Functionalized microfluidic device and method
A microfluidic platform and method are provided. The microfluidic platform includes a base having an outer surface and a plurality of wells formed in the outer surface thereof for receiving fluid therein. The plurality of wells are in fluid communication with each other. A lid includes a plurality of channels having corresponding inputs and outputs. The lid is moveable between a first position wherein the lid is disengaged from the base and a second position wherein the inputs of each channel communicate with corresponding wells in the base. The fluid in each well is drawn into corresponding channels through the inputs thereof by capillary action.

Multi-Factor Authentication Using Positioning Data
Techniques described herein provide multi-factor authentication based on positioning data. Generally described, configurations disclosed herein enable a system to authorize a particular action using positioning data, and possibly other data, associated with an identity. For example, when a user wishes to change a password or access a secured account, the system can authenticate a user if a device associated with the user is located in the secure area. The system can authenticate a user if a requested operation and/or a predetermined pattern of movement associated with the user is detected. For instance, the system allows the user to change the password when the user's computer has followed a predetermined pattern of movement, and when one or more verification procedures meets one or more criteria while the location of the computing device is within the predetermined area.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ACCESS CONTROL IN SECURITY SYSTEMS WITH AUGMENTED REALITY
Systems and methods of access control in security systems with augmented reality are provided. Some methods can include receiving an image of an exterior of a secured area, displaying the received image on a display device, identifying at least one artifact associated with the received image, and superimposing at least one computer generated image of the identified artifact on the displayed image, thereby augmenting the displayed image.
MULTIPLE DWELLING HOUSE INTERPHONE SYSTEM
A multiple dwelling house interphone system includes a collective entrance machine and a dwelling room master device. Each automatic door requires an unlock operation to pass through for proceeding to each area, and a part of the areas are occupied by facilities other than dwelling units. The collective entrance machine includes a card information input section, and the automatic doors each include an unlock operation section for unlocking using the card medium. The collective entrance machine further includes a card authentication section, an unlocking door storage section, and a card information storage section. The card authentication section permits the unlocking by the card medium when the information input to the card information input section matches the information registered in the card information storage section. The permitted card medium enables unlocking the automatic door stored in the unlocking door storage section in association with the information of the card medium.

SYSTEM AND METHOD THAT FACILITATES PROVIDING A VIRTUAL AGENT
Aspects are disclosed that facilitate matching a user with a virtual agent. A database of virtual agents is maintained in which each of the virtual agents are remotely located from a property secured by a locking mechanism. A user is authenticated based on user information included in a request to enter the property, and an authenticated user is matched with a host agent of a virtual tour. Here, the host agent is selected from the database of virtual agents, and the virtual tour comprises a remote real time interaction between the user and the host agent while the user physically accesses the property.
Sales management system and sales management method
A sales management system includes a first device including a first processor that is configured to detect a customer moving an item of merchandise in an extraction direction away from a merchandise display, a second device including a second processor that is configured to detect movement of an item of merchandise from the merchandise display and determine a movement direction thereof, and a third processor that is configured to determine whether the extraction and movement directions are substantially identical when the first processor detects the customer moving an item away from the merchandise display and the second processor detects movement of an item from the merchandise display at substantially the same time, and determine the item as a first merchandise to be purchased by the customer when the extraction and movement directions are determined to be the substantially identical.

ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM WITH FEEDBACK TO PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Methods and systems to control access to a predetermined service or area. An access code is read from a portable electronic device of a user using an access terminal at a service site. As a result of reading the access code from the portable electronic device, access-related information is transmitted to the portable electronic device.
