, and the plurality of routes is updated based upon the telemetry.
