Manifest creation using optical character recognition
Provided is a system and method of facilitating check-in of a luggage item of a passenger, the method includes: a) obtaining, by at least one of at least one processor, image data representative of at least one image of printed passenger information associated with an airline travel carrier on an originating hardcopy bag tag or a printed instrument having at least a portion of the printed passenger information on the originating hardcopy bag tag to create a digital passenger information (DPI) data record linked to the airline travel carrier, wherein the originating hardcopy bag tag is issued for the luggage item of the passenger, and wherein the DPI data record includes machine-encoded text of an International Air Transport Association (IATA) license plate number; b) accessing a B-type message including a passenger name record (PNR) number of the passenger, by at least one of the at least one processor, using the machine-encoded text of the IATA license plate number from a computer system associated with the airline travel carrier; c) retrieving check-in information of a return flight of the passenger with a designated return travel carrier, by at least one of the at least one processor, using PNR data associated with the PNR number; and d) checking in during a check-in window, by at least one of the at least one processor, the luggage item, the passenger, or a combination thereof, with the designated return travel carrier based on the retrieved check-in information for the return flight.
System and Method for Electronic Access
In a system comprising a server, reader site, and a mobile computing device (MCD), a method for providing electronic access to products includes receiving a request initiated by a user at the server for a set of products (an Order), creating at the server at least one Voucher corresponding to the Order, the Voucher including a unique identification, storing the Voucher, transmitting the Voucher to a recipient, subsequently receiving at the server a request from the MCD for a ticket, the request including at least the unique identification contained in the Voucher, in response to the subsequently receiving, transmitting a Ticket corresponding to the Voucher and the Order to the MCD, receiving at the reader site the Ticket, determining that the Ticket is valid, and in response to the determining, providing the products.
Intelligent display system and method
An intelligent display system and method is disclosed. The intelligent display system at least includes an intelligent display cabinet and a server connected with the intelligent display cabinet; the intelligent display cabinet including a plurality of shelf units for placing therein display products, each of the shelf units including: a control module connected with the server; a product-sensing module connected with the control module for sensing the putting in and taking out of the display products and obtaining information on the display products; an electronic lock connected with the control module for opening or closing of a cabinet door of each shelf unit according to a command of the control module; and a display screen provided on the cabinet door of each shelf unit and connected with the control module. The intelligent display cabinet can realize unattended store, satisfy user's experience, and lower running cost.
AUTOMATED ENTRY
Automated entry to a property includes providing an application interface of an application running on a computing system to a property manager for a property. Visitor requests to enter the property are received. Automated entry information is provided to visitors that allows the visitors to enter the property during specific times.
Access control system and method for use by an access device
Systems and methods are provided to allow a smart phone or any terminal to activate a door lock using a web site or server computer system. An access control system is provided that includes a server and an access device. The access device includes a processor and a communication module. The process has control of a door lock and is able to receive a reservation certificate presented by a portable terminal through the communication module. The processor activates the door lock when a current reservation certificate has been presented.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCATION-BASED AUTOMATED AUTHENTICATION
Systems and methods for location-based automated authentication are disclosed. A system comprises a mobile device, a sensor and a backend platform. The sensor and the backend platform are in network communication. The mobile device is operable to continuously transmit Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals comprising encrypted transitory identifiers. The sensor is operable to receive a BLE signal from the mobile device when the mobile device is within a predetermined range, and communicate over a network connection the encrypted transitory identifier comprised in the BLE signal to the backend platform. The backend platform is operable to extract a unique identifier and a changing encrypted identifier from the received encrypted transitory identifier, generate a changing encrypted identifier, and validate a user identification by comparing the generated changing encrypted identifier and the extracted changing encrypted identifier.
SINGLE USE DONGLE VEHICLE KEY PROGRAMMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method for a single use device for customer vehicle key programming. The device takes the form of a so-called dongle that plugs into the vehicle OBD. The customer uses an application on a smartphone to communicate with the vehicle through the dongle on one end and with the system servers on the other.
ELECTRONIC LOCK PAIRING VIA PASSCODE
Secure passcode-triggered wireless communication pairing of a mobile device with an electronic lock is provided. The passcode is a limited-use (e.g., one time use, useful for a limited time span) pairing passcode that may be generated at the electronic lock or by an application executing on an administrative user's mobile device that can be communicated to a guest user as part of an invitation to connect to the electronic lock. The pairing passcode is not a lock actuation passcode and cannot be used to actuate the electronic lock from a locked to an unlocked position. Rather, the pairing passcode enables the guest user to pair a mobile device with the electronic lock and, once paired, to use an application executing on the guest user's mobile device to actuate the electronic lock.
AUTOMATED ENTRY
A method for providing automated entry to a property includes placing a short-range wireless enabled lock box or a short-range wireless enabled automated door lock at or near a property. The property is listed as available on an application running on a portable device. Visitor requests to enter the properties are received. Automated entry information is provided to visitors that allows the visitors to enter the properties during specific times.
Forward one-time-use physical access verification apparatus, system, and method of operation
A wireless apparatus controls physical access through a portal by forward verification of one-time-use codes submitted by a mobile application device. A system forward verifies a single physical access control code upon each successful physical access request. The apparatus sets a flag that triggers an action when a one-time-use code is received out of sequence. The controller receives a plurality of physical access requests from a plurality of mobile application devices. The controller determines for each mobile application device a sequence of access requests comprising at least a first access request and a second access request. Upon authenticating the first access request, the controller writes into storage a forward verification code specific to an immediately subsequent second access request from the same app device. Upon receiving a successor, the controller performs an authentication process by matching the stored forward verification code associated with the predecessor.
