SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMAGE PROCESSING
Systems and methods for image processing are provided. The method may include obtain an image sequence. The method may also include determine one or more sets of images from the image sequence, wherein each of the one or more sets of images includes one image or a plurality of consecutive images from the image sequence. The method may further include perform an image processing operation on at least one set of the one or more sets of images. The one or more image processing operation may include one or more of image segmentation, visualization, and image enhancement.
ENDOSCOPIC IMAGE LEARNING DEVICE, ENDOSCOPIC IMAGE LEARNING METHOD, ENDOSCOPIC IMAGE LEARNING PROGRAM, AND ENDOSCOPIC IMAGE RECOGNITION DEVICE
An object is to provide an endoscopic image learning device, an endoscopic image learning method, an endoscopic image learning program, and an endoscopic image recognition device that appropriately learn a learning model for image recognition for recognizing an endoscopic image in which a treatment tool for an endoscope appears.
The object is achieved by an endoscopic image learning device including an image generation unit and a machine learning unit. The image generation unit generates a superimposed image where a foreground image in which a treatment tool for an endoscope is extracted is superimposed on a background-endoscopic image serving as a background of the foreground image, and the machine learning unit performs the learning of a learning model for image recognition using the superimposed image.
INTRAVASCULAR IMAGING ASSESSMENT OF STENT DEPLOYMENT AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS
A system includes a processor circuit that receives intraluminal images of a body lumen. The processor circuit identifies a stent edge within the intraluminal images and calculates a distance between the stent edge and the vessel wall. The processor circuit additionally compares the distance between the stent edge and the vessel for the intraluminal images to a threshold distance and identifies which intraluminal images correspond to a distance exceeding the threshold. The processor circuit further outputs to a display a longitudinal view of the body lumen identifying locations along the stent at which the distance between the stent and the vessel wall exceeds the threshold distance.
Automatic estimation of positions of brachytherapy seeds
A system includes a memory, configured to store program instructions, and a processor. The processor is configured to load the program instructions from the memory, and by executing the program instructions, to process a three-dimensional image of a portion of a body of a subject in which multiple brachytherapy to identify clusters of voxels of the image corresponding to the seed groups, respectively, to compute respective estimated positions of the brachytherapy seeds based on respective dimensions of each of the clusters, and to store or communicate the estimated positions for use in computing an effective dose of the brachytherapy seeds. Other embodiments are also described.
AR/VR/XR assistance
A reality system includes a display aimed at a retina, the display providing 3D images with different depth view points; a glass to selectably turn on or off view of an outside environment in front of the person's eye; a processor coupled to the camera and to the glass to selectably switch between augmented reality and virtual reality; and a wireless transceiver coupled to the transceiver to communicate with a remote processor.
ASSISTANCE DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING IMAGING SUPPORT TO AN OPERATING SURGEON DURING A SURGICAL PROCEDURE INVOLVING AT LEAST ONE MEDICAL INSTRUMENT
Described is an assistance device for providing imaging support to an operating surgeon during a surgical procedure involving at least one medical instrument. The assistance device comprises a camera, a display unit, a manipulator coupled to the camera, a manipulator controller and an image processing unit. The image processing unit includes an instrument detection module for detecting at least one target structure that represents the instrument being used in the frame in question by identifying a predetermined distinguishing feature, and for extracting position information that indicates the position of the target structure in the frame. The instrument detection module identifies an image segment as the predetermined distinguishing feature, said image segment being characterized by a color saturation that is equal to or less than a predefined color saturation and by a contour line that delimits the image segment and has at least one rectilinear section.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF UTILIZING COMPUTER-AIDED IDENTIFICATION WITH MEDICAL PROCEDURES
The disclosure provides a system that may receive an identification of a first patient; may receive a first template that includes first multiple locations associated with a face of the first patient and associated with the identification of the first patient; may determine second multiple locations associated with a face of a current patient; may determine a second template of the face of the current patient based at least on the second multiple locations associated with the face of the current patient; may determine if the first template matches the second template; if the first template matches the second template, may provide an indication that the current patient has been correctly identified as the first patient; and if the first template does not match the second template, may provide an indication that the current patient has not been identified.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Provided are an image processing apparatus, method, and program that can appropriately support a treatment using an instrument. An image processing apparatus for processing an image captured with an endoscope having a distal end from which an instrument is protrudable includes a processor. The processor is configured to perform a process of acquiring an image captured with the endoscope, a process of causing a display to display the acquired image, a process of detecting a region of interest from the acquired image, a process of determining whether the region of interest is present at a position reachable by the instrument protruded from the distal end of the endoscope, and a process of providing a notification in a case where it is determined that the region of interest is present at a position reachable by the instrument protruded from the distal end of the endoscope.
REARRANGING AND SELECTING FRAMES OF MEDICAL VIDEOS
Disclosed are processes including receiving at least a first and a second image data record corresponding to a first and a second point in time and including a first and a second one or more images of a wound; obtaining an image of the wound from a particular point of view corresponding to the first point in time by analyzing the first image data record; generating a simulated image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the second point in time by analyzing the second image data record; and generating a visual time series view of the wound including at least the image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the first point in time and the simulated image of the wound from the particular point of view corresponding to the second point in time.
Automatic identification of instruments
A system and apparatus is disclosed to automatically determine the identification and selected information relating to instruments. The identification information may be read or determined by various reader systems and then transferred for various purposes. The identification information may be stored on the instrument with a storage system or printing and/or recalled from a memory once the identification is made.
