Web-based structure access

A first user associated with a structure (e.g., a home, a building, etc.) may authorize a second user to access the structure when the first user is not present. The second user may request to access the structure via a website associated with a URL that was previously provided. The second user may be verified/authenticated based on an access code input via the web site, a proximity of a device to the structure, and/or times in which the second user is authorized to access the structure. The second user may indicate, via the website, a desire to lock/unlock a structure entrance (e.g., a door) to the structure that contains a smart lock. Upon receiving a selection to lock/unlock the structure entrance, a service provider sends an instruction to the smart lock, causing the structure entrance to become locked/unlocked, and allowing the second user to access or secure the structure.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING POTENTIALLY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO AN ENCLOSURE

There is disclosed a system and method for detecting potentially unauthorized access to an enclosure. The system and method use an input device, wherein the input device includes a user interface comprising a communication tilt plate with a front side and a back side. The front side comprising an outer touch surface and the back side includes electronic components mounted thereon. The back side also includes a raised center pivot and a plurality of spring loaded switches mounted thereon disposed around the periphery of the back side of the tilt plate. In this way, tilting the communication tilt plate by pressing proximate the periphery of the outer touch surface activates one or more of the spring-loaded switches mounted on the back side of the tilt plate and thereby transmit an access code to a control module. The system and method further include detecting movement of an access barrier of an enclosure and detecting whether a motor and or the access code was used to move the access barrier. The user is notified in the event the access barrier was moved without using the motor and or the access code.

The disclosure relates to a technology for allowing access to an area having a blocked entrance, wherein the blocking of the entrance is controlled by an access controller arranged to unblock the entrance upon receipt of an authorized credential. The technology is implemented to repeatedly updating an override credential in the access controller, sending updated override credential the access controller to a remote node, repeatedly checking the connectivity between the remote node and the access controller, detecting failure of connectivity between the access controller and the remote node, setting the override credential as an authorized credential in the access controller in response to the detection of failure of connectivity, and allowing access through the blocked entrance upon receipt of the override credential in an access request to the area received by the access controller.

The lockbox contains a microcomputer used in the processes of validating preapproved credentials. One method of obtaining access to the lockbox is by user carrying only an identification card, the lockbox scanning the identification card and transmitting its data to the lockbox's server for validation via an internal cell phone modem's connection through cell towers. The lockbox is also capable of capturing video and audio recordings, storing and categorizing the recordings into data such as traffic or noise levels over varying periods of time; and such data can be transferred to a user's cell phone upon the owner's approval. Additionally, the lockbox is powered by a solar panel power source, making it self-sustaining.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACCESS CONTROL

A ticket exchange server is configured to monitor seat usage in a stadium during an event. The ticket exchange server provides a first ticket for a seat to a first client device in response to a request from a first user of the first client device. The ticket exchange server unlocks the seat in response to detecting a presence of the first user at the seat. The ticket exchange server receives an indication from the first user surrendering the seat prior to completion of the event and locks the seat. The ticket exchange server provides a second ticket for the seat for a remainder of the event to a second client device of a second user in response to a request for the seat from the second client device. The ticket exchange server unlocks the seat in response to detecting a presence of the second user at the seat.

Connected logistics receptacle apparatus, systems, and methods having enhanced status indication functionality related to a logistics operation for a delivery item being deposited by a parcel customer

A connected logistics receptacle system having enhanced status indication functionality related to a logistics operation for a delivery item being deposited by a parcel customer. The system includes a storage receptacle for receiving the delivery item and a bridge node mounted to the storage receptacle. The bridge node has a bridge node processor and a communication interface operative to communicate with at least a backend server.
