A drape element includes a sheet of flexible, non-magnetic material having opposed first and second longitudinal sheet edges, a longitudinal centerline toward which is defined an inward direction and away from which is defined an outward direction, and a first longitudinal pocket disposed proximate the first longitudinal sheet edge. A first straight magnetic wire is disposed in the longitudinal direction within an inward longitudinal portion of the first longitudinal pocket, and a first alternating sequence of magnets and non-magnetic spacers is disposed within an outward longitudinal portion of the first longitudinal pocket. Each of the magnets has opposed first and second magnetic poles, with a respective first magnetic pole of each of the magnets being disposed in contact with the first straight magnetic wire.

Nonwoven fabric for curtain and method for manufacture thereof

A nonwoven fabric for curtain in an embodiment of the present invention is formed from fibers having a thermoplastic resin as a main component, said nonwoven fabric for curtain being characterized in that: in the surface of the nonwoven fabric, the fibers are fused together at points where the fibers intersect, and the fibers are mutually isolated at locations other than the intersecting points; and furthermore, the KES surface roughness SMD of at least one side of the sheet is 1.2 μm or less, and the longitudinal tearing strength per fabric weight is 0.50 or more.

Implementations of a respiratory isolation enclosure for patients comprise a side surface, an upper surface, and one or more access openings and ventilation openings, and in some implementations may further comprise a lower surface. In some implementations, a method of using the respiratory isolation enclosure for patients comprises positioning and enclosing a patient with an infectious disease in the respiratory enclosure to respiratorily isolate the patient and prevent the spread of the disease from the patient to healthcare providers or other persons.

Method of making opacifying articles

An opacifying article can be made using a (i) fabric having a face side and a back side and an (ii) opacifying element having a substrate that has first and second opposing surfaces; and a dry opacifying layer that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The dry opacifying layer is disposed with its inner surface in contact with the first opposing surface of the substrate. The dry opacifying layer has (a) 40-90 weight % of porous particles, each having a continuous polymeric phase and discrete pores dispersed within the continuous polymeric phase. The porous particles have a mode particle size of 2-50 μm and a porosity of 20-70 volume %. The dry opacifying layer also contains (b) 10-60 weight % of a binder material. The (ii) opacifying element is laminated to the back side of the fabric to provide the opacifying article.
