Brewing Arrangement and Portable Coffee Machine
A brewing arrangement and a portable coffee machine, the portable coffee machine includes a main body, a coffee receiving cup, and a brewing arrangement including a brewing assembly having a brewing chamber, and a powder pressing assembly for pressing coffee powder in the brewing chamber, wherein after the coffee powder in the brewing chamber is pressed by the powder presser, the powder pressing assembly is detached from the brewing assembly, and the brewing assembly is then assembled between the main body and the coffee receiving cup, so as to allow boiled water in the main body to be pumped into the brewing assembly to brew the coffer powder, so as to provide liquid coffee product which is collected by the coffee receiving cup under the brewing assembly.
FILTER CUP AND GRINDER
A filter cup (100) holds ground coffee within a portafilter for attachment to an espresso machine to extract a dose of coffee. The filter cup (100) has a body (102) including a floor (104) with a plurality of perforations (106), a sidewall (108) extending upwardly from the floor (104) to a rim (110) to define a cavity for holding the ground coffee, and a magnet (114) attached to the body (102) for producing a magnetic field.
Removal of coffee grounds from a portafilter
An apparatus for use in cleaning a portafilter includes a portafilter receiver with a central opening. A landing area extends over at least a portion of the central opening. Spent grounds fall through a hole in the landing area when an inverted portafilter is positioned over the landing area during the cleaning process. Left and right retention members are spaced vertically above the landing area and portafilter receiving slots are defined between the retention members and the landing area. The receiving slots securely hold the portafilter above the landing area and center the cup portion of the portafilter over the hole. A receiving box is mounted below the portafilter receiver and receives the spent coffee grounds. A steam tube mounted to the receiving box connects to a pressurized steam supply and, when activated, directs pressurized steam through the hole of the landing area and into the cup portion of the inverted portafilter.
EXTRACTION FILTER BASKET
A filter basket for a beverage machine includes a sidewall and a strainer portion. The filter basket forms a brew chamber into which ground coffee or other products are added. The brew chamber is defined by a sidewall, a strainer surface, and a smooth contour between the tapered sidewall and the strainer surface. The brew chamber is defined by smooth lines to create better fluid flow through the extraction process. A plurality of apertures are formed in the strainer surface to filter out large particles while allowing brewed beverage to flow therethrough. The tapered sidewalls in combination with the strainer surface, the smooth contour, and the unique pozzetto shape, result in a pressure profile and fluid flow characteristics that reduce the tendency of channeling through the ground coffee and result in a more consistent and uniform extraction.
FILTER FOR A FILTER HOLDER CUP OF A COFFEE MACHINE
A filter (6, 13) for a filter holder cup (2) of a coffee machine, including a cup body (6) having a bottom wall (7) provided with a dispensing hole (8) for dispensing infused coffee and a side wall (9) that bounds a compartment (10) with the bottom wall (7), inside the compartment (10) a separating filtering wall (13) being further positioned between an upper housing chamber (14) housing coffee powder and a lower dispensing chamber (15) for dispensing the infused coffee including said dispensing hole (8), inside said dispensing chamber (15) a filtering element (17) is provided to protect said dispensing hole (8).
DEVICE FOR PREPARING COFFEE
A device for preparing coffee by manual brewing includes: a filter holder for receiving a filter insert with ground coffee; a holder in which the filter holder is inserted; a vessel arranged under the filter holder into which the brewed coffee can be filled; a drain arranged on the filter holder; and a closure element arranged on the drain for opening and closing the drain. An actuating element for the closure element is provided on the filter holder by which the closure element can be moved between an open position and a closed position independently of the vessel.
COLD BREW COFFEE APPARATUS
A brewing apparatus including a group head and a portafilter shaped to engage the group head such that the group head forms a seal on the portafilter when the portafilter is in a locked position within the group head. The brewing apparatus further including a first vessel in fluid communication with the group head and a second vessel in fluid communication with the group head. The brewing apparatus also includes a vacuum pump configured to pump fluid from the first vessel through the group head and the portafilter and into the second vessel.
Adjustable portafilter and grind adjustment
A portafilter apparatus for an espresso machine, the apparatus comprising: a metal head that is attachable to a group head of the espresso machine, the head defines a coffee grounds compartment for containing a quantity of ground coffee; and a perforated movable floor within the head; the floor forms a filter and defines the base of the coffee grounds compartment, the floor is vertically movable with respect to the head to adjust a volume of the coffee grounds compartment.
METHOD FOR DISPENSING DOSES OF COFFEE GROUNDS
A method of controlling dispensing of doses of coffee grounds, the machine comprising a grinding device which is configured to grind coffee beans, a conduit, having an inlet in communication with the grinding device for receiving coffee grounds, and an outlet, a closure member which is adapted to be removed between an open position for the coffee grounds to be discharged from the conduit through the outlet, and a closed position for closing the outlet, and a coffee grounds weight sensor, which is configured to generate signals representative of the weight of coffee grounds built-up in the dispensing conduit when the closure member is in the closed position.
WATER BOILERS FOR DISPENSING UNITS OF ESPRESSO COFFEE MACHINES
A water boiler for dispensing units of espresso coffee machines. It is composed of a first hollow body (2) having an upper end (12) and a lower end (3), in which conventional means are placed for attaching and detaching a portafilter (4), the latter being operable via a handle (5).
The boiler comprises a second hollow body (11) sealingly connected to the upper end (12) of the first body (2), and an electric heating serpentine resistor (13) accommodated in the cavities (9, 10) formed by the two hollow bodies (2, 11). A bottom wall (16) adjacent to the lower end (3) of the first body (2) has a plurality of ducts (22, 23, 24, 25, 29) which are part of the hydraulic circuit of the dispenser unit for supplying the beverage-forming hot water to the dose of pressed coffee contained in the filter.
The boiler includes a tubular element (19), having a predetermined volume capacity, inserted in at least one (25) of the plurality of ducts that are part of said hydraulic circuit for supplying hot water to the dose of coffee. This tubular element acts as a pre-infusion chamber for the dose of coffee and is removably mounted in said bottom wall (16) of said first body (2), to be able to be replaced with another one having a different capacity.
