METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SIGNAL PROCESSING
Watermarking is used to track and identify digital images. One claim includes acts of: processing obtained imagery to yield local image information, the local image information being inadequate to reveal a subject depicted in said obtained imagery, using the local image information, resolving geometric distortion of the imagery, the geometric distortion comprising scale and rotation, said resolving yielding geometrically resolved imagery, and detecting the encoded signal from the geometrically resolved imagery using secret detecting information. A great variety of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
COLLUSION ATTACK PREVENTION
Systems and methods are described for obfuscating variants of content segments. Variants of content segments can be used to encode an identifying sequence in a transmission of content. The variants of the content segments can each include one or more marked frames and one or more unmarked frames. Variations can be introduced into the unmarked frames for each of the variants of the content segments.
Methods and arrangements for enhanced digital signal detection
A method for transforming an input array of pixel data into an output array of data, to yield enhanced expression of a digital watermark signal in the output array. One such method includes, for each pixel in the input array, generating a first datum that indicates a value difference between said pixel and a neighboring pixel in a first direction, the first data thereby collectively comprising a first directional difference array. Similarly, for each such pixel in the input array, generating a second datum that indicates a value difference between said pixel and a neighboring pixel in a second direction, the second data thereby collectively comprising a second directional difference array. One or more transforms to a spatial frequency domain are then performed, using these first and second directional difference arrays as input data. First and second results from the one or more transformations are then combined to yield an output array. The just detailed process causes the digital watermark signal in the output array to exhibit a greater signal-to-noise ratio than in the digital watermark signal in the input array. A great number of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
TRUSTED INDICATORS TO SECURE VISUAL OUTPUTS
An example apparatus includes: memory; instructions in the apparatus; and at least one processor to execute the instructions to: check for proof of trust information in one or more pre-determined positions in a trusted digital image, the proof of trust information including a secure output marker, the secure output marker indicative of information corresponding to a trusted output area of the trusted digital image; decrypt the secure output marker using one or more security keys from a trusted execution environment (TEE), the TEE isolated from a computing application; and enable activation of a trusted output indicator in response to a match between first data corresponding to the secure output marker and second data corresponding to the trusted output area of the trusted digital image.
ZOOM AGNOSTIC WATERMARK EXTRACTION
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining a visually imperceptible or a visually perceptible watermark and outputting a result based on the determination. A watermark decoder receives an input image. The watermark decoder applies a decoder machine learning model to decode a watermarks at different levels of zoom. The water mark decoder determines whether a watermark was decoded to obtain a decoded watermark. The watermark decoder outputs a result based on the determination whether the watermark was decoded through application of the decoder machine learning model to the input image that includes outputting a zoomed output decoded through application of the decoder machine learning model to the input image.
Light-field messaging to embed a hidden message into a carrier
A method of light messaging, in which a hidden message is transmitted via coded image emitted from a display device and retrieved using a camera, comprises training a camera-display transfer model that receives images with hidden messages from an embedding model and generates modified coded images based on training data that accounts for properties of displays and cameras, the modified coded images delivered to a recovery model that decodes the hidden messages and outputs hidden message determinations, training both the embedding and recovery models using the CDTF model and training data to minimize differences between the input hidden messages and the hidden message determinations. After training the CDTF model and other models, embedding a hidden message in a carrier image using the embedding model, displaying the coded image using the display device, receiving the coded image at the camera, and retrieving the hidden message using the recovery model.
METHOD FOR SECURING IMAGE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING SAME
The disclosure relates to a method of setting security on an image. The method of setting security on an image including biometric data includes: searching for a region including the biometric data in a first image; detecting a biometric image corresponding to the biometric data in the searched region of the first image; encoding the detected biometric image; and generating a second image by synthesizing a watermark configured to block access to the biometric data, the first image, and the encoded biometric image.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
Provided is an image processing apparatus for generating a printed document with specific information embedded therein, including: a first obtaining unit configured to obtain image data to be used in printing; a second obtaining unit configured to obtain the specific information; an acceptance unit configured to accept designation of a printing apparatus for executing printing; an embedding condition determination unit configured to determine a condition for embedding the specific information into the image data according to a type of the accepted printing apparatus; a multiplexed image generation unit configured to generate a multiplexed image by executing embedding of the specific information under the condition determined by the embedding condition determination unit; and a control unit configured to perform control such that the printing apparatus prints the multiplexed image.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROTECTING DIGITAL PHOTOS FROM ALTERATION
An encoding apparatus partitions a digital image into multiple regions for subsequent encoding. A first encryption code is associated with a first region, a second encryption code is associated with a second region and the first code, and a third code is associated with the first code, the second code and a third region. An authentication apparatus authenticates the digital image in an inverse process.
Client forensic watermarking device, system, and method
A client forensic watermarking device, system, and method. A forensic watermarking device capable of communicating with a content server selecting a watermark mask area in which a watermark mask is displayed from video content and storing watermark area information about the watermark mask area in a storage unit according to the present disclosure may provide: a downloading unit requesting the video content to be played from the content server and receiving the video content and the watermark area information from the content server; a watermark mask generation unit outputting the watermark mask using the watermark area information inputted from the downloading unit; and an overlay unit superimposing the watermark mask inputted from the watermark mask generation unit on the watermark mask area of the video content inputted from the downloading unit, thereby enabling a client to display a forensic watermark so as to deal with a collusion attack.
