CUSTOMER INFORMATION REGISTRATION APPARATUS
A customer information registration apparatus includes: a face data acquisition unit configured to acquire face data of a customer based on image data acquired by a camera of a shop, and temporarily store the acquired face data of the customer into a storage unit; an analysis unit configured to acquire ancillary information, which is information that does not identify an individual customer in a shooting site of the camera; a rejection information acquisition unit configured to acquire rejection information indicating that registration of the face data of the customer is not wanted; and a deletion unit configured to, in response to the rejection information acquired by the rejection information acquisition unit, delete the face data of the customer temporarily stored in the storage unit, and also delete information originating from the customer that is a deletion target from the ancillary information and update the ancillary information.
Graphic data alteration to enhance online privacy
A computer alters at least one recognizable metric or text in a digitally encoded photographic image by operating an alteration algorithm in response to user input data while preserving an overall aesthetic quality of the image and obscuring an identity of at least one individual or geographic location appearing in the image. An altered digitally-encoded photographic image prepared by the altering of the at least one recognizable metric or text in the image is stored in a computer memory. User feedback and/or automatic analysis may be performed to define parameter values of the alteration algorithm such that the alteration process achieves preservation of aesthetic qualities while obscuring an identity of interest.
AN APPARATUS, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR IDENTIFYING BIOMETRIC FEATURES
A method, apparatus and computer program, wherein the method comprises: illuminating a portion of skin of a user; detecting light scattered by the illuminated portion of skin and using the detected light to identify locations of biometric features within the illuminated portion of skin; and configuring a light source to selectively illuminate identified locations of biometric features.
SECURE, LOW-COST, PRIVACY-PRESERVING BIOMETRIC CARD
One example method includes generating a biometric of a user, requesting, and receiving, biometric data from a card, comparing the biometric data with the biometric, and when the biometric data matches data of the biometric, authorizing a transaction requested by a user using the card. The request for biometric data may identify what particular type of biometric data is compatible with the device making the request, and the biometric data may be a subset of the data that makes up the biometric.
Method and system for identification verification
A method for verifying a person's identity includes receiving a registration request from an electronic device, the request including identifying information associated with a presumed identity of a person and captured metadata indicative of a timing of user inputs entered to the electronic device by the person during a session associated with the request, querying one or more trusted databases to obtain background data item(s) associated with the presumed identity, receiving, from a biometric reader, biometric data item(s) captured from the person during the session, storing a data record associating the identifying information, captured metadata, background data item(s), and biometric data item(s), calculating a hash as a function of the identifying information, captured metadata, background data item(s), biometric data item(s), storing the hash in a block of a blockchain, deriving a score from the captured metadata and background data item(s), and generating an embeddable digital badge based on the score.
IRREVERSIBLE DIGITAL FINGERPRINTS FOR PRESERVING OBJECT SECURITY
Various techniques employ digital fingerprints, alone or in conjunction with other data related to a physical object, to characterize the physical object in a way allows an identity of the physical object to be confirmed or authenticated within a threshold of confidence when the physical object is encountered at a subsequently after a digital fingerprint thereof was previously ingested, without capture, retention and/or reference to certain types or categories of characterizing information which may be of a sensitive nature and/or subject to misuse or abuse. Such digital fingerprints may include feature vectors and non-positional characterization values, while advantageously omitting positional information that would otherwise allow recreation of a recognizable image of the physical object or an image from which one or more immutable characteristics or traits (e.g., physical appearance, color, race, ethnicity, gender, age) of the physical object may be discerned, and hence denominated as irreversible digital fingerprints.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MASKING BIOMETRIC INFORMATION IN IMAGES
A method of securing biometric information may involve obtaining a digital image that contains biometric information. The method may involve identifying at least one region of the digital image that contains the biometric information and masking the biometric information. The biometric information may be a user's fingerprint and the user's fingerprint may be sufficiently masked that the masked fingerprint would not be accepted as authentic by most or all biometric authentication systems as matching the original fingerprint.
MACHINE-LEARNING IMAGE RECOGNITION FOR CLASSIFYING CONDITIONS BASED ON VENTILATORY DATA
The technology relates to methods and systems for recognition of conditions from ventilation data. The methods may include acquiring ventilation data for ventilation of a patient during a time period; generating an image based on the acquired ventilation data; providing, as input into a trained machine learning model, the generated image, wherein the trained machine learning model was trained based on images having a same type as the generated image; and based on output from the trained machine learning model, generating a predicted condition of the patient. The image may be generated by storing ventilatory data as pixel channel values to generate a human-indecipherable image.
Biometric authentication
The present disclosure generally relates to methods for enrolling a user of an electronic device and authentication the user of the electronic device. The electronic device comprising a biometry sensor for acquiring sensing signals representative of a biometric feature, and a processor for computing a verification representation based on said sensing signals. The electronic device further includes a secure module isolated from said processor for computing an encrypted representation of said enrollment representation.
Methods and apparatus for facial recognition on a user device
An apparatus includes a memory of a user device and a processor of the user device. The processor is configured to capture an image using an image capture device of the user devices and broadcast a request signal within a range of the user device. The request signal is a request for facial data from compute devices within the range. The processor is configured to receive, in response to the request signal, facial data from each compute device from a set of compute devices within the range and perform, using the facial data received from each compute device from the set of compute devices, facial recognition on the image to identify a match between the facial data from a subset of compute devices from the set of compute devices and facial data from the image. The processor is configured to transmit the image to the subset of compute devices.
