Sharing content between electronic documents

A facility for managing an electronic document is described. The facility receives from a user input selecting a portion of the document, as well as input designating the selected document portion as being subject to approval-gated sharing. The facility persistently stores an indication that the selected document portion is subject to approval-gated sharing.

CONTENT ANTI-PIRACY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

A software and/or hardware facility that can be used by content owners to assert ownership of content so that copyright friendly websites and services can take action against copyright piracy effectively, efficiently and is scalable is disclosed. The facility makes available to all content owners watermarking/fingerprinting technology so an identifier (e.g., a unique code) can be embedded in the content (e.g., video/audio portion of each video content asset). The facility utilizes blockchain technology to add information related to each unique identifier in a database and allows an authorized user (e.g., the owner) to update the information through a blockchain transaction.

DOWNSTREAM TRACKING OF CONTENT CONSUMPTION

An example operation may include one or more of storing, within a blockchain, a request comprising an identifier of content and a value of a user who created the content, detecting consumption of a reusable instance of the content by a second user, designating fractional values of the content to the first and second users based on the detected consumption of the reusable instance, and storing, within the blockchain, a second request comprising an identifier of the reusable instance of the content, identifiers of the first and second users, and the designated fractional values of the content to the first and second users.

Video resolution enforcement and optimization in an adaptive bitrate environment

Methods and systems related to authoring and acquiring digital rights management (DRM) licenses are disclosed. For example, a computing device may generate or author a digital rights management license for a content asset that includes one or more usage restriction rules. A usage restriction may limit the maximum display resolution for a content asset. Another device may then receive the license and process the one or more usage restrictions prior to presentation of the content asset to a user.

Managing Redistribution of Digital Media Assets
20200349541 · 2020-11-05 · ·

In some implementations, a computing device may obtain an original digital media asset published to a server device along with a distributed ledger that tracks ownership of the original digital media asset. The computing device may generate a customized digital media asset that replaces the original digital media asset, and modify the distributed ledger to indicate the customization or modification of the original digital media asset and identify the customized digital media asset and the ownership thereof. The computing device may publish the customized digital media asset to a server device for distribution. Upon transfer of ownership of the customized digital media asset to a new owner, the distributed ledger may be modified to indicate the new ownership of the customized digital media asset.

BLOCKCHAIN-BASED IMAGE TRANSACTION SYSTEM, METHOD, APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
20200242215 · 2020-07-30 ·

The present application discloses a blockchain-based image transaction system, method, and apparatus. An exemplary method comprises: receiving a target image uploaded from a transaction node in a blockchain, wherein the target image is provided to the transaction node by a user; authenticating, based on image content of the target image, copyright of the target image; if the authentication is successful: generating a copyright certificate of the target image; sending the copyright certificate to the transaction node for the transaction node to display the copyright certificate and a preset prompt window to the user, wherein the preset prompt window inquires the user whether to make the target image as an image available for transaction; and if confirmation information is received, adding the target image into an image transaction pool, wherein the confirmation information indicates the user has determined the target image as an image available for transaction.

Connected audio and other media objects

Media objects are transformed into active, connected objects via identifiers embedded into them or their containers. A decoding process extracts the identifier from a media object and possibly additional context information and forwards it to a server. The server, in turn, maps the identifier to an action, such as returning metadata, re-directing the request to one or more other servers, requesting information from another server to identify the media object, etc. The linking process applies to broadcast objects as well as objects transmitted over networks in streaming and compressed file formats.

Augmented reality kiosk system and method

A method and system for generating an augmented reality image includes a kiosk and mobile computing device executing an application for interacting with the kiosk. The kiosk switches from a first set of images to a second set of image when the mobile computing device is proximate to the kiosk. A user selects one of the second set of images and the mobile computing device receives an augmented reality image according to the user selection. The mobile computing device combines the augmented reality image with a live image from a camera of the mobile computing device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN ON DEMAND KIOSK

A method and system for transferring media on demand to a mobile computing device of a consumer is presented. A sensor in a kiosk identifies a consumer by facial recognition algorithms or identification of the mobile computing device of the consumer. An interactive display presents media that is available for download by the consumer based at least in part on the identity of the consumer. The consumer touches their mobile computing device to a short range communications interface on the kiosk which transfers the media to the mobile computing device. The media can be streamed to the kiosk from a remote content server across a network. The kiosk can process the consumer payment for the downloaded media by sending payment transactions to a payment network.
