20170372445 · 2017-12-28 ·

Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to perform symbol-based watermark detection. An example method includes, in response to determining that a first rate of occurrence of a first potential symbol equals a second rate of occurrence of a second potential symbol, a first accumulated signal to noise ratio value corresponding to occurrences of the first potential symbol value is determined. A second accumulated signal to noise ratio value corresponding to occurrences of the second potential symbol value is determined. One of the first potential symbol value or the second potential symbol value having a greatest accumulated signal to noise ratio value as the likely symbol value is selected. The likely symbol value is concatenated with other likely symbol values corresponding to other symbols of the watermark to detect the watermark.

DEVICES, METHODS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA FOR SCREEN-CAPTURE COMMUNICATION

The present disclosure provides for methods, apparatus and computer readable media related to screen-capture communication based on invisible watermark. An aspect of the disclosure provides for a method including inserting one or more templates into one or more frames of a video for correcting frame perspective of the one or more frames captured by a device. The method further includes writing a message into the one or more frames of the video and displaying the video. According to a second aspect, a second method is provided. The second method includes capturing one or more frames of a video displayed on a device comprising a hidden message. The method further includes locating one or more templates and correcting frame perspective of the captured frames based on the templates. The method further includes extracting the message from the one or more frames of the video.

A system for generating and detecting watermarks within a video frame (e.g., video content) is described to determine whether a data interruption has occurred. In one or more implementations, the system includes a generation module communicatively coupled to a video source and a watermark detection module configured to receive a plurality of video watermarks. The watermarking detection module is configured to determine whether a watermark embedded in a current (e.g., a second) video frame is different from a watermark embedded in the previous (e.g., a first) video frame. The watermarking detection module is configured to generate an error signal when the watermark embedded in the current (e.g., a second) video frame is not different than the watermark embedded in the previous (e.g., a first) video frame to indicate a data interruption event has occurred.

Use of Steganographically-Encoded Time Information as Basis to Control Implementation of Dynamic Content Modification

A method and system for controlling implementation of dynamic content modification. The disclosure provides for using at least one steganographically-encoded timestamp in a media stream transmitted to a media client as a basis to determine a transmission delay for media-stream transmission to the media client, and for providing the determined transmission delay as a basis to facilitate control over whether to have the media client implement dynamic content modification. In addition, the disclosure provides for receiving respectively from each of various media clients a report indicating transmission delay determined for the media client based on such steganographically-encoded timestamp data, and using the transmission delays for the media clients to establish a dynamic-content-modification footprint that could be used to control whether, where, and to what extent dynamic content modification will be applied.

A computing device receives a modified first image frame from a client device, wherein the client device stores the first image frame. The computing device generates a second image frame that corresponds to the modified first image frame with a watermark. The computing device transmits, to a third-party application executing at the computing device, the second image frame and generates an instruction for modifying the first image frame, the instruction based on an altered version of the second image frame that is identified by the watermark, the second image frame altered by the third-party application. The computing device transmits, to the client device, the instruction for modifying the first image frame.

SECURING IMAGE DATA DETECTED BY AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE

A method and device for securing image data detected by an electronic device is provided. The electronic may include a camera. In one aspect, a method includes: capturing image data using the camera; based on the captured image data, detecting a security marker displayed by a display device, the security marker being periodically displayed to be undetectable by a human eye that is viewing the display device; and in response to determining that the security marker is detected by the electronic device, applying a security policy to the image data captured by the electronic device.

DETERMINING A BOUNDARY ASSOCIATED WITH IMAGE DATA

A method and device for determining a boundary associated with image data captured by an electronic device is provided. The electronic device may include a camera. In one aspect, a method includes: capturing the image data using the camera; based on the captured image data, detecting a boundary marker displayed by a display device, the boundary marker is periodically displayed to be undetectable by a human eye that is viewing the display device; and modifying, based on the boundary marker, image data captured by the camera.

Content watermarking

In an embodiment, a method of decoding a watermarked video includes receiving a video including a watermark and three or more pilot signals. The method includes attempting to detect the watermark and retrieve a corresponding message in the video based on one or more decoding starting points of the video. The method includes outputting the message if the attempt is successful. If the attempt fails, the method includes detecting the pilot signals in the video; based on the detected pilot signals, estimating a geometric distortion of the video; inverting the geometric distortion for the video to generate a warped video; and attempting to detect the watermark and retrieve the corresponding message in the warped video based on one or more decoding starting points of the warped video.

Image capture prevention

A method, computer system, and a computer program product for image capture prevention is provided. The present invention may include, in response to embedding at least one digital security mark in a visual communication, securing the visual communication. The present invention may also include preventing, based on the embedded at least one digital security mark, an image capture of the secured visual communication.

A memory stores first video information displayed on a display screen. A processor generates embedded information varying temporally and superimposes the embedded information on an image part at least corresponding to an edge of the display screen in the first video information so as to generate second video information on which the embedded information is superimposed. An output interface outputs the second video information.
