A system and method for a single use device for customer vehicle key programming. The device takes the form of a so-called dongle that plugs into the vehicle OBD. The customer uses an application on a smartphone to communicate with the vehicle through the dongle on one end and with the system servers on the other.

A centrally managed system for tuning a plurality of enhanced node-based logistics receptacles includes a backend server, a first enhanced node-based logistics receptacles, and a second node-based logistics receptacles. A method, by an intelligent access control system, of implementing access control to a controlled area having a plurality access areas divided by at least one access point includes the following operations. A security token is generated. The security token is transmitted to a client module executing on a client device associated with a first user, and the client module is caused to pair with an access control device associated with the first user. The client module is caused to transfer the security token to the access control device. A physical location of the client device within the controlled area is monitored. A determination is made, by an access control system and based upon the physical location, that the first user is to be revalidated. The client module causes, based upon the determining, the client device to generate an alert.

A ticket exchange server is configured to monitor seat usage in a stadium during an event. The ticket exchange server provides a first ticket for a seat to a first client device in response to a request from a first user of the first client device. The ticket exchange server unlocks the seat in response to detecting a presence of the first user at the seat. The ticket exchange server receives an indication from the first user surrendering the seat prior to completion of the event and locks the seat. The ticket exchange server provides a second ticket for the seat for a remainder of the event to a second client device of a second user in response to a request for the seat from the second client device. The ticket exchange server unlocks the seat in response to detecting a presence of the second user at the seat.

An enhanced node-based connected logistics receptacle system includes a storage receptacle, a bridge node, and wireless accessory sensor node with at least one sensor monitoring for a change in state of the storage receptacle. The system's wireless accessory sensor node detects the storage receptacle's state change based upon sensor data, records timestamped information reflecting the detected change, and broadcasts a signal with a flag set indicating there is event information available for upload. The system's bridge node is operative to detect the flag set, retrieve the event information available for upload from the wireless accessory sensor node, and transmit a message related to the retrieved event information to a backend server to cause the backend server to initiate the dispatched logistics operation related to the storage receptacle.

Rental property management technology, in which reservation data is accessed on a rental property management server, and a request from a mobile device for an upcoming reservation at a property is detected. In response to detecting the request, the rental property management server confirms the upcoming reservation based on the accessed reservation data. In response to confirming the upcoming reservation, the reservation management server generates a unique access code. The rental property management server transmits the unique access code to the mobile device and to a monitoring system on the property. The rental property management server also transmits data to the monitoring system indicating that the unique access code grants access to the property.

A parking management system identifies vehicles in entrance lanes, exit lanes, or both, of a parking facility and provides a real-time vehicle inventory count. One or more beacons locate point of sale (POS) devices assigned to parking attendants to determine which of them are performing vehicle transactions. Provided is a system and method for creating a luggage manifest using a b-type message, an airline code, and flight data, the method including: a) identifying, by at least one of at least one processor, a baggage source message (BSM) associated with an arrival of a luggage item of a passenger, wherein the BSM comprises an airport code associated with an airport and travel data of a first mode of travel carrier of the luggage item; b) matching, by at least one of the at least one processor, airline information and a flight number of the passenger included in the BSM with airline information and a flight number in a manifest for a second mode of travel different from the first mode of travel, wherein the second mode of travel is local to the airport code; c) based on a match being found in b), extracting, by at least one of the at least one processor, an International Air Transport Association (IATA) license plate number from the BSM; and d) creating, by at least one of the at least one processor, a luggage item manifest record for the luggage item, wherein the luggage item manifest record comprises the IATA license plate number, wherein the luggage item manifest record is accessible by predetermined electronic acquiring devices configured to scan an originating hardcopy bag tag identifier (OH-BTI) associated with or printed on an originating hardcopy bag tag from the first mode of travel carrier that is attached to the luggage item.

A method of requesting access through a door by a mobile computing device may involve: receiving a Uniform Resource Locator (URL); directing a web browser application of the mobile computing device to a webpage based on the received URL; receiving an access code from an access-control system, the access code associated with access rights of a user of the mobile computing device; and transmitting an access request to the access-control system, the access request comprising data representing at least an identifier of the door and the access code.
