An article and method of manufacturing an authenticatable finished fabric and article comprising the steps of: obtaining an original fabric article comprising DNA fiber, the original fabric article being possessed by a celebrity at some time; breaking the original fabric article into DNA fiber components; blending the DNA fiber components with virgin fiber to make a DNA fiber blend; generating a DNA fiber blend yarn; weaving or knitting a finished fabric that is configured to form a binary code from a mixture of the DNA fiber blend yarn and a filling yarn; and creating a first level authentication and a second level authentication of the finished fabric.

Method and device for verifying the validity of an electronic document

A method and device for verifying the validity of an electronic document is provided. A device for capturing images and capturing a sequence of images displayed by a device for presenting the electronic document is activated. The sequence of images may include different two-dimensional barcodes displayed successively one after the other, where the two-dimensional barcodes represent a signature of the electronic document and parts of the electronic document. The two-dimensional barcodes are decoded, and the validity of the signature is verified by means of a public key. A message representing the result of the verification is generated.

A security device and a method for verifying such a security device are disclosed. The security device has at least two security features. At least one of the security features is a tamper-evident security feature, which is configured to alter irreversibly upon mechanical tampering with the security device. At least one other of the security features is a robust security feature, which is robust against tampering with the security device. The at least two security features can be extracted from at least one image of the security device with a programmable device having a camera at least in an intact state of the security device.

METHOD OF AUTHENTICATION USING SURFACE PAPER TEXTURE
20200250422 · 2020-08-06 · ·

A method of authentication using surface paper texture includes steps of capturing a topographic pattern image of a surface of a region of interest of the paper artifact and extracting a plurality of specific features from the captured topographic pattern image. The method further identifies the location of the specific features of the paper artifact from the captured topographic pattern image. A bit map of the identified location of the specific features is generated. Then, a reference image of a reference bit map printed on the region of interest of the paper artifact is captured. Finally, the method compares the generated bit map with the captured reference bit map to generate a score. The score of the comparison determines the level of authentication. The method provides an offline method of authentication.

Covert secure document registration system

A method for creating a secure document, registering the secure document and verifying the authenticity of the secure document includes receiving a print object that has content. A security feature, including an identifier, is created and is associated with the content. The identifier may be a barcode. The barcode may represent a character string. The security feature may include the identifier barcode and a decoy barcode that is not associated with the content. The identifier barcode (or the character string represented by the barcode) and the content are transmitted to a database for storage. Once stored, the identifier and the content are considered to be registered. A print object that includes the security feature and the content is then transmitted to a printer for printing.

Authenticable digital code and associated systems and methods

An authenticable digital code includes a printable medium, a machine-readable digital code, formed on the printable medium, that graphically represent information, and at least one security signature positioned relative to the machine-readable digital code. The security signature includes a fluorescent material that, when excited by light of a first wavelength, fluoresces and emits light at a second wavelength that is different from the first wave length. Authenticity of the authenticable digital code is determined by detecting, when the authenticable digital code is illuminated by light of the first wavelength, light of the second wavelength at a position relative to the machine-readable digital code.

Method and system for processing electronic images of checks using a statistical evaluation of the user

Systems and methods for processing checks using 2D barcodes are provided. A request from a user to process an electronic image of a check can be received. A statistical evaluation of the user can be generated based on prior requests to process electronic images of checks. Based on the statistical evaluation, an initial number of electronic images of the check to request can be determined. The electronic images can be received from the user, and a composite image of the check can be created based on the received electronic images.
