Systems and methods for simultaneous communication to a plurality of personal devices with RFID tags and LEDs

A communication system ad methods that includes a RFID tag writer to assign a unique identification to RFID tags, a series of personal communication devices, that have an RFID tag, a processor, a signal receiver and a display, and processors provide instructions to the displays to provide different light sequences in response to signals received, and a central controller that includes a processor, a transceiver and a memory, where the memory stores information relating to the RFID tags, user accounts and has an input device that allows users to be segregated into defined groups and stored, and the controller receives signals from tag readers or communication devices and transmit signals to the personal communication devices to affect the displays.

PROXIMITY AUTHENTICATION USING A SMART RING

Systems and methods for authenticating users using a smart ring are disclosed. An exemplary method includes collecting contact data indicating a sequence of taps of the smart ring while a user is wearing the ring, a tap corresponding to contact between the ring and a component and the sequence of taps corresponding to a candidate pattern. The method further includes performing an authentication operation by (i) comparing the candidate pattern to an authentication pattern for a known user to determine whether the candidate pattern matches the authentication pattern and (ii) when the candidate pattern matches the authentication pattern, authenticating the user by updating a record to indicate the user has been identified and authenticated as the known user. In response to the record indicating that the user has been authenticated, the method includes, transmitting a signal to a second device controlling access to the resource, and receiving access to the resource.

Locking system

Locking systems and devices and methods for using the systems and devices are provided. A locking system may include a receptacle having a lock and an electronic credential. If the electronic credential is brought into proximity of the receptacle, then a key can be used to open the lock. The electronic credential can be incorporated into a vehicle or into a handheld device.

Watch incorporating car key

The present invention provides a wearable device comprising a mechanical watch movement located within a watch housing, and first and second straps connected to the watch housing, such that the device is suitable for wearing on a user's wrist. The first strap has a coin cell located in a cavity, and the second strap has a first electronic communication device located in a cavity. The coin cell and the electronic communication device are connected by a flexible circuit board. Advantageously, this may provide a wearable device having the functionality to interact with a remote security system of a vehicle, such as a keyless entry system or a keyless go system.

A smart key for a vehicle, including: a case part; a substrate part which is coupled to the case part and on which electronic components are mounted; a plate part which supports the substrate part; a solar power unit which is supported on the plate part and supplies power to the substrate part by means of sunlight; and a sheet part which is coupled to the case part and which covers the solar power unit, so as to be able to operate the vehicle, by way of sunlight, without replacing the battery.

PAIRABLE SECURE-ACCESS FACILITIES

Systems and methods are provided for providing access to secure-access facilities based on pairing of the secure-access facilities with a user device such as a wearable device. A pairable secure-access facility may be a public storage facility or device such as a locker that includes communications circuitry for pairing with the user device. Once paired with the user device, the locker may operate a locking mechanism to lock the locker when the user device is away from the locker and to unlock the locker when the user device is in the vicinity of the locker. The locker may include a beacon for detecting and pairing with the user devices. Pairing the user device and the locker may include entering a locker identifier into the user device to ensure that the intended user device is paired with the intended locker.
