System and application for auditory guidance and signaling

In various embodiments, methods, systems, and mobile platforms are provided for providing auditory guidance. In certain exemplary embodiments, a method includes receiving information pertaining to a guidance task to provide auditory guidance proximate a location or target for a platform; selecting, via a processor, a plurality of transducers proximate the location or target, the plurality of transducers including: a first transducer disposed on a first side of the location or target; and a second transducer disposed on a second side of the location or target, opposite the first side; and controlling, via the processor, the plurality of transducers to provide auditory signals, such that the first transducer and the second transducer produce respective auditory signals that are phase cancelled with respect to one another, to thereby provide the auditory guidance to the location or target.

ZONE-BASED BUILDING CONTROL AND MONITORING SYSTEM

Systems and methods for controlling environmental conditions in a building are described herein. The system determines real-time locations of one or more user devices. When an occupant of the building uses a user device to send a request to change an environmental condition, the system identifies a control zone that corresponds to a current location of the user device and determines a system setting for the subsystem that is associated with the requested change. The determined system setting is communicated to the subsystem to implement the change in the environmental condition at the control zone in response to the requested change.

BUILDING-RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Systems and methods for managing resources of a building are described herein. The system determines real-time locations of one or more user devices that correspond to persons within the building. When one of the user devices generates a reservation request to reserve an occupant space in the building, the system determines a space that matches the requests and assigns the space to the requesting user. Once the occupant space is assigned to the user, the system can further calculate personal routes that guide the user to and/or from the assigned space.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SITUATIONAL AWARENESS TO FIRST RESPONDERS
20240212082 · 2024-06-27 ·

Systems and methods for providing situational awareness of a building to first responders are described. The system includes a server that receives and stores building information, such as a floor plan and other information. The system further includes one or more sensors that, whether or not periodically, senses situational awareness of the building and uploads that information to the server. A building identification affixed to the building allows a first responder to access the building information and situational awareness information at any time, such as during a situation or an incident, such as an emergency.

Smart emergency exit sign

Systems and methods for providing security to building occupants include a plurality of smart exit signs positioned at locations in or around a secure area to be monitored. Input devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to be receptive to sensory activity within the secure area. The system further includes a master controller configured to analyze input signals indicative of the sensory activity detected within the secure area to determine whether a potential security issue exists. Output devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to receive indication from the master controller when a potential security issue exists. In response to receiving indication from the master controller, the output devices are configured to assist occupants within the secure area to respond to the potential security issue by providing real-time information on optimum exit routes or shelter-in-place locations.

BEACON ASSISTED EMERGENCY PERSONNEL LOCATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

A communications system for emergency personnel comprising a plurality of beacons disposed in a building or large structure, wherein each beacon is placed in a location such that it can communicate with at least its next nearest beacon when activated and/or nearby emergency personnel. Each beacon comprises a low power consumption PCBA, a battery, and a housing. Each beacon is installed in the building or large structure prior to a disaster incident or emergency event.

EXTRACTION OF ROUTING CARD INFORMATION OF AN EVENT SYSTEM
20240219182 · 2024-07-04 ·

Devices, systems, and methods for extraction of routing card information of an event system are described herein. In some examples, one or more embodiments include a computing device comprising a memory and a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory to receive a file of a routing card associated with a facility including the event system, convert the file to an image, extract facility information, map and routing information, and event device information from the image of the routing card, and generate an output file having the extracted data as metadata in the output file.

Evacuation of buildings with elevator systems
10306411 · 2019-05-28 · ·

During an evacuation situation in a building that is equipped with an elevator system and in which a plurality of fixed point markers are arranged at defined sites, an escape route is transmitted to a person by means of a mobile device. The fixed point markers store data that can be received by the mobile device. An instantaneous position of the mobile device can be determined when the mobile device uses data received from a fixed point marker to access a database in which the data is linked to a site of the fixed point marker. The ascertainment of the escape route to a destination is based on the instantaneous position of the mobile device. The person is registered on reaching the destination when the mobile device is detected at the destination.

Systems and methods for planning location-sensitive probabilistic behavior based evacuation paths

Systems and methods for planning location-sensitive probabilistic behavior based evacuation paths, in a building, from source nodes to sink nodes in a network of routes including a plurality of vertices and edges are disclosed. For example, input parameters including layouts, number of evacuees at each source node, transit time, predetermined time period and maximum capacity associated with each edge and vertex are received. Further, weak evacuation schedules at a state of the evacuees are defined based on the layouts of the building, number of evacuees, transit time and predetermined time period. Furthermore, a strong evacuation schedule is defined based on the weak evacuation schedules and maximum capacity associated with each edge and vertex. Moreover, a mapping is defined from the strong evacuation schedule to the weak evacuation schedules to obtain a probabilistic behavior model. Also, an evacuation path is planned, in real-time, based on the probabilistic behavior model.
