The web server may include an orientation verification module and a facial recognition module. The method may include receiving at a database an identification card image and a picture image. The method may include verifying an orientation of the identification card image is oriented relative to an accepted orientation using the orientation verification module. The method may include, if the identification card image is not oriented relative to the accepted orientation, using the web server, iteratively rotating the identification card image in one or more increments and assessing if the identification card image is oriented at the accepted orientation until the identification card image is oriented at the accepted orientation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATION AND PAYMENT WHILE WEARING A FACE COVERING
The disclosure describes systems and methods for authenticating a consumer performing a digital wallet transaction while wearing a face covering. A consumer authentication system includes an electronic circuit device having a wireless transmitter chip associated with a unique identifier (UID). The system receives a transaction request message, and in response, transmits an authentication request message to the consumer. The system then receives an authentication response message from the consumer. The authentication response message includes a biometric sample of a select physical feature of the consumer. The system determines that the biometric sample matches the biometric profile of the consumer above a predetermined lower threshold and then reads a unique identifier (UID) from the electronic circuit device. The system determines whether the read unique identifier (UID) matches the unique identifier (UID) of the new consumer account.
VERIFICATION PROCESS OF AUTHENTICATION OR BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION
The invention proposes a method for processing biometric data, comprising verification of the result of a calculation of distance between a biometric candidate datum and at least one biometric reference datum, each comprising a number n of indexed components (a.sub.i, b.sub.i), said calculation of distance comprising that of a polynomial of the components of the biometric data,
the method being executed by a proving entity and a verification entity, the method comprising steps during which: the proving entity communicates to the verification entity the result of calculation of the distance between the candidate and reference biometric data, and said data, the proving entity generates from each datum a function of a number d of variables f.sub.a(i.sub.1, . . . , i.sub.d), f.sub.b(i.sub.1, . . . , i.sub.d) where d=log.sub.2 n, defined for each variable on the set {0,1}, by reformulation of the index i of each component (a.sub.i, b.sub.i) in binary format, the proving entity generates from each function a polynomial of d variables ã(x.sub.1, . . . x.sub.d), {circumflex over (b)} (x.sub.1, . . . x.sub.d) defined on .sup.d where
is a finite field, such that each polynomial ã, {circumflex over (b)} coincides with the corresponding function f.sub.a,f.sub.b on the set {0,1}.sup.d, and generates from the polynomials ã, {circumflex over (b)} a polynomial p(x.sub.1, . . . , x.sub.d) of d variables of the same expression as that of the distance between the data, and the proving entity and the verification entity engage in a Sumcheck protocol applied to the polynomial p to verify the result of calculation of the distance between the data.
FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, a fingerprint authentication system is provided, comprising: a transformation unit configured to transform a first format of a captured fingerprint into a second format of the captured fingerprint, wherein the first format defines coordinates of minutia positions and the second format defines relative positions of minutiae; and an authentication unit configured to compare the relative positions with stored reference values. According to a second aspect of the present disclosure, a corresponding fingerprint authentication method is conceived. According to a third aspect of the present disclosure, a corresponding computer program product is provided.
BIOMETRIC AUTHORISED SMARTCARD AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A BIOMETRIC AUTHORISED SMARTCARD
A biometric authorised smartcard 102 comprises: a biometric sensor 130; a control system 114, 128 for controlling operation of the smartcard 102; and a graphical user interface 18 for displaying alphanumeric information to a user of the smartcard 102. The smartcard 102 has one or more protected feature(s) that are accessible to a user identified via the biometric sensor 130 and the graphical user interface 18 displays information in response to interaction of the user with the biometric sensor 130. The information can be used to guide enrolment of a user via the biometric sensor 130 and/or to aid the interaction of the user with the biometric sensor 130 during biometric authorisation after enrolment.
Method of verification of a biometric authentication
A biometric data processing method implemented by a proof entity and a verification entity that are connected. The proof entity has a candidate biometric data, a reference biometric data, cryptographic footprints of the reference biometric data, and the candidate biometric data. The verification entity has a set of cryptographic footprints of reference biometric data of authorized users. The method includes generating the proof entity of a zero-knowledge proof of the fact that the candidate biometric data and the reference biometric data match. Transmitting to the verification entity the zero-knowledge proof of the cryptographic footprints of the candidate biometric data and the reference biometric data. Verifying that the zero-knowledge proof is valid, and the received cryptographic footprint of the reference biometric data belongs to the set of cryptographic footprints of reference biometric data in the possession of the verification entity.
DYNAMIC IDENTIFICATION BADGE
A presentation of visual information relates to an accurate identity of a person. Visible data corresponding to the identity is rendered upon a wearable badge associated uniquely with the person. The rendered visible data are augmented dynamically. The augmentation includes adding a conspicuous indication to the rendered visible data, in real time, that an authorized security credential corresponding to the person is exceeded in relation to a presence of the person in a particular location.
SECURE, LOW-COST, PRIVACY-PRESERVING BIOMETRIC CARD
One example method includes generating a biometric of a user, requesting, and receiving, biometric data from a card, comparing the biometric data with the biometric, and when the biometric data matches data of the biometric, authorizing a transaction requested by a user using the card. The request for biometric data may identify what particular type of biometric data is compatible with the device making the request, and the biometric data may be a subset of the data that makes up the biometric.

A user authentication system uses an information code such as a two-dimensional information code. The authentication system includes an authentication device, and the user is authenticated by combining the authentication device with a user's mobile terminal. In the mobile terminal, an authentication code in which facial feature points extracted from user's facial images are recorded is stored in the memory. In the authentication device, facial feature points are extracted from images of a human's face captured by an imaging unit, after being determined to be in a facial recognizable state, and the authentication code is displayed on the screen of the mobile terminal. The e facial feature points recorded in the authentication code are read from the captured images of the authentication code. The extracted facial feature points and the read facial feature points are subject to matching with each other in order to authenticate the user.
