Automatic switching for frictionless access control
Example aspects include a method, an apparatus and a computer-readable medium of operating an access control system, comprising detecting a person at an access control area. The aspects further include determining whether the person is wearing a mask. Additionally, the aspects further include switching, in response to determining that the person is wearing the mask, the access control system into a frictionless mode. Additionally, the aspects further include obtaining, according to the frictionless mode, identification information of the person via touchless interaction between the person and the access control system. Additionally, the aspects further include identifying the person according to the identification information of the person.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR AN ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A system, method, mobile communication device and one or more computer programs for an access control system for controlling access to a restricted area. In one form, the restricted area is a parking station. In one aspect, the system includes: a communication system; and a computer program executable by a mobile communication device configured to: receive one or more entry signals from the communication system when the entity approaches an entry point of a restricted area; transfer, to the communication system, an entry request; receive, from the communication system, authorisation data indicative of the entity being granted access to enter the restricted area by an access control system; receive one or more exit signals from the communication system when the entity approaches an exit point of the restricted area; and transfer, to the communication system, an exit request indicative of the authorisation data in order to exit the restricted area.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ACCESS CONTROL VIA MOBILE DEVICE
A system is described for controlling an actuating unit that restricts physical access such as a motorized garage door actuator unit. The system comprises a mobile wireless communication device, an electro-mechanical access control security device, and a receiving unit controlling the electro-mechanical access control security device, the receiving unit paired with the mobile wireless communication device for receiving user input for activating the electro-mechanical access control security device via a peer-to-peer communication directly with the mobile wireless communication device, and a pre-authorization of communication of the receiving unit with the mobile wireless communication device, the mobile wireless communication device receiving the pre-authorization from a central security server.
VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A communication system for facilitating control over a function of a vehicle (102) comprises a base station (104) positioned in the vehicle (102) and a mobile communication unit (122). The base station (104) comprises a first transmitter for transmitting a signal to the mobile communication unit (122) and a first receiver for receiving a signal from the mobile communication unit (122). The base station (104) is further configured to cause the mobile communication unit (122) to operate in accordance with a limited-response duty cycle.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS IN DEVICES THAT ARE OPENED AUTOMATICALLY USING A UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL
The invention relates to a method and system for controlling access from a communications network (2) to any device (4) that is opened automatically, said system comprising a mobile device (2) and a remote control (1). The remote control (1) is characterised in that it: obtains the signals that control the automatic opening devices (4), either by means of cloning via antenna or using other means, and transmits said signals to the communications network (3), by means of its connection to any mobile device (2). Access can then be controlled from the communications network (3), simply by transmitting the signal that actuates the automatic opening device (4), via the mobile device (2) to which the remote control (1) is connected, to another requesting remote control (1). The remote control (1) then transmits the signal allowing the actuation thereof. Any remote control (1) can be used to actuate any automatic opening device (4).
Time-of-flight vehicle user localization
A method for localizing a user device using a Time of Flight (ToF) antenna array disposed on a vehicle, the method includes determining, via a ToF localization controller, that the user device is less than a threshold distance from the vehicle, determining an angle of arrival via the ToF localization controller and the ToF antenna array, and generating an unlock signal that unlocks a vehicle door responsive to determining that the user device is less than the threshold distance from the vehicle door.
Method and System for Isolation Management and or Access Control
A system of isolation management comprises a computer for generating an isolation plan; a lockbox configured to receive the isolation plan from the computer; a mobile device associated with an individual, and one or more locks for isolation locking of an asset by each individual according to the isolation plan. The mobile device is allocated to the lockbox according to the isolation plan. The lockbox is configured to recognise the mobile device when proximal to the lockbox. The one or more isolation locks are removably housed in the lockbox. The one or more isolation locks are each able to be recognised by the mobile device and the mobile device is configured to record an association of one or more of the isolation locks to the mobile device according to the isolation plan. There is also an isolation point for isolating the asset with the one or more isolation locks according to the isolation plan. The isolation point is able to be recognised by the mobile device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADMINISTERING PHYSICAL SECURITY ACCESS TO COMPONENTS OF A PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A system for restricting physical access to at least one component process control system component has a locking device that is integrated with process control system security administration data. The locking device accesses the process control system security data when authenticating a user. Upon authentication of a user for physical access to the particular process control component, the user may directly access the component for which the user is authorized. The system provides tracking of all authenticated users and attempts to access the various control system components.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING DOOR ACCESS USING BEACON SIGNAL
A method and system allow management of access to a door using a beacon signal. A user access authority determination unit controls access of a user to a target door based beacon data from beacons installed near a door. The user carries a terminal that obtains the beacon data based on a proximity to the beacons. The method includes identifying the target door based on identification information of the beacons extracted from the beacon data. A type of user movement is determined. The type of user movement includes an entering movement that the user enters into an inner side from an outer side through the target door and an exiting movement that the user exits the inner side to the outer side through the target door. An access authentication process to be performed to unlock the target door is determined according to the determined type of user movement.
Systems and methods for controlling access to a secured space
Systems and methods for controlling access to a secured space are disclosed. The system includes a locking device having a body having a rotatable locking cam having a locked paddle and an unlocked paddle. The cam is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The body also has a locking pin and a power supply for supplying electrical power to circuit components of the locking device. The locking device also includes a shackle having two arms. One of the two arms has a groove in a bottom portion thereof configured to engage with the locking pin when the shackle is in a closed position. In the first position, the locked paddle of the rotatable locking cam engages the locking pin in the groove. In the second position, the locked paddle of the rotatable locking cam is disengaged from the locking pin.
