A system and method that varies the terms and conditions of a subsidized loan includes a data collection circuit structured to receive data related to an item of collateral that provides security for a loan; a valuation circuit structured to determine a value for the item of collateral based on the received data and a valuation model; a smart contract circuit structured to create a smart lending contract, wherein the smart lending contract specifies a covenant defining a required value of the item of collateral; and a loan management circuit comprising: a value comparison circuit structured to compare the value of the item and the specified covenant and determine a collateral satisfaction value, an automated agent circuit structured to automatically implement loan related activities in response to the collateral satisfaction value, wherein the loan related activities comprise: issuing a notice of default or a foreclosure action.

The present methods and systems relate to using and accessing data stored in a blockchain, and in particular, interacting with the blockchain and users via smart contracts to handle account funding and distribution methods. The methods and systems include receiving a transaction from a participant, and verifying the transaction, such as by accessing a smart contract stored on the blockchain and checking a set of parameters against a set of conditions stored in the smart contract. Depending on whether the set of parameters satisfy the conditions, the results may be communicated to participants about the success or failure of the transaction.

Techniques are provided for executing a software product that includes a plurality of machine instructions and that is associated with a measured usage pricing model. The executing of the software product includes tracking the usage of one or more computing resources for executing the software product in accordance with the associated measured pricing model. The executing also includes, for each of multiple sets of machine instructions, determining whether the set is associated with a token indicating that the set is a set of diagnostic machine instructions related to the executing of the software product. For each of those multiple sets of machine instructions, the executing of the software product further includes, responsive to a determination that the set of machine instructions is associated with the token, not tracking the usage of the one or more computing resources during execution of that set of diagnostic machine instructions.

A license verification method executed via a mobile device includes: encrypting a serial number of a target server with a license to generate a license activation request, and sending the license activation request to an activation server; receiving an activation result from the activation server, where the activation result is generated from the activation server in response to the license activation request; and sending the activation result to the activation server for determining whether to enter an installation process associated with the license or not.

A content author generates reprint permission information indicating reprint permission of content information in a state where a third party can acquire the content information on a network, and writes, as content information with reprint permission, the reprint permission information along with the content information. To protect digital content, a content player is installed on a content user device. A unique identifier for the content player installed on the content user device is provided to a central content storage entity. A license to play proprietary digital content stored on the central content storage is purchased from a storefront on the central content storage entity. The proprietary digital content includes an original work of authorship protectable by copyright. Content-player-specific digital content from the central content storage is downloaded to the content user device. The content-player-specific digital content includes encoded content of the proprietary digital content embedded with the unique identifier. The content player confirms that the unique identifier embedded with the encoded content matches the unique identifier provided for the content player before allowing play of the proprietary digital content on the content player.

A database may contain representations of: (i) software packages managed by a software management tool, including publishers, titles, and categories associated with each, and (ii) a plurality of software activities, including descriptions and amounts associated with each. A server device may be configured to obtain classifications of the software activities that predict the publishers, titles, and categories of the software activities from the descriptions. The server device may also transmit a representation of a graphical user interface that depicts first and second panes, the first pane listing the publishers with respective total publisher amounts and whether any of the unmanaged software packages are attributable to each of the publishers, and the second pane including a chart depicting the amounts incurred over time.
