GATE APPARATUS, MANAGEMENT SERVER, EMIGRATION AND IMMIGRATION EXAMINATION SYSTEM,AND EMIGRATION AND IMMIGRATION EXAMINATION METHOD
There is provided a gate apparatus that contributes to efficiency of an immigration examination system. The gate apparatus includes a communication unit, and a switching unit. The communication unit communicates with a management server, which calculates a ratio of users of a first nationality in a total number of users undergoing emigration and immigration examination and determines an operating mode of a gate apparatus based on the calculated ratio of users. The switching unit switches an operating mode for emigration and immigration examination of an examination target user to the operating mode determined by the management server.
ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE, KEY DEVICE AND KEY HOLDER
According to an embodiment, an access control device includes a first communication interface, a second communication interface and a processor. The processor acquires, from the key device, an identifier functioning as the key identification information and a biometrics authentication result; transmits a confirmation request signal to the confirmation device, when the key identification information of the key device agrees with key identification information of a valid key and when the biometrics authentication result is an authentication failure; and permits access to the security device, upon receiving a confirmation response signal indicative of the access permission from the confirmation device in response to the confirmation request signal.
SECURE GUEST ENROLLMENT AT ELECTRONIC LOCK
Secure enrollment of a user with an electronic lock is provided. Enrollment with the lock may include a verification process and a secure enrollment mode based on verification of a unique enrollment code (UEC) associated with an enrollment invitation link that may be provided to the user. Selection of the link may direct the user’s mobile device to a client application, where an option may be provided for initiating the verification process. The UEC may be communicated to and presented by the lock. The user’s device may capture the presented UEC, which may be compared against the UEC generated in association with the link. When validated, the lock may enter the secure enrollment mode, where the user can register an actuation passcode, or the lock may be paired with the mobile device over a short-range wireless connection, which may allow the user to actuate the lock via the client application.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING REAL-TIME TRACKING SERVICES
Systems and methods herein provide real-time tracking services regarding individuals (e.g., school children) being transported from origin to destination. Host servers may selectively assign each individual to respective ones of the transports based on input from caregiver-specific user interfaces, and generate an expected group of individuals for transport to each respective driver via transport driver-specific interfaces. Each individual is identified upon boarding a respective transport vehicle, at least in part by capturing identification data from a QR dot associated with the individual via a verification device associated with the transport vehicle. If at least one individual is unexpectedly aboard/ not aboard a specified one of the transport vehicles, an intervention alert is generated to the associated caregiver(s) and/or transport driver interfaces substantially in real time. In an embodiment, all relevant parties accordingly can confirm whether a child has boarded the correct bus, gotten off the bus, and at what location.
Storage room with inventory control
Systems and methods of the invention relate to managing an inventory of items within a storage container. A storage container can house one or more items for distribution among one or more users such as, for instance, employees. The storage container discussed herein provides authentication of a user, tracking of the inventory each user removes or returns, video/image capture of user during access of the storage container, wireless tracking of items housed within the storage container, among others.
Cockpit access security system
A cockpit access security system controls changes to a record of personnel authorized to access the cockpit by reference to the state of the aircraft as determined by a plurality of on-board sensors indicating the state of particular aircraft subsystems.
System and method for authenticating user of robotaxi
An embodiment system for authenticating a user of a robotaxi includes a smart phone configured to request an authentication of the user based on a digital key, an authentication server configured to create a first authentication number, transmit the first authentication number to the smart phone, receive a second authentication number from the robotaxi when the authentication using the digital key fails, and request unlocking of a door to the robotaxi when the first authentication number and the second authentication number match, and the robotaxi configured to receive the second authentication number from the user, transmit the second authentication number to the authentication server, and unlock the door in response to the request from the authentication server.
SHORT-RANGE DEVICE COMMUNICATIONS FOR SECURED RESOURCE ACCESS
Communications over short-range connections are used to facilitate whether access to resources is to be granted. For example, upon device discovery of one of an electronic user device and an electronic client device by the other device over a Bluetooth Low Energy connection, an access-enabling code associated with a user device or account can be evaluated for validity and applicability with respect to one or more particular resource specifications. User identity can be verified by comparing the user against previously obtained biometric information.
Electronic access system and method for retrofitting an electronic access system
An electronic access system and method utilizes a modular latch system and method. The modular latch system and method include a reader module and latch module. The reader module includes a user interface with one or more readers or devices for receiving input from a user, and sending the input to a controller. The latch module is configured for mounting to a closure that provides access to the secure area. The latch module can be operated in a stand-alone mode while detached from the reader module. Alternatively, the latch module can be releasably engaged to the reader module and operated in an assembled mode. The modular system and method allow for engagement of the reader module to the latch module, disengagement of the reader module from the latch module, and engagement of an alternate reader module to the latch module for retrofitting the reader module with the alternate reader module.
Authorized smart access to a monitored property
A method includes, receiving a biometric identifier from a visitor to the property, determining an arrival time of the visitor based on receiving the biometric identifier, comparing the arrival time of the visitor to an expected arrival time of an expected visitor, based on comparing the arrival time of the visitor to an expected arrival time, transmitting the biometric identifier and data identifying the expected visitor, receiving, by the monitoring system and from the external server, (i) data indicating that the biometric identifier corresponds to the expected visitor and (ii) data indicating that an electronic device of the expected visitor is located at the property, and based on (i) the data indicating that the biometric identifier corresponds to the expected visitor and (ii) the data indicating that the electronic device of the expected visitor is located at the property, granting, by the monitoring system, the visitor access to the property.
