Portable cooler container with active temperature control
An actively heated or cooled food container can have a lid movable between an open and a closed position and an insulated body to which the lid can be attached. The insulated body can have a sidewall that defines a perimeter of the container body and a base, the sidewall and base defining one or more chambers that can be sealed by the lid. The food container can have a temperature control system that can include one or more heating or cooling elements in thermal communication with one or both of the sidewall and the base and operable to heat or cool one or both of the sidewall and the base to thereby heat or cool the one or more chambers in the food container.
AN INDUCTION JUG HEATER
An induction heater (10) for a jug (11). The jug (11) includes a base (12) from which there upwardly extends a side wall (13). The induction heater (10) includes an outer housing (15) that encloses that chamber (16). Located in the chamber (16) is the electronic component for the heater (10), including an electronic oscillator (17). The heater (10) includes a cavity (18) within which the jug (11) is located.
THERMALLY SENSITIVE CONTROLS
A thermally sensitive control for controlling a power supply circuit to a heater in a liquid heating appliance is provided. The control includes a cordless connector part arranged to mate with a base connector part, first and second moveable electrical contacts mounted on first and second moveable members, and first and second thermally sensitive actuators. The control further includes a latch arm extending across the control between the moveable members, the latch arm including a first latch for the first moveable member and a second latch for the second moveable member, and a release member including a release part and a plunger, wherein the release member is resiliently biased to bring the release part into contact with the latch arm but the resilient bias is overcome when the plunger bears against a surface of the base connector part.
SMART KETTLE USING INDUCTION HEATING
A smart kettle is disclosed. The smart kettle includes a body that is configured to increase in temperature in response to a magnetic field. The smart kettle further includes a temperature sensor that is located on a bottom of the body and that is configured to measure a temperature of the bottom of the body. The smart kettle further includes a controller that is configured to adjust a strength of the magnetic field based on the temperature measured by the temperature sensor by outputting a control signal.
Beverage Brewer with Hot- and Cold-Brew Options
A beverage brewer includes a pump, intake tube and outflow tubes, a brewing material holder, and a container. The intake tube is connected to an inlet port of the pump. The outflow tube is connected to an outlet port of the pump. The brewing material holder is configured to hold brewing material at an issue end of the outflow tube. The container is arranged at an issue portion of the brewing material holder. A suction end of the intake tube is arranged for fluid communication with an interior of the container. The pump is configured to draw fluid from within the container through the intake tube and to issue the fluid into the brewing material holder through the outflow tube, to brew a beverage in the brewing material holder and issue the brewed beverage into the container. At least a portion of the intake tube is attached to the container.
Electric kettle system
An electric kettle system designed for particular use onboard passenger transportation vehicles. In many instances, hot beverages are brewed using a separate beverage maker system, but it may be desirable to maintain the warmth/heat of a kettle containing the hot beverage that is separate from the beverage maker system. The electric kettle system described provides a base and a carafe with a locking connection therebetween. The system incorporates a heater plate within the carafe, and the heater plate is activated when the carafe is positioned on the base.
SELF-HEATING CONTAINER FOR FOOD
A container made from an electrically insulating material whose walls are functionally connected to a temperature sensor and incorporate heating groups consisting of a plurality of elongate metal elements; should the container be made from glass, the coefficient of thermal expansion of the heating groups is similar to that of glass. The container is functionally associated with an electronic power and control module, connected to the heating groups and comprising a rechargeable energy accumulator of a type with one or several high-performance cells. The metal elements are heated by Joule effect by the flow of a pulsed current provided by the energy accumulator and controlled by the electronic power and control module.
ELECTRIC KETTLE
An electric kettle includes a power supply base and a kettle main body. The kettle main body has a container, a heater provided on the container, a water amount sensor that detects the amount of water in the container, a water temperature sensor that detects the current temperature of the water in the container, and a first display part that displays information on the amount of water detected by the water amount sensor. The power supply base has a power supply cable to be connected to a utility power supply, an operation part that receives a user operation concerning the desired temperature of the water, a power supply circuit that generates a driving power for the heater from an electric power supplied from the utility power supply, and a second display part 46 that displays the current temperature and the desired temperature in a time division manner. The kettle main body includes a battery that drives the water amount sensor and the first display part when the kettle main body is separated from the power supply base.
