SECURITY SYSTEM
Systems and methods for providing security to building occupants include a plurality of smart exit signs positioned at locations in or around a secure area to be monitored. Input devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to be receptive to sensory activity within the secure area. The system further includes a master controller configured to analyze input signals indicative of the sensory activity detected within the secure area to determine whether a potential security issue exists. Output devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to receive indication from the master controller when a potential security issue exists. In response to receiving indication from the master controller, the output devices are configured to assist occupants within the secure area to respond to the potential security issue by providing real-time information on optimum exit routes or shelter-in-place locations.
ADAPTIVE CAUSE AND EFFECT RULES FOR EMERGENCY EVACUATION
Systems, methods, and devices for adaptive cause and effect rules for emergency evacuation are described herein. One method includes performing a plurality of fire drills at a facility having a fire control panel, receiving data associated with each of the plurality of fire drills, and modifying cause and effect rules stored and implemented by the fire control panel based on the received data.
CREW SAFETY SYSTEM
The current invention relates to a crew safety system for monitoring persons on a ship. The system comprising a plurality of wearables in a two way connection with at least one room module, said room module being in a two way connection with a central module. Said two way connection between each room module and the central module being provided by cabling of a fire safety system. The invention permits the monitoring of the status of a number of crew members and the environment they work in while being advantageously easy and inexpensive to install, run and operate.
Route management
Locational tracking aids emergency management plans. Occupants of a building or campus are determined based on presence or detection of wireless devices. When an emergency occurs, the occupants may move to safety based on the current locations of their wireless devices.
System and method for location-based sharing of information and location-based response to the shared information
The disclosure is directed to a system and method for sharing, broadcasting, or publishing information by a user from a location in real-time and allowing one or more users near that location to directly respond to and directly communicate with the sharing, broadcasting, or publishing user. A computing device, for example, may receive a request for assistance from a first user computing device and determine a geographical location corresponding to the first user computing device. The computing device may publish the geographical location. The computing device may also receive a response to the request for assistance from a second user computing device and may determine whether the response indicates a request to establish communication with the first user computing device. Based on the determination, the computing device may establish direction communication between the first user computing device and the second user computing device.
Emergency location identification using wireless devices
Embodiments of the present disclosure include an efficient and accurate method for presenting victim locations to emergency responders. The method disclosed can be used to track individuals still remaining in a building in case of an emergency. The method comprises determining a location for an individual by receiving a device identifier (e.g., combination of numbers and/or characters uniquely identifying a receiving device associated with the individual) and location information, received from one or more beacons, from the receiving device. The method comprises determining a first location associated with the receiving device based on the location information and/or the device identifier. The method comprises determining different locations associated with the individual as the individual moves and determining whether the individual is still within the building. The method comprises, displaying location information and instructions to reach the individual in case of an emergency.
Methods and systems for planning evacuation paths
Methods and systems for planning evacuation paths are provided to identify an optimum path for evacuation of every evacuee from a region of interest. Methods of the instant disclosure ensure that for each suggested evacuation path, the capacity of any edge on the path is not exceeded and the evacuation time is minimum. A path once identified is maintained. A randomized behavior model is employed to re-distribute evacuees in emergency situations. This provides optimum evacuation time that employs an improved technique with optimized run time and evacuation time after taking into consideration herd behavior.
