Device (1) for installing/removing a seal (12) for an injection group of a coffee machine, comprising a body (2) which is elongate along a longitudinal axis (XX′), a handle (3) for gripping the body (2) and two rows of lugs (4), one of which is arranged at one end and the other of which is arranged at the other end of the elongate body (2). Each lug (4) of a row, which is radial relative to the body (2), is arranged around the body (2) on a centre circle which passes through the longitudinal axis (XX′) of the body (2), and each lug (4) of a row has a face (41) which is called the internal face and which is directed towards the lugs (4) of the other row and which forms a helical ramp (5) which is inclined to allow, in the positioned state of the ramps (5) of a row of lugs (4) in bearing contact with inclined surfaces forming ramps with complementary shapes, and, in the state in which the body (2) is rotated about its longitudinal axis (XX′), axial displacement of the body (2). One of the ends (6), which is called the seal installing end, of the body (2) is provided with a rotating plate (7) for receiving a seal (12) to be installed. The opposite end of the body (2) is provided with anchoring members (9) which project from the aforementioned end (8).

The present invention refers to systems and process associated with beverage preparation based upon the extraction of a single portion (1) of a pre-measured quantity of precursor substance in a brewing apparatus (4), whereby said single portion (1) presents a compostable confinement (2) and can be collected inside of a portion holder (3) that is adapted so that can be retained inside a cavity of said brewing apparatus (4). In particular, the present invention relates addresses the problem of ensuring effective and reliable operation of a single portion (1) in the portion holder (3).

A first coffee brewing and dispensing system that includes a removable grounds chamber assembly that includes a basin for holding ground coffee, an extendable dispensing spout, and a valve mechanism for opening and closing the dispensing spout; a brewing chamber assembly positioned on top of the removable grounds chamber assembly; and a lid/plunger assembly adapted to be inserted into the brewing chamber and removable grounds chamber, wherein the lid/plunger assembly includes a press rod, a handle mounted on the press rod, wherein the handle includes a trigger mounted therein, a lid mounted on the press rod below the handle, a wiper assembly mounted on the press rod below the lid; and a filter assembly mounted on the press rod below the wiper assembly, wherein the wiper assembly may be moved independently of the filter assembly by actuating the trigger in the handle.

The filter (6, 13) for a filter holder cup (2) of a coffee machine, including a cup body (6) having a bottom wall (7) provided with a dispensing hole (8) for dispensing infused coffee and a side wall (9) that bounds a compartment (10) with the bottom wall (7), inside the compartment (10) a separating filtering wall (13) being further positioned between an upper housing chamber (14) housing coffee powder and a lower dispensing chamber (15) for dispensing the infused coffee including said dispensing hole (8), inside said dispensing chamber (15) a filtering element (17) is provided to protect said dispensing hole (8).

A system for preparing a brewed beverage from at least one flavorant includes a housing, a receptacle connectable to the housing for holding the at least one flavorant and a reservoir connectable to the housing. The receptacle including a first fluid inlet and a second fluid inlet and a first fluid flow path fluidly connects the reservoir to the first fluid inlet and a second fluid flow path fluidly connects the reservoir to the second fluid inlet.

System for preparing a potable beverage, including a capsule, a first beverage preparation device and a second beverage preparation device, each arranged for receiving the capsule. The capsule including a sealing member at the outwardly extending flange for providing a fluid sealing contact with the first enclosing member if the capsule is used in the first beverage preparation device. The invention relates to a system for preparing a beverage from a capsule using a fluid supplied under pressure into the capsule comprising a beverage preparation device having an enclosing member with an annular element having a free contact end and a capsule containing a substance for the preparation of a beverage. The capsule comprises a sealing member having the shape of a step. i.e. a sudden increase of the diameter of a side wall of the capsule. The sealing member comprises a floor portion extending over an engagement distance and a side wall portion extending in a direction away from the floor portion. The engagement distance of the floor portion is such that the floor portion engages the free contact end of the annular element over its breadth if the capsule is positioned in the enclosing member of the beverage preparation device and the enclosing member is moved relative towards a capsule holder of the beverage preparation device. The floor portion is arranged to be plastically drawn over the free contact end of the annular element if the enclosing member of the beverage preparation device is closed by means of the capsule holder of the beverage preparation device. The invention also relates to a capsule for use in such a system.

Presented is an automatic portafilter clamping device for clamping a portafilter to a coffee machine. The automatic portafilter clamping device includes a support ring connected to the group head assembly of the coffee machine, and a compression ring configured to rotate relative to the support ring. The compression ring could be rotated relative to the support ring to bring the compression ring in either a locked position or an unlocked position. A rotation assembly is configured to rotate the compression ring relative to the support ring. The automatic portafilter clamping device effectively and efficiently seals a portafilter against the group head gasket with minimal friction related wear.
