ULTRA-WIDE BAND ANTENNA CONFIGURATION FOR PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a reader, such as a reader for a physical access control system. The reader can include first and second antennas, each designed or configured for receiving ultra-wide band (UWB) signals. The reader can also include a mounting plane configured for mounting the reader to a surface. An axis aligning the first and second antennas can be arranged substantially perpendicular relative the mounting plane. A material can be provided between the first and second antennas The material can have a thickness that defines a distance between the first and second antennas of less than a half wavelength of the UWB signal through air (λ.sub.A/2), the material configured to slow down electromagnetic waves passing therethrough such that the thickness of the material provides an effective separation distance of the first and second antennas of at least a half wavelength of the UWB signal through air (λ.sub.A/2).
ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK ASSEMBLY
An electromechanical lock assembly (1) comprising a lock body (13), a lock core (21) located at least partially within the lock body (13) and selectively rotatable with respect to the lock body (13), the lock core (21) including a key receptacle (23), a bolt operating member rotationally secured to the lock core (21) and configured to move a lock bolt of a lock (3) for locking and unlocking said lock (3), and a programmable key (12), wherein said electromechanical lock assembly is configured to be powered upon insertion of the programmable key (12) in said key receptacle (23). A position sensing device (27) is arranged to transmit position data to said programmable key (12).
Passenger authentication system for a vehicle
A vehicle system is disclosed herein. A display panel is disposed on the exterior of the vehicle and is configured as a user interface for receiving inputs from a user. An occupant detection device is configured to detect the position of an occupant of the vehicle. A controller is configured to receive a request for pickup from a potential passenger via a first communication; register authorization information based on the first communication; receive a request for vehicle access via a second communication that includes authorization information; and control one or more doors of the vehicle to allow the potential passenger access to the vehicle via the one or more doors in response to the authorization information registered based on the first communication corresponding to the authorization information from the second communication, wherein the controller allows access via the one or more doors based on the position of the occupant detected by the occupant detection device.
VEHICLE ACCESS SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ACCESSING A VEHICLE
Disclosed are a vehicle access system and method with at least two sets of a receiver and a transmitter, each set configured to receive a type of wireless communication signal from a corresponding transmitter of a user device, and the type of wireless communication signal received by a set is different from that received by at least another set; a signal module communicating with each set, each signal module configured to process the wireless communication signals received from the set to determine an initial location of the user device relative to the vehicle; a localization module communicating with the signal modules and configured to determine a final location of the user device relative to the vehicle, based on the initial locations determined by the signal modules; and a controller configured to lock or unlock a door of the vehicle based on the determined final location of the user device.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention provides a technology capable of performing control such that ranging is performed more reliably in a mobile object and a portable device which is a regular communication partner.
Provided is a communication device mounted on a mobile object including an acquisition unit configured to acquire a ranging trigger signal for starting measurement of a distance between the communication device and a portable device carried by a person and a communication control unit configured not to start ranging communication for measurement of the distance based on a fact that first specific information defined in advance and necessary for determination of the mobile object does not match second specific information included in the acquired ranging trigger signal and necessary for determination of the mobile object.
SECURE LOCKING OF KEYLESS LOCK CONTROLLERS
A lock control interface is operably connectable to an electrical actuator of a lock that restricts access to a physical resource. A primary wireless interface communicates with a wireless mobile device within a local vicinity of the primary wireless interface. A primary processor is connected to the primary wireless interface and the lock control interface. A secondary wireless interface communicates with a server via a long-range low-power wireless network. A secondary processor is connected to the secondary wireless interface. The secondary processor communicates with the server using the secondary wireless interface. The secondary processor is not operably connected to lock control interface. The primary processor controls the electrical actuator through the lock control interface to unlock the lock based on communication of cryptographic access data.
Proximity detection system for request processing
A request is processed by a control device based on a detected proximity of a client device to the control device. The control device, which is intermediate to the client device and a beacon device, runs application software that receives the request generated using a client application running at the client device. The beacon device, upon receipt of an indication that the control device received the request, transmits a signal to detect a proximity of the client device to the control device. The application software receives data indicative of a response to the signal from the beacon device. The application software allows the request upon a determination that the data reflects the response is received. Alternatively, the application software allows the request upon a determination that the data indicates that the proximity of the client device to the control device satisfies a threshold.
Electronic device for performing positioning and control method of electronic device
Disclosed is an electronic device including a communication circuit and a processor. The processor may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device based on a specified protocol, using the communication circuit, to receive first information at least including type information of the external electronic device based on the specified protocol, using the communication circuit, and to determine a positioning master for measuring a distance between the electronic device and the external electronic device based at least on the first information among the electronic device and the external electronic device. Other various embodiments as understood from the specification are also possible.
AUTOMATED DOOR SYSTEM
An automated door system may include a first antenna, a second antenna, and a first door control module. The first antenna may be configured to be mounted to a first side of a powered door, the second antenna may be configured to be mounted to a second side of the powered door opposite the first side, and the first door control module may comprise a processor and may be configured to be mounted in a fixed position relative to the powered door.
