Method and system for providing access control
Techniques for providing access control are disclosed. The techniques include: receiving, by an access control system, point cloud data associated with a field of view of a sensor; based on the point cloud data, determining that an object is entering a physical zone of interest in the field of view; and determining, by the access control system, an access control result indicating that the object is authorized to access the physical zone of interest or is not authorized to access the physical zone of interest.
TRANSMITTER FOR TRANSMITTING A SECURE ACCESS SIGNAL
A transmitter for transmitting a secure access signal to a system for providing secure access to a controlled item is disclosed. The access is dependent on information contained in the secure access signal. The transmitter comprises a biometric sensor for receiving a biometric signal and a processor for matching the biometric signal against members of a database of biometric signatures. The transmitter comprises enabling means for enabling an inductive circuit, based on the matching of the biometric signal, to transmit the secure access signal conveying the information to the system upon the inductive circuit being placed within range of a radio frequency field emitted by the system.
LOCK
A lock, in particular for an electric bicycle, includes a locking mechanism that has a latch that is movable between a latched position, which is provided for securing a counter-piece movable relative to the locking mechanism, and an unlatched position provided for releasing the counter-piece. The lock includes a blocking device, including a blocking element that is adjustable between a blocking position, in which the latch is blocked in its latched position, and a release position in which the latch is movable into its unlatched position, and a reception unit for receiving a release signal by which the adjustment of the blocking element into the release position can be brought about. A locking system may include at least one such lock.
ANTI-THEFT DEVICE
The invention relates to an anti-theft device comprising a housing, which is configured to be displaceably mounted to an anti-theft box, which anti-theft box is configured to receive merchandise to be protected, the housing being further configured to selectively take a releasing position, in which the anti-theft box is transferable from a closed state into an opened state, and a locking position, in which the anti-theft box is not transferable from the closed state into the opened state, a locking mechanism associated with the housing and having an unlocked state, in which the housing is displaceable from the locking position into the releasing position, and a locked state, in which the housing is not displaceable from the locking position into the releasing position.
WIRELESS LOCKSET WITH INTEGRATED ANGLE OF ARRIVAL (AOA) DETECTION
A lockset with a latch assembly having a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The lockset includes a motor configured to move the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. A controller is provided that is configured to electronically control the motor to control movement of the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position responsive to receiving a valid authentication from an authentication device. The lockset includes a receiver connected to an antenna to detect an incoming wireless signal transmitted from an authentication device. The controller includes an angle of arrival sensor configured to determine a distance and a direction to the authentication device by analyzing a wireless phase and timing of the incoming wireless signal transmitted by the authentication device. The controller is configured to control movement of the bolt between the extended and retracted positions based, at least in part, on the distance and the direction to the authentication device.
MATCHING AN USER TAKEN IMAGE WITH ACCESS CONTROL APPARATUS REFERENCES FOR PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL
It is provided a method for enabling access control for access to a physical space secured by a lock device. The method is performed in a security device and comprises the steps of: obtaining at least one image captured using a first camera of a portable key device, the at least one image being captured in a vicinity of the lock device; receiving a template decryption key from a lock device over a short-range communication link; obtaining a credential associated with the lock device; matching the at least one image with a plurality of templates, each template being associated with a lock device, which comprises obtaining the plurality of templates by decrypting encrypted templates using the template decryption key; and wherein a positive match is a necessary condition for opening the lock device.
POSITION KEYED LOCKBOX
A position keyed lockbox is unlocked by geographical location data or other positional data and includes an enclosure, a locking mechanism, and a control system. The control system unlocks the lockbox when the lockbox is taken to a location that matches a pre-selected location stored in the memory.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING CACHE BOARDS OF AN ENTERPRISE NETWORK DATA STORAGE SYSTEM
A system and method for securing data storage devices in an information technology (IT) network storage system is provided. The security system comprises a security control computer and electronic locks, which are mounted in a data center cabinet to slots for holding respective data storage devices. The security protocol implemented by the control computer requires an authorized administrator to execute a lock/unlock command identifying a particular device, and to provide a first part of a combination key. Additionally, an on-site hardware engineer is required to input a second part of the key at a terminal on-site at the data center. Upon verification of the first key, and then the second key, the control computer unlocks or locks the appropriate electronic lock. The control computer also implements a data backup/flushing process prior to allowing removal of an online cache board to avoid data corruption, loss, or system interruption.
ACCESS CONTROL ARRANGEMENT, READING MODULE AND ACCESS CONTROL METHOD
Access control arrangement having a reading module and at least one mobile terminal, wherein the mobile terminal comprises a coupling interface and the reading module comprises a mating interface, wherein the interface and the mating interface are configured to wirelessly connect the reading module and the mobile terminal, wherein the mobile terminal is configured to transmit an authorization notification to the reading module via the wireless connection, having a control module, wherein the control module is connected to the reading module using data technology and is configured to grant or deny access on the basis of the authorization notification transmitted to the reading module, wherein the reading module forms an active reading module for initiating the wireless connection, wherein the mobile terminal forms a peripheral device for the wireless connection.
Fuel dispenser door lock and alarm control
In general, a smart door alarm and locking mechanism and methods for use thereof are provided for maintaining security while providing ease of access to a fuel dispenser. In an exemplary embodiment, the methods and devices are used in fuel dispensing devices for providing fuel to a vehicle. However, the methods and devices can be utilized in any device having a payment system where security and access are both required. In some embodiments, the described methods and systems include a door alarm and door lock kit that allow unlocking one or more doors in a housing of a fuel dispenser and simultaneously disabling or de-activating respective door alarm sensor(s). In a similar manner, the door can be locked and the door alarm sensor activated or re-activated substantially simultaneously.
