POWER AND COMMUNICATION ARRANGEMENTS FOR AN ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
20230119347 · 2023-04-20 ·

An access control system includes an electrically powered access control device for locking and unlocking a barrier, and an access controller coupled to the access control device. A Power over Ethernet (PoE) circuit receives power over an Ethernet cable and powers the access control device and the access controller. An active power supply buffer connects the access control device and the access controller with the PoE circuit.

DEPOSIT LOCK SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DEPOSIT LOCK SYSTEM FOR A LOAN OBJECT
20230123206 · 2023-04-20 ·

A method for operating a deposit-operated lock system for a borrowed object, in particular for a transport trolley which can be moved by hand. There is also described a suitable deposit-operated lock system. A key that is held in a deposit lock is released when an electric drive drives a carriage that is displaceably mounted on a blocking element in an initial position.

SECURE TRANSPORT CONTAINER

An apparatus includes a controller configured to initiate attachment of a first locking bar of a transport container to a first anchor point of a structure by adjusting the first locking bar from a first unlocked state to a first locked state. The controller is also configured to confirm a locking of the first locking bar to the first anchor point. The controller is further configured to, in response to confirming the locking, initiate a release of a second locking bar of the transport container from a second anchor point by adjusting the second locking bar from a second locked state to a second unlocked state.

MOBILE DIGITAL LOCKING TECHNOLOGY

The invention relates to methods and systems where a mobile phone is used to open doors of buildings and vehicles instead of a dedicated physical key. In the invention, the mobile station is configured to provide the operating power to the lock without a power chord. A mobile station app is then configured to communicate with the lock via a short-range wireless communication connection, and open and close the lock. The object of the invention is to provide an electronic software-based key and lock system that is cheaper and easier to use than the physical key.

ELECTROSTATIC INPUT DEVICE AND DOOR HANDLE SENSOR SYSTEM

In a door handle sensor system, a door handle device includes an electrostatic sensor to detect the user with respect to a door handle, and a pressure sensor to detect the operating force applied to the door handle. A control device determines whether the position of an operation is in a first end section, a second end section, or a center section of the door handle, and controls an unlatched state based on the determination result and the value detected by the pressure sensor. The electrostatic sensor includes a first electrode including multiple first electrode parts and a second electrode including multiple second electrode parts arranged alternately with the first electrode parts. The first electrode part other than the endmost first electrode part in the first direction and the second electrode part other than the endmost second electrode part in the first direction are arranged in the center section.

LOCK
20220327874 · 2022-10-13 ·

A lock comprising a housing, a plunger, a locking member, a locking plate, and a control assembly. The housing having an internal cavity, a recess, and a bore. The plunger is disposed in the bore and is slidable between a closed position wherein a second end of the plunger is positioned in the internal cavity and an intermediate portion of the plunger extends across the recess, and an open position wherein the plunger is withdrawn from the internal cavity and the recess. The locking member is movable between a locking position wherein the locking member is engaged with the plunger and an unlocking position wherein the locking member is disengaged therefrom. The control assembly operates the locking plate between a lock position to hold the locking member in the locking position and an unlock position to permit the plunger to move from the closed position to the open position.

High security two-way virtual cross-barrier observation and communication device
11632523 · 2023-04-18 ·

A high security two-way virtual cross-barrier observation and communication device has a mounting frame with a hardened core, a pair of digital displays, and a pair of cameras. The mounting frame may correspond to a typical interior door of a building or a relevant component of a vehicle, aircraft, or other relevant application. The hardened core is bullet-resistant and fire-resistant to protect occupants of a protected space from harm. The digital displays and cameras are positioned on opposing sides of the mounting frame, each camera transmitting a live video feed to the opposing display, creating the appearance of a window while protecting occupants. The digital displays may be used to display any desired information. An emergency protocol may be activated to communicate with emergency services. A plurality of laminate layers bond and encapsulate the displays and cameras to the hardened core, forming a rugged, self-contained unit with no moving parts.

Ultra-wideband technologies for seamless access control

A system according to one embodiment includes a first computing device comprising ultra-wideband communication circuitry, and a second computing device comprising ultra-wideband communication circuitry configured to communicate with the ultra-wideband communication circuitry of the first computing device to determine the angle and distance of the first computing device relative to the second computing device.

PREDICTIVE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request from a user computing device associated with a user for one or more items from an in-vehicle vending apparatus during a ride. The method also includes sending information associated with the user to start a vending session using the in-vehicle vending apparatus. The method also includes receiving an indication that the user associated with the user computer device accessed the in-vehicle vending apparatus. The method also includes determining that the user associated with the user computing device is the only user associated with the ride, determining that the user associated with the user computing device is one of a plurality of users associated with the ride, or determining that the user associated with the user computing device is associated with the in-vehicle vending apparatus.
