A method for detecting forgery in facial recognition is disclosed that comprises selecting (110) an illumination pattern including at least three illumination intensities; controlling (120) a light-emitting device (220) to emit light pulses, according to the illumination pattern; capturing (130) with a camera (210) a respective image of an eye region (15) of a face (10) during each emitted light pulse; determining (140) whether a glint (20) is present in the eye region (15) of each captured image; measuring (150) a glint intensity of each determined glint (20); extracting (160) a respective numerical feature for each captured image, the numerical feature representing a curve of all measured glint intensities at the glint intensity of the respective image; and outputting (180) a signal that the face (10) is forged, if one or more of the extracted numerical features does not correspond to a reference numerical feature. Furthermore, a computer-readable medium storing instructions to perform the method, and a vehicle (1) comprising a processor (250) capable of performing such method.
Face Authentication Anti-Spoofing Using Ultrasound
Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement face authentication anti-spoofing using ultrasound. In particular, a face-authentication system uses ultrasound to distinguish between a real human face and a presentation attack that uses instruments to present a version of a human face. The face-authentication system includes or communicates with an ultrasonic sensor, which can detect a presentation attack and notify the face-authentication system. In general, the ultrasonic sensor analyzes characteristics of a presented object and determines whether the object represents a human face or a presentation attack instrument. In this way, the ultrasonic sensor can prevent unauthorized actors from using the presentation attack to gain access to a user's account or information.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and information processing program
The accuracy of identity authentication is further improved. There is provided an information processing apparatus including a first determiner that determines whether a face of a user and an identity verification document are captured in a moving image at a same time, a second determiner that makes, when the first determiner determines that the face and the identity verification document are captured at the same time, a notification of an action instruction, and determines whether the user acts in accordance with the action instruction, and a verifier that verifies, when the second determiner determines that the user acts in accordance with the action instruction, that the identity verification document belongs to the user.
Method and apparatus with blur estimation
A processor-implemented method with blur estimation includes: acquiring size information of an input image; resizing the input image to generate a target image of a preset size; estimating a blur of the target image; and estimating a blur of the input image based on the size information of the input image.
Systems and methods for detecting liveness in captured image data
Systems for detecting liveness in image data may perform a process including receiving, from one or more image capture devices, two-dimensional image data representing two images captured simultaneously and depicting the same human person, including data representing light captured in two spectral bands, such as visible light and infrared light. The received image data may be converted to grayscale or downsampled prior to further processing. The process may include creating a two-dimensional combined image representation of the received image data and analyzing the combined image representation to detect any implied three-dimensional features using a neural network or machine learning. The process may include classifying the received image data as likely to depict a live person or a two-dimensional spoof of a live person, dependent on the analysis, and outputting a classification result indicating a likelihood that the received image data depicts a live person.
Bio-security system based on multi-spectral sensing
The present invention discloses system and method for fake face identification. The system is a multi-spectral sensing based bio-security system. The system uses CNN module along with thermal sensors to detect human face and also detects the human temperature. The system authenticates a human face and in case of temperature generates an alarm as an alert.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING A SPOOFING ATTEMPT
A first image is captured by the camera, using a first focus setting and a first aperture size. A first protrusion focus measure in a protrusion area of an object in the first image and a first recess focus measure in a recess area of the object in the first image are determined. A second image is captured by the camera, using the first focus setting and a second aperture size, and the object is detected. A second protrusion focus measure and a second recess focus measure are determined in the second image. A protrusion focus difference between the first and second protrusion focus measures, and a recess focus difference between the first and second recess focus measures are calculated. The protrusion focus difference and the recess focus difference are compared and if they differ by less than a predetermined threshold amount, it is determined that the object is fake.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, TERMINAL DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus according to some non-limiting embodiments includes: a detection unit that detects biometric information of a person from a captured image being input; a first determination unit that determines, based on the captured image, whether or not a condition for starting a determination process of whether or not the person is permitted to pass through a gate is satisfied; a matching unit that matches the biometric information with a registered biometric information in parallel with the process of the first determination unit; and a second determination unit that executes the determination process based on a determination result by the first determination unit and a matching result by the matching unit.
SPOOF DETECTION USING ILLUMINATION SEQUENCE RANDOMIZATION
Technology described herein includes a method that includes obtaining a set of color-coded sequences, each of which includes a sequence of colors. Each color-coded sequence has auto-correlation properties characterized by a merit factor larger than a first predetermined threshold, and cross-correlation properties among the color-coded sequences characterized by a demerit factor lower than a second predetermined threshold. A color-coded sequence is randomly selected from the set of color-coded sequences. A subject is illuminated in accordance with the sequence of colors in the selected color-coded sequence. A sequence of images of the subject are captured, and are temporally synchronized with illumination by the color-coded sequence. A filtered response image is generated from the sequence of images by a matched filtering process. Based on the filtered response image, it is determined that the subject is an alternative representation of a live person. In response, access to a secure system is prevented.
Two-factor authentication system
A physical access control (PAC) system configured to perform a two-factor authentication prior to granting access to a secure area. The PAC system includes an access point device configured to perform facial recognition on a person proximate to the access point device, and perform wireless handshake with a mobile device associated with the person prior to granting or denying entry to the secure area.
