Hardware-Based Convolutional Color Correction in Digital Images
A computing device may obtain an input image. The input image may have a white point represented by chrominance values that define white color in the input image. Possibly based on colors of the input image, the computing device may generate a two-dimensional chrominance histogram of the input image. The computing device may convolve the two-dimensional chrominance histogram with a filter to create a two-dimensional heat map. Entries in the two-dimensional heat map may represent respective estimates of how close respective tints corresponding to the respective entries are to the white point of the input image. The computing device may select an entry in the two-dimensional heat map that represents a particular value that is within a threshold of a maximum value in the heat map, and based on the selected entry, tint the input image to form an output image.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, AND IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS
One embodiment of the present invention provides an image processing method, the method comprising: acquiring a plurality of viewpoint images; generating a contrast distribution from the plurality of viewpoint images; and generating an output image by performing image processing in accordance with the contrast distribution with respect to an image based on the plurality of viewpoint images.
Imaging Blood Cells
This document describes methods, systems and computer program products directed to imaging blood cells. The subject matter described in this document can be embodied in a method of classifying white blood cells (WBCs) in a biological sample on a substrate. The method includes acquiring, by an image acquisition device, a plurality of images of a first location on the substrate, and classifying, by a processor, objects in the plurality of images into WBC classification groups. The method also includes identifying, by a processor, objects from at least some classification groups, as unclassified objects, and displaying, on a user interface, the unclassified objects and at least some of the classified objects.
WEARABLE WITH TEST STRIPS AND OPTICAL READER FOR SKIN
The present invention generally relates to a wearable electronic device that collects information about test sample using an optical sensor. The wearable device photographs and analyzes one or more organic samples placed on one or more immunoassay regions of a test strip in order to reveal information about the sample. The wearable electronic device may also sequentially photograph a plurality of individual organic samples applied to different immunoassay regions of a test strip.
IMAGING DEVICE, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM
An imaging device includes a light separator that separates light into light bands, and imaging elements that each receives one of the light bands and generates a corresponding signal. Each of the imaging elements has a pixel size of at most 2.5 μm by 2.5 μm. A registration error among the imaging elements is equal to or less than a threshold determined according to the pixel size.
System for image compositing including training with synthetic data
Embodiments allow live action images from an image capture device to be composited with computer generated images in real-time or near real-time. The two types of images (live action and computer generated) are composited accurately by using a depth map. In an embodiment, the depth map includes a “depth value” for each pixel in the live action image. In an embodiment, steps of one or more of feature extraction, matching, filtering or refinement can be implemented, at least in part, with an artificial intelligence (AI) computing approach using a deep neural network with training. A combination of computer-generated (“synthetic”) and live-action (“recorded”) training data is created and used to train the network so that it can improve the accuracy or usefulness of a depth map so that compositing can be improved.
FREQUENCY-ADAPTIVE DESCREENING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SAME
A frequency adaptive descreening method includes obtaining a scan image of an original document, dividing a region of the scan image by analyzing frequency characteristics of the obtained scan image, estimating a resolution with respect to each of regions resulting from dividing the region according to the analyzed frequency characteristics, and adaptively performing filtering on the regions resulting from dividing the region by using the estimated resolution.
MEASURING AND MONITORING SKIN FEATURE COLORS, FORM AND SIZE
Kits, diagnostic systems and methods are provided, which measure the distribution of colors of skin features by comparison to calibrated colors which are co-imaged with the skin feature. The colors on the calibration template (calibrator) are selected to represent the expected range of feature colors under various illumination and capturing conditions. The calibrator may also comprise features with different forms and size for calibrating geometric parameters of the skin features in the captured images. Measurements may be enhanced by monitoring over time changes in the distribution of colors, by measuring two and three dimensional geometrical parameters of the skin feature and by associating the data with medical diagnostic parameters. Thus, simple means for skin diagnosis and monitoring are provided which simplify and improve current dermatologic diagnostic procedures.
Cloud-based framework for processing, analyzing, and visualizing imaging data
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatus, systems, computing devices, computing entities, and/or the like for detecting objects located in an area of interest. In accordance with one embodiment, a method is provided comprising: receiving, via an interface provided through a general instance on a cloud environment, imaging data comprising raw images collected on the area of interest; upon receiving the images: activating a central processing unit (CPU) focused instance on the cloud environment and processing, via the image, the raw images to generate an image map of the area of interest; and after generating the image map: activating a graphical processing unit (GPU) focused instance on the cloud environment and performing object detection, via the image, on a region within the image map by applying one or more object detection algorithms to the region to identify locations of the objects in the region.
