The resilient pad comprises a lower foam layer having a top surface, an upper skin layer coupled to the top surface of the foam layer, and a layer of mesh material. According to some embodiments, the upper skin layer comprises at least one layer of nitrile rubber and the layer of mesh material is nylon fiber mesh. According to some embodiments, the upper skin layer comprises at least two layers of nitrile rubber and the layer of mesh material is positioned between the at least two layers of nitrile rubber.
Coin sorting head and coin processing system using the same
According to some embodiments, a coin processing system for processing a plurality of coins, comprises a rotatable disc having a resilient pad coupled thereto for imparting motion to the plurality of coins, the resilient pad being generally circular and having an outer periphery edge, a center, and an upper surface. The system further comprises a stationary sorting head having a lower surface generally parallel to and spaced slightly away from the resilient pad, the lower surface forming a coin path for directing the movement of each of the coins past a coin re-gauging area. The re-gauging area comprises a gauging block, a lower surface, and an elevated surface. The rotation of the pad drives radial outward edges of the coins into contact with the gauging block. The elevated surface is positioned radially inward of a portion of the lower surface and the gauging block is positioned radially outward of the portion of the lower surface. When the coins contact the gauging block the coins are pressed by the pad upward toward the sorting head such that the radially inner edges of the coins are pressed into the elevated surface and a portion of the coins contacts a portion of the lower surface whereby the coins contact the gauging block in a radial outward downward tilted manner. The gauging block has a gauging wall having an upstream end and a downstream end, the downstream end of the gauging wall being positioned radially closer to the center of the pad than the upstream end of the gauging wall. The rotation of the pad drives the coins downstream along a gauging wall of the gauging block whereby the outer edges of the coins becomes radially aligned and wherein the coins are driven along the gauging wall in a radial outward downward tilted manner with the radially inward, lower edges of the coins being above the upper surface of the pad.
Device for sorting, checking and forwarding coins
This document relates to a device for sorting, checking and forwarding coins referred to as a hopper, comprising a rotatably mounted carrier disk for feeding coins from a collection receptacle and a device for forwarding coins guided on the carrier disk to a transfer device. The device for forwarding comprises a rotatable transport disk, which is disposed adjoining the carrier disk and designed to individually receive the respective coins guided on the carrier disk and to move them past a sensor unit for determining at least one parameter of the coin. The transfer device comprises a redirection system, which is designed to channel the coin onto different transport paths as a function of the at least one parameter of the coin.
Systems, methods and devices for coin processing and coin recycling
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin sorting and recycling assemblies, and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to input coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins from exit stations. An automated coin chute receives coins from one of the exit stations. The automated coin chute includes a movable diverter plate that selectively transitions between a first position, whereby coins received from the exit station of the disk-type coin processing unit are redirected through a coin-recycling output passage to a coin-recycling receptacle, and a second position, whereby coins received from the exit station are redirected through a coin-depositing output passage to a coin-depositing receptacle.
COIN BATCH LOADING DEVICE
The coin batch loading device of the present invention is a coin batch loading device capable of separating out coins one by one which were input as a batch and delivering them, including a cylindrical portion having an opening at the top and a side wall and a bottom wall, a rotor which is disposed inside the cylindrical portion and rotates about the center of the cylindrical portion, outer periphery sensors provided inside the cylindrical portion which detect one or more coins on an outer perimeter portion of the rotor, and a control device for controlling the rotation of the rotor, wherein if one or more outer periphery sensors detect one or more coins, the control device is able to set the rotational speed of the rotor to a medium speed which is lower than a high speed.
Coin storage device
A coin storage device includes: storage compartments that store therein coins by denomination; and screw-type conveying members, installed for the respective storage compartments, each of the screw-type conveying members including a shaft having an elongated shape and having an outer circumferential surface provided with a blade portion that protrudes radially outwards in a spiraling shape, and conveying coins toward a front side by being rotated in one direction about a central axis of the shaft. Further, each of the screw-type conveying members includes an actuating portion to move center of gravity of coins accumulated on the actuating portion up and down periodically as the screw-type conveying member is rotated about the central axis of the shaft.
Apparatus for discrimination and conveyance of coins
An apparatus for discrimination and conveyance of coins achieves downsizing of this apparatus itself with a simple and low-cost structure compared with conventional ones. The apparatus includes a coin separation unit, a coin discrimination unit, and a coin conveyance and distribution unit. Coins separated in the coin separation unit are moved in a first direction through a first delivering region and delivered to the coin discrimination unit. The coins whose denomination and authenticity are discriminated in the coin discrimination unit are moved in a second direction approximately perpendicular to the first direction in a plan view through a second delivering region and delivered to the coin conveyance and distribution unit. In the second delivering region, a conveying direction of the coins is changed from the first direction to the second direction. The coins are distributed while being conveyed in the second direction in the coin conveyance and distribution unit.
