Visible light sensor configured for detection of glare conditions
A device may be configured to detect a glare condition and may comprise a photo sensing circuit and a visible light sensing circuit. The photo sensing circuit may be configured to periodically generate an illuminance signal that indicates an illuminance value. The visible light sensing circuit may be configured to periodically record images of the space at an exposure time. The device may receive an illuminance signal from the photo sensing circuit and determine a present illuminance based on the illuminance signal. The device may adjust the frequency at which the visible light sensing circuit records images based on the present illuminance. The exposure time may be determined based on the present illuminance and a glare condition type. An image recorded at a respective exposure time may wash out pixels above a certain illuminance value. The device may detect a glare condition at the location of washed out pixels.

System for composing identification code of subject
A system includes a lighting module, a processing module, and photovoltaic units. Each of the photovoltaic units receives light reflected off a body portion which is illuminated by light from the lighting module, and converts light energy of the reflected light into electricity. The processing module stores modes each of which specifies a code set. When one of the modes is selected, the processing module activates the lighting module to emit light based on the code set specified by the mode thus selected. The processing module converts electrical quantities measured individually for the photovoltaic units into respective code parameters, and composes an identification code using the code parameters.

ILLUMINATION COMPENSATION IN IMAGING
In an embodiment, a method (100) is described. The method comprises obtaining (102) a three-dimensional representation of a body surface. The method further comprises obtaining illumination information for the three-dimensional representation that is indicative of an orientation of the body surface relative to a reference axis. The method further comprises determining illumination compensation information (104). The illumination compensation information is used (106) to compensate for an illumination variation apparent from the illumination information in an image of the body surface.

LIVE CALIBRATION
A device includes an offset subtraction unit; an image sensor which receives, for each of a plurality of bright frames, a respective image signal obtained during a respective exposure time of the image sensor, and transmits the same to the offset subtraction unit, and receives, for a dark frame, a respective image signal obtained during a respective exposure time of the image sensor, and transmits the same to the offset subtraction unit; and a control unit which ensures that the image sensor alternately transmits a number of bright frames and one dark frame to the offset subtraction unit. An amount of light by which the respective image signal for each of the bright frames is generated is larger than an amount of light by which the respective image signal for the dark frame is generated; and the offset subtraction unit obtains an offset and subtracts the offset from a signal.

METHOD AND CIRCUITRY FOR EXPOSURE COMPENSATION APPLIED TO HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE VIDEO
A method and a circuitry for exposure compensation applied to a high dynamic range video are provided. The circuitry is adapted to an image-acquisition device. In the method, when a video is received, the pixel values for each of the sequential frames can be obtained. Next, an exposure value ratio between two adjacent frames is obtained. A processor exposure value ratio of an image signal processor can be regarded as an initial exposure value ratio. A fixed adjustment ratio is used to control the image signal processor and an image sensor of the image-acquirement device so as to calculate an exposure value ratio for each of the frames. The exposure value ratio is referred to for performing the high dynamic range compensation for the frames so as to output an HDR video.
