The present invention relates to a device for time measurement of a sporting movement of a person, wherein the device comprises a housing and a proximity sensor. According to the invention, the proximity sensor is formed to emit a signal for detection of the movement and to receive a reflection of the signal at the person for time measurement. To this end, the proximity sensor is arranged in the housing in such a manner that the movement in a longitudinal direction and at least in another direction can be detected.

SYSTEM FOR JUDGING OR DETERMINING POSITION ON A CROSSING LINE OF A SPORTING COMPETITION, AND METHOD FOR ACTIVATING SAME

A system for judging or determining position or posture, and/or a time on a line crossed by at least one competitor or racer in a sporting competition, includes at least an apparatus for taking a photograph when an intermediate line or a finishing line of the competition is crossed, the image of the photofinish type taken defining an input of the system, and a processing unit connected to the photographic apparatus to combine the photofinish image received with a processing of an algorithm using artificial intelligence for automatically placing one or more cursors on the photofinish image.

METHOD FOR TIMING A SPORTS COMPETITION IN DIFFERENT SITES
20220001239 · 2022-01-06 · ·

A timing method for a sports competition at the same time on different sites (4) around the world. In a first phase, all time bases of the timing devices, of a start coordinator device (3) and of each site are synchronised. Next, a measurement of the transmission times between the start coordinator device and each site is performed to determine a maximum transmission time. The start coordinator device establishes a start time equal to the time of the date of each site and while adding a time difference longer than the determined maximum transmission time. The start time is adapted to each site where the competition takes place to automatically order, by each timing device, the start of the competition at the same time on each site and on the base site of the start coordinator device to have a sports competition taking place live on all competition sites.

Stopwatch and timer user interfaces

An electronic device may display a first lap time representation, and may move the first lap time representation in accordance with a first amount of elapsed time. While moving the first lap time representation, the electronic device may detect a lap input. In response to the lap input, the electronic device may cease movement of the first lap time representation, display a second lap time representation, and move the second lap time representation in accordance with a second amount of elapsed time. A relative positioning of the first lap time representation and the second lap time representation may correspond to a difference between a first lap time and a second lap time. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update the timescales of lap time representation(s) in accordance with a rotational input. In some embodiments, the electronic device may update a timer duration setting in accordance with a rotational input.
