Automatic guarantee delivery tracking and reporting for United States Postal Service postage refunds for paid computer-based postage
Various exemplary embodiments of the present invention will provide methods and systems for automatic tracking and reporting of refunds for parcels for which the United States Postage Service (the “USPS”) fails to provide delivery to the designated delivery address by a guaranteed delivery date. Various embodiments of the present invention will automatically detect a parcel for which a delivery date has been guaranteed, but for which the USPS failed to make delivery by the guaranteed delivery date. For such guaranteed delivery failures, various embodiments of the present invention will display an online report to the user, or will send an electronic report of the failure, such as by electronic mail (“email”), to the user that printed the corresponding USPS Express Mail postage, or will otherwise notify the user of, or make available to the user information regarding, such failures. Various embodiments of the present invention will automatically and periodically analyze electronic and/or digital scanning events provided by the USPS regarding postage printed by users that used the subject Internet postage provider to print Express Mail Postage with a corresponding USPS Express Mail Label Number. Various embodiments of the present invention will automatically and periodically analyze such electronic and/or digital scanning events in order to determine whether a scanned tracking event indicates a delivery corresponding to postage printed by a user using the subject Internet postage provider and in order, then, to determine whether the actual delivery date and/or time, if delivered, exceeds the guaranteed delivery and/or time.
ASSEMBLIES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR FRANKING ONE OR MORE SEQUENTIAL MAILPIECE ON A HIGH SPEED MAIL SORTER
Assemblies, systems, and methods for applying postage indicia to one or more sequential mailpiece on a high speed mail sorter are disclosed. In some aspects, a system for franking one or more sequential mailpiece using a postal security device (PSD) hub assembly on a high speed mail sorter includes a plurality of PSDs configured to generate a coded digital signature for the one or more sequential mailpiece during a latency period, a plurality of photo sensors configured to define the latency period, a PSD host configured to receive the generated coded digital signature, wherein the generated coded digital signature is encoded in a data matrix, and an indicia printer configured to receive printer control data and to print the printer control data on the one or more sequential mailpiece in an order in which the plurality of PSDs are tasked during the latency period.
Shipping interface for a user interface
Systems and methods which provide a shipping interface within a user interface are shown. A shipping interface of embodiments is provided within a open architecture or multiple application user interface, such as a browser user interface. A user may be enabled to use a same shipping account with respect to any number of applications or functions. Moreover, a user may be enabled to select a shipping provider of preference, even where the underlying application or function does not support the selected shipping provider or any shipping functions. Embodiments provide comparison of various shipping providers to a user for selection. Embodiments comprise a browser plug-in operable to provide a shipping interface, such a by inserting one or more shipping buttons within a page displayed by the browser, within a popup window, within a frame along the main browser window, within a browser menu bar, tool tray, etcetera.
System and Method for Generating Postage
A postage generating system and method that allows for the generation of postage without the use of a PSD, while still maintaining the necessary data integrity and non-repudiation aspects. The cryptographic and accounting functions are performed separately when an indicium is generated and reconciled to ensure that every transaction is properly accounted for and funds are deducted from the user's account. The cryptographic functions for an indicium are performed utilizing a cloud-based Hardware Security Module (HSM). Transaction records for indicium generated by an HSM are stored in a database. The accounting is performed by a transaction server, separate and remote from the HSM, to make updates to the client's account to account for generated indicia. An Integrity Monitor Server monitors the consistency of the transactions, i.e., that every transaction performed by an HSM is properly accounted for by the transaction server and funds are deducted from the user's account.
Digital stamps
The present disclosure provides methods and systems for the collection and delivery of physical items. Implementations consistent with the present disclosure provide a method including receiving, by a user interface device, a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information. The method also includes receiving, by the user interface device, a destination address from the user. The method also includes providing, by the user interface device, the delivery fee for the item. The method also includes generating the digital stamp using the destination address received from the user, the delivery fee for the item, and user account information. The method also includes collecting the item, wherein the item lacks any physical indicia that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid.
DIGITAL STAMPS
Systems, methods, interface devices, and media for the delivery of physical items using a digital stamp. Various implementations include operations such as receiving a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information and lacks any physical indicator that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid; receiving a destination address from the user; presenting a delivery fee for the item; and causing the generation of a digital stamp using the destination address and the delivery fee, which may be correlated with the item.
DIGITAL STAMPS
Systems, methods, and media for the delivery of physical items using a digital stamp. Various implementations include operations such as receiving a request from a user to deliver an item to a destination using a digital stamp, wherein the item includes destination information and lacks any physical indicator that the delivery fee for the item has been paid or will be paid; receiving a destination address from the user; determining a delivery fee for the item; and generating a digital stamp using the destination address, the delivery fee, and user account information for the user. The operations may also include obtaining an image of the item including the destination information; determining, from the image, that the item lacks any physical indicator regarding the delivery fee; checking for a digital stamp corresponding to the item; and directing the item for delivery to the destination information, if the digital stamp is found.
System and method for reducing delay related to postage indicia dispensing
In certain embodiments, reduction of delay related to postage indicia dispensing may be facilitated. In some embodiments, a postage distributor system may retrieve indicia data representing postage indicia from a postage provider system associated with a postage provider. The postage distributor system may store the indicia data representing the postage indicia at a storage system of the postage distributor system. The postage distributor system may receive, via a user device, a request to purchase one or more indicia subsequent to the storage of the indicia data representing the postage indicia at the storage system. The postage distributor system may provide indicia data representing the requested indicia to the user device from the indicia data representing the postage indicia. In some embodiments, the postage distributor system's receipt of the request and providing of the indicia data representing the requested indicia occur during a downtime period of the postage provider system.
