Managing access to physical areas based on captured digital data and a database
Techniques for managing access to a physical area are provided. In one technique, first data is extracted from a digital file. Based on identification data within the first data, a database is searched. A data item in the database is identified that matches the identification data. The first data is associated with the data item. After associating the first data with the data item, code data is generated. Encoded data that encodes the code data is then generated. The encoded data is sent over a computer network to a mobile device, or an account, of a user that is associated with the data item.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MOBILE IMAGE CAPTURE AND CONTENT PROCESSING OF DRIVER'S LICENSES
Systems and methods are provided for processing and extracting content from an image captured using a mobile device. In one embodiment, an image is captured by a mobile device and corrected to improve the quality of the image. The corrected image is then further processed by adjusting the image, identifying the format and layout of the document, binarizing the image and extracting the content using optical character recognition (OCR). Multiple methods of image adjusting may be implemented to accurately assess features of the document, and a secondary layout identification process may be performed to ensure that the content being extracted is properly classified.
PERSONAL IDENTITY VERIFICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VERIFYING THE IDENTITY OF AN INDIVIDUAL
A Personal Identity Verification System for verifying the identity of an individual (600) carrying a wireless mobile communications device (400) is proposed, comprising image data of an area of the individual's body, said image data being stored in the wireless mobile communications device (400), at least one image capture device (100) configured to capture visual data of an area of the individual's body and at least one wireless communications module (200) configured to receive the image data from the wireless mobile communications device (400). Further, an electronic circuit (300) is provided that is configured to compare the visual data with the image data and to generate positive verification information when the visual data and the image data are established to be similar within a similarity-tolerance.
Identification badge system
An identification badge system having an image relaying device for communicating an electronic image, a base station for communicating with the image relaying device, a readiness indicator, and a reusable badge. The badge has a housing, a colored e-paper display, a radio frequency identification tag, and a Wi-Fi transponder and related circuitry that sends radio frequency signals to Wi-Fi routers or Bluetooth beacons in the facility using the system for real-time location tracking of the badge using GPS. Backscatter can be used to encode information on the Wi-Fi signals with little or no battery energy. Tracking information can be stored apart from the badge. The base station has at least one docking receptacle for docking the badge for charging only or also for communication of the electronic image to the badge e-paper display and for erasing the image from the display.
COUPLED INTERACTIVE DEVICES
The discussion relates to spatially meshed interactive devices. One example can include a mesh component that has access to a layout of features of a facility and to information about users associated with the facility. The example can also include multiple interactive devices including sensors and communication components. The multiple interactive devices are communicatively coupled via the communication components and at least some of the multiple interactive devices are communicatively coupled to the mesh component. The multiple interactive devices are located at known positions in the facility to create a spatial mesh at the facility relative to the features.
Methods, devices and identification document for a person or an animal
A device for producing a document carrying the identification of a person/animal. A first detector to determine the printing conditions of the document. A sensor to obtain the biometric data of the person/animal. A first encoder encodes the biometric data to form a digital identification image including redundancies. A second detector to determine physical characteristics of cells of at least one shape, such that the proportion of cells printed with a print error results from unanticipated unknowns in printing. A second encoder to form, within the shape, an authentication image for authenticating the document and includes elementary cells representing the encoded authentication image. A printer to print the authentication and identification images on the document, and to generate random errors in the printed elementary cells of the authentication image to detect modification to the appearance of the elementary cells.

Generating an identity document with personalization data and unique machine data
An apparatus and methods for generating an identity document obtain unique machine data related to an identity document generation system. The apparatus and methods obtain personalization data related to an intended holder of the identity document. The apparatus and methods generate a unique machine and personalization data object that includes values of the unique machine data and the personalization data. The apparatus and methods digitally sign the unique machine and personalization data object. The apparatus and methods incorporate the signed unique machine and personalization data object into the identity document.
Systems and methods for mobile image capture and content processing
Systems and methods are provided for processing and extracting content from an image captured using a mobile device. In one embodiment, an image is captured by a mobile device and corrected to improve the quality of the image. The corrected image is then further processed by adjusting the image, identifying the format and layout of the DL, binarizing the image and extracting the content using optical character recognition (OCR).
