A method of processing an image by an electronic device, includes: obtaining a label image of a label including at least one symbol associated with handling of clothing item; obtaining, from the label image, text information associated with the handling of the clothing item; identifying, from the label image, the at least one symbol associated with the handling of the clothing item, based on the text information and the label image; and obtaining handling information related to the clothing item based on the identified at least one symbol.

A method of processing an image by an electronic device, includes: obtaining a label image of a label including at least one symbol associated with handling of clothing item; obtaining, from the label image, text information associated with the handling of the clothing item; identifying, from the label image, the at least one symbol associated with the handling of the clothing item, based on the text information and the label image; and obtaining handling information related to the clothing item based on the identified at least one symbol.

Systems and methods of verifying pairings of price tag labels and products at a product storage facility include an image capture device that moves about and captures images of product storage structures at the product storage facility, and a database that stores inventory data associated with the products stocked at the product storage facility. A computing device processes the images to extract one or more characters from the price tag labels and products detected in the images, correlates the extracted characters to the inventory data to identify a product code and a product name that matches the characters extracted from the price tag labels and the products. If the characters extracted from the price tag and from the on-shelf product to which the price tag label is allocated match, the database is updated to reflect that the price tag label is properly allocated to the appropriate on-shelf product.

Systems and methods of verifying pairings of price tag labels and products at a product storage facility include an image capture device that moves about and captures images of product storage structures at the product storage facility, and a database that stores inventory data associated with the products stocked at the product storage facility. A computing device processes the images to extract one or more characters from the price tag labels and products detected in the images, correlates the extracted characters to the inventory data to identify a product code and a product name that matches the characters extracted from the price tag labels and the products. If the characters extracted from the price tag and from the on-shelf product to which the price tag label is allocated match, the database is updated to reflect that the price tag label is properly allocated to the appropriate on-shelf product.

A printer includes a printing device and a controller. The controller of the printer acquires image data and detects character data indicating a character from the acquired image data. Further, the controller adds a broken line along an outline of the character indicated by the detected character data. The controller generates a multivalued image with multiple values based on an image including the character with the broken line added, converts the generated multivalued image into two gray scales, and generates a binarized image. Further, the controller causes the printing device to perform printing based on the generated binarized image.

A printer includes a printing device and a controller. The controller of the printer acquires image data and detects character data indicating a character from the acquired image data. Further, the controller adds a broken line along an outline of the character indicated by the detected character data. The controller generates a multivalued image with multiple values based on an image including the character with the broken line added, converts the generated multivalued image into two gray scales, and generates a binarized image. Further, the controller causes the printing device to perform printing based on the generated binarized image.

An information processing apparatus according to the present disclosure acquires a translation text by executing a translation process on an input text; selects one or more consecutive characters in the translation text as a selection text, based on a user operation; assigns a label selected based on a user operation, to a character string corresponding to the selection text in the input text; and stores the input text to which the label has been assigned, in a storage unit.
