Time-bound secure access

Described herein is a system and remote server that may enable a user device to gain access to a secure physical area or physical resource. The remote server may generate, store, and send a first access token to a user device in response to a request to access the physical area or physical resource. The remote server can receive an authentication request from a universal access control device at the location of the physical area or physical resource. The authentication request can contain a second access token and location information of the user device. The remote server can verify the second access token by comparing it to the stored first access token and location information about the access control device. Upon authentication and verification, the user device may gain entry to the secure area.

There are provided a reader that receives one or more identifiers transmitted by one or more wireless tags of one or more users entering a wireless area located outside one end of a longitudinal direction of a gate; an acquisition part that acquires a facial feature value registered in association with each identifier received from each wireless tag; an imaging part that captures image of the user; an extraction part that extracts a facial feature value from image data generated by the imaging part; and a face collation part that receives the facial feature value extracted by the extraction part and checks whether or not the facial feature value match one or more facial feature values acquired by the acquisition part.

BIOMETRIC EXIT WITH AN ASSET
20220237969 · 2022-07-28 ·

A biometric exit system controls exit of a person from an area with an asset. The system obtains a digital representation of a biometric for the person. The system receives an identification of the person using the digital representation of the biometric. Using the identification, the system receives permissions regarding whether or not the person may exit the area with the asset. If the person is permitted, the system allows the person to exit. Upon allowing exit, the system may transmit a message to the person. The message may include a confirmation of a transaction and/or one or more offers to which the person can respond.

In-vehicle intelligent access control system and method

An in-vehicle intelligent access control system and method are configured to automate access of a vehicle to an access point. Prior to approach of the vehicle to the access point, an enrollment system stores, in a database, first data identifying a non-human object in a vehicle, second data identifying the vehicle, third data identifying a human occupant of the vehicle, and fourth data identifying an itinerary of the vehicle. An access control management system receives at least the first data from the database. When the vehicle approaches the access point, the system detects the vehicle within a predetermined range of an access point, receives fifth data transmitted by the vehicle, determines a match of the fifth data with at least the first data within a prescribed tolerance, and controls the access point to allow access of the vehicle to a facility if the fifth data matches at least the first data.

Vehicular access security system

An access point barrier system having a barrier that extends in such a way as to be movable between an enabled position and a non-enabled position preventing a vehicle from crossing the access point is provided. The image-capture device is integrated to the arm of the barrier and a computing device coupled to a database of registered vehicles, wherein the computing device is adapted to establish a match between the vehicle adjacent the barrier against the database of registered vehicles based on in part at least one image captured by the image-capture device so that an established match moves the barrier to the enabled position.

SHORT RANGE WIRELESS TRANSLATION METHODS AND SYSTEMS FORHANDS-FREE FARE VALIDATION

A system and method in which the Bluetooth technology is used in conjunction with a user application on a mobile device to facilitate hands-free fare validation at a transit station. The user app communicates with a controller driver in a controller unit that interfaces with a compliant fare gate. Bluetooth beacons are used to determine a passenger's proximity to the gate and camera-like devices determine whether a passenger has entered a fare validation zone. A user with a valid and active electronic ticket on their mobile device may simply walk through the fare gate “hands free” without the need to search for a physical ticket or a smartcard or a mobile phone. This hassle-free approach significantly improves the user experience and passenger throughput through fare gates. The Bluetooth-based automated fare validation system also detects passengers with valid electronic tickets and those without a valid permit for travel.
