Method and apparatus for prioritized volume rendering
In this patent, a method for prioritizing items within a 3D volume is presented. This allows prioritized items within the display to achieve preferential display. Augmented visualization strategies of such prioritized items are also provided.
System and methods for correcting overlapping digital images of a panorama
There is provided a method of processing digital images, comprising: selecting a reference digital image according to a uniform distribution requirement of pixel intensity values, performing for each certain overlapping image that overlaps with at least one other image at a respective overlapping region: computing a value for each respective gamma parameter for each channel of the certain overlapping image to obtain a correlation between pixel intensity values, corrected with the respective gamma parameters, of each channel of each overlapping region of the certain overlapping image, and pixel intensity values, corrected with respective gamma parameters, computed for each of the at least one other image, for each channel of each respective overlapping region, and creating corrected images by applying the computed value of each respective gamma parameter to the overlapping and non-overlapping regions of each certain overlapping image of the plurality of overlapping images.
Active screen for large venue and dome high dynamic range image projection
Apparatus and methods for displaying High Dynamic Range (HDR) imagery on a large screen suitable for viewing by a large audience in theater-size venues or domed simulators or iMax-like venues. A dual modulation method of projecting onto the front of an active projection screen and an array of high intensity light (e.g., diodes) projects the most significant bits (MSB) of the image onto the back of the screen while a standard dynamic range (SDR) video projector projects the least significant bits (LSB) of the onto the front of the screen. The result is a much higher brightness image than the projector alone can produce.
Image Acquisition With Reflex Reduction
A method and system for acquiring images of a target area by acquiring (S1) a first image of the target area with a first image sensor; acquiring (S2) a second image of said target with a second image sensor; and preprocessing the first and second images by 1) performing a spatial 5 transform (S3) at least one of said first and second images in order to compensate for different image acquisition angles, and 2) at least partly removing (S4) undesired reflexes from the first and second images to form first and second reflex reduced images. With the present invention, it is still possible to eliminate or reduce 10 unwanted reflexes, even though the viewing angles of the two frames are different.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE THEREOF
An image processing method and an electronic device thereof are provided. The image processing method includes performing a color processing procedure on the target pixel and correspondingly obtaining a plurality of first processed pixels. The color processing procedure includes: determining, according to the color saturation value of the target pixel and a color partitioning parameter, that the target pixel is located in a low color saturation region, a medium color saturation region, or a high color saturation region; performing suppression processing on the target pixel located in the low color saturation region, to suppress the color saturation value of the target pixel into a grayscale value; performing progressive suppression processing on the target pixel located in the medium color saturation region, to suppress the color saturation value of the target pixel according to a suppression ratio; and maintaining the original color saturation value of the target pixel located in the high color saturation region.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition unit that acquires a first image obtained through shooting and distance information of the first image; a detection unit that detects a main subject from the first image; an extraction unit that extracts another subject from the first image based on the distance information of the main subject; a setting unit that sets parameters of one or more virtual light sources that emit virtual light to the main subject and the extracted other subject; and a processing unit that generates from the first image a second image in which the main subject and the other subject are illuminated with the virtual light using the parameters set by the setting unit.
Image processing apparatus, magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, and storage medium
An image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a processing circuitry. The processing circuitry obtains an MR image acquired by a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and related to a brain. The processing circuitry divides a region of the brain in the MR image, into plural regions. The processing circuitry sets a parameter value used in generation of a calculated image generated by synthetic MRI and related to the brain, such that a relation of contrast among regions included in the plural regions becomes a predetermined relation. The processing circuitry generates the calculated image by the synthetic MRI, by using the MR image and the parameter value.
Method, Processing System and Computer Program for Processing an Image
In a method of processing an image formed of pixels, skin tone pixels in the image are detected. Local sharpening is applied to at least some of the skin tone pixels. The image is regenerated using the locally sharpened skin tone pixels.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes: an image acquisition unit to obtain a plurality of images that have been captured under different exposure conditions; an acceptance unit to receive designation of an area in a first image, the first image being one of the plurality of images; a brightness characteristics acquisition unit to obtain a brightness characteristic value of the designated area in the first image; and a combining unit to: determine a combining condition used for combining the first image and a second image according to the brightness characteristic value, the second image being any one of the plurality of images other than the first image, and combine the first image and the second image based on the combining condition to correct brightness of the designated area for display.
Image processing apparatus, control method thereof, and storage medium
An apparatus provides a unit capable of improving gradation characteristics of a plurality of images (crop images) even in a case where a plurality of users individually performs cropping (cutting out) on a distributed image, calculates a target gradation range based on histograms of the regions cropped by the plurality of users, and executes gradation conversion based on an overlapping ratio of the plurality of target gradation ranges.
