AUTOMATIC TRANSACTION DEVICE AND AUTOMATIC TRANSACTION SYSTEM
An automatic transaction device that performs an exchange transaction to exchange cash of a first currency to cash of a second currency, the automatic transaction device includes: a reader section that reads medium-held information held on a medium and including at least information to identify an individual user; a first storage section that stores separately for each user a transaction amount of the exchange transaction that has been performed; and a controller that, based on the medium-held information read using the reader section, acquires a past transaction amount for the corresponding user stored in the first storage section, and performs control to cancel a current exchange transaction according to whether or not a total of the past transaction amount plus a total of a transaction amount of a current exchange transaction exceeds a predetermined upper limit amount.
Two-portion cash-dispensing machines
In one embodiment, a two-portion cash-dispensing machine has a first secure portion that receives paper currency during bill-breaking operations and vouchers during voucher-redemption operations and a second secure portion that dispenses paper currency. Physical access to the first secure portion is restricted to authorized first agents, and physical access to the second secure portion is restricted to authorized second agents. Physical access to the first secure portion by an authorized first agent does not inherently provide physical access to the second secure portion by the authorized first agent, and vice versa. In one application, two different business entities are respectively responsible for maintaining the two different secure portions, and the machine communicates information associated with requests for transfers of funds from a bank account of the first entity to a bank account of the second entity to reimburse the second entity for bill-breaking and voucher-redemption operations.

In an exchange device for gaming chip and cash currency, the gaming chip has a color or indication of value on its external surface, the exchange device comprises: a cash currency insertion opening; a cash currency reading section for obtaining authenticity information and currency information of the cash currency inserted from the cash currency insertion opening; an inserted cash currency amount display section configured to display the amount of the cash currency acquired by the cash currency reading section; a gaming chip storage section configured to store the gaming chips by type; a gaming chip dispensing section configured to dispense the gaming chips corresponding to the amount of the cash currency acquired by the cash currency reading section from the gaming chip storing section; a take-out section in which the paid out gaming chips are placed; and a user recognition section configured to recognize a person wishing exchange.
COIN DISPENSING APPARATUS AND CHECKOUT MACHINE WITH THE SAME
A coin dispensing apparatus includes a coin dispenser configured to dispense coins to a receiving tray, a sensor configured to detect one or more coins in the receiving tray, an output device, and a processor configured to control the output device to output a warning when the sensor detects no coins in the receiving tray after the processor instructs the coin dispenser to dispense a group of coins as change and the coin dispenser has dispensed at least one of the coins in the group but before the coin dispenser has dispensed all of the coins in the group.
Physical article exchange using a safe
There are disclosed devices, system and methods for automatic exchange of change for cash using a smart safe. The safe has a computing device for receiving a selection from a merchant to exchange cash for change having a total value, and an identification of the denominations of the coins and cash of the change desired. The safe has a secure chamber for receiving cash deposits from the merchant and a sensor for counting the secured cash. The computing device sends an exchange agent the selection from the merchant to exchange the cash with the change, and the identification of the denominations of the change desired. A courier is contacted, retrieves the cash deposited, and exchanges the change for the equal value of cash.
MONEY HANDLING APPARATUS
One object is to increase a storage quantity of coins of a money handling apparatus based on the requirement of the shop. The money handling system (1) includes a banknote handling apparatus (22) that performs a banknote deposit process and a banknote dispensing process; a plurality of coin handling apparatuses (23) that perform a coin deposit process and a coin dispensing process; and a terminal apparatus (295) that receives an instruction to perform the coin deposit process or coin dispensing process and selects, based on a previously set setting, at least one coin handling apparatus (23) to perform an instructed process from among the plurality of coin handling apparatuses (23).
