FAST USER ENROLLMENT FOR FACIAL RECOGNITION USING FACE CLUSTERING
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for fast user enrollment for facial recognition using face clustering. One of the methods includes identifying, from a set of face images of faces, clusters of face images, where the clusters of face images include a particular cluster; receiving, from a device, an indication that the particular cluster includes a first subcluster of face images that depict a first person and a second subcluster of face images that depict a second person; in response to receiving the indication, determining that a number of face images in the first subcluster of face images that depict the first person does not satisfy an enrollment criteria; identifying another cluster of face images that depict the first person; and enrolling, in a facial recognition database, the first person using the other cluster of face images.
Systems, devices, and/or methods for managing drone deliveries
Certain exemplary embodiments can provide an AirBox constructed to receive deliveries from a drone. The AirBox can comprise an automatically openable lid; and a wireless receiver that is constructed to receive data concerning a delivery from the drone. The automatically openable lid can open to receive the delivery from the drone.
ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A method and apparatus of access control as described. A touch of a touch zone of an access controller including a body area network (BAN) transceiver is detected. In response to detecting the touch, a request from an access controller comprising a BAN transceiver via a body area network is transmitted to a user of a portable device including a BAN transceiver and a biometric sensor. The request is received by the portable device via the BAN network. In response to receiving the request, the portable device transmits a digital key comprising biometric data detected by the biometric sensor and a digital identifier from the portable device to the access controller via the BAN network. The user is authenticated by the access controller using the digital key. The access controller controls and actuator to lock or unlock a door in response to the user being authenticated.
Vibration-based authentication method for access control system
A vibration-based authentication method for an access control system includes: collecting vibration signals generated by a built-in vibration motor in an authentication device; filtering, denoising, and performing endpoint segmentation on the collected vibration signals, and extracting vibration signals containing effective touch; performing an alignment on the segmented vibration signals; performing a fast Fourier transform on the aligned vibration signals to obtain frequency-domain data, extracting frequency-domain features obtained after alignment and features obtained before alignment to construct a training data set, and storing the training data set in a database of the authentication device; using a new unlock signal generated when a user touches the authentication device as test data, and processing the test data to obtain test data containing effective touch; and matching and classifying the test data containing effective touch with the training data set by using a machine learning classification model, to obtain an authentication result.
VIDEO-BASED DOOR OPERATION USING OBJECT TRACKING OF MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICES
Disclosed are methods, systems, and apparatus for video-based door operation using object tracking of mobility assistance devices. A method includes detecting, in one or more images captured by a camera, a mobility assistance device; in response to detecting the mobility assistance device, determining, using the one or more images captured by the camera, a trajectory of the mobility assistance device; determining that the trajectory of the mobility assistance device satisfies a criterion for operating a door; and in response to determining that the trajectory of the mobility assistance device satisfies the criterion for operating the door, transmitting, to a door operator, a command to operate the door. A method includes determining whether the operation of the door satisfies performance criteria using one or more second images; and in response to determining that the operation of the door does not satisfy performance criteria, updating the criterion for operating the door.
Bicycle Locking Device
A bicycle locking device for securing a bicycle to a stationary object includes a housing, which defines an interior space. A cable is positioned in the interior space and has a first terminus, which is engaged to the housing. The cable is selectively extensible through a hole positioned in the housing. The cable is insertable through at least one element of an item, such as bicycle, and around a stationary object, so that a second terminus of the cable reaches the housing. A locking unit is engaged to the housing and selectively engages the second terminus the cable to secure the item to the stationary object. A biometric authenticator is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the locking unit. The biometric authenticator authenticates a physiological characteristic of a user, positioning the biometric authenticator to signal the locking unit to release the cable.
System Providing Self-Service Access to Locked Merchandise
A system providing self-service access to locked merchandise comprising: (a) providing a fixture that restricts access to the locked merchandise, wherein the fixture can automatically lock or unlock, allowing or restricting access to the locked merchandise; (b) providing a means of uniquely identifying an individual attempting to access the merchandise; (c) measuring a set of behaviors of the individual during any time the fixture is an open mode; (d) assessing whether the set of behaviors of the individual are suspicious or not relative to a set of suspicious event thresholds; (e) storing the individual and their set of behaviors as accessible records in at least one database; and (f) providing an algorithm which determines future access privileges of the individual to the enclosure based on a set of variables.
Automatic switching for frictionless access control
Example aspects include a method, an apparatus and a computer-readable medium of operating an access control system, comprising detecting a person at an access control area. The aspects further include determining whether the person is wearing a mask. Additionally, the aspects further include switching, in response to determining that the person is wearing the mask, the access control system into a frictionless mode. Additionally, the aspects further include obtaining, according to the frictionless mode, identification information of the person via touchless interaction between the person and the access control system. Additionally, the aspects further include identifying the person according to the identification information of the person.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING USER ACCESS TO VEHICLES BASED ON BIOMETRIC INFORMATION
Systems and methods are provided for authorizing a user to access an access-controlled environment. The system includes a system server platform that communicates with mobile devices (e.g., smartphones) and on-board vehicle computing devices accessed by users. The embodiments enable a series of operations whereby a user accessing a vehicle is prompted to biometrically authenticate using the user's smartphone or on-board vehicle computer. In addition, the system can further authorize the user and electronically facilitate access to the vehicle as well as perform other authorized operations relating to the use of the vehicle. In addition the vehicle access system integrates with various computing devices and computer-based services accessible to the user. The systems and methods also facilitate active monitoring of the vehicle occupants and environmental conditions using optical sensors and the like so as to enhance security, convenience and safety of the occupants during use of the vehicle.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING DOOR ACCESS USING BEACON SIGNAL
A method and system allow management of access to a door using a beacon signal. A user access authority determination unit controls access of a user to a target door based beacon data from beacons installed near a door. The user carries a terminal that obtains the beacon data based on a proximity to the beacons. The method includes identifying the target door based on identification information of the beacons extracted from the beacon data. A type of user movement is determined. The type of user movement includes an entering movement that the user enters into an inner side from an outer side through the target door and an exiting movement that the user exits the inner side to the outer side through the target door. An access authentication process to be performed to unlock the target door is determined according to the determined type of user movement.
