Pairable secure-access facilities

Systems and methods are provided for providing access to secure-access facilities based on pairing of the secure-access facilities with a user device such as a wearable device. A pairable secure-access facility may be a public storage facility or device such as a locker that includes communications circuitry for pairing with the user device. Once paired with the user device, the locker may operate a locking mechanism to lock the locker when the user device is away from the locker and to unlock the locker when the user device is in the vicinity of the locker. The locker may include a beacon for detecting and pairing with the user devices. Pairing the user device and the locker may include entering a locker identifier into the user device to ensure that the intended user device is paired with the intended locker.

VEHICLE ENTRY DEVICE, AND VEHICLE TRIM COMPONENT EQUIPPED WITH SUCH DEVICE

A vehicle entry device is designed to equip a vehicle and may include: a housing defining a cavity and adapted to be fixed to the vehicle; and an electronics module disposed in the cavity, including: a printed circuit board; an antenna connected to the printed circuit board and configured to capture a NFC signal, wherein the antenna includes windings directly arranged on the printed circuit board; an NFC receiver connected to the printed circuit board, in communication with the antenna and configured to receive the NFC signal from the antenna; and a processing element connected to the printed circuit board, in communication with the NFC receiver and configured to provide a control signal to a control system equipping the vehicle, based on the NFC signal transmitted by the NFC receiver, said control signal allowing access to the vehicle. A vehicle trim component may be equipped with such vehicle entry device.

A fingerprint lock system includes a key device and a lock device. The key device includes a communication and power transmitting module, a fingerprint sensing module, and a battery. The fingerprint sensing module senses a fingerprint input and accordingly generates fingerprint data. The communication and power transmitting module outputs the fingerprint data and a supplying power. The lock device includes a communication and power receiving module, a storage module, and a processing module. The communication and power receiving module receives the fingerprint data and the supplying power from the key device to supply the storage module and the processing module with the supplying power. The storage module stores verification data. Each verification data includes minutiae features corresponding to a fingerprint. The processing module verifies if the fingerprint data has the minutiae features corresponding to the fingerprint and, if so, performs an unlock operation.
