Banknote recognition method based on sorter dust accumulation and sorter
A banknote recognition method based on sorter dust accumulation and a sorter. An effective region boundary is determined by using a gray-scale difference between a foreground and a background of a sensor image signal, an edge is searched for by comprehensive means of signal features of various sensors, detection direction change and secondary scanning, and finally the effective boundary of the image region is relocated, so that the detection rate and recognizing accuracy of the sorter can be greatly improved. The sorter comprises a banknote inlet, a banknote outlet, a banknote exit port, a conveying rail and a recognizing module. The recognizing module comprises two sets of CIS image sensors arranged oppositely, two sets of light transmitting plates arranged oppositely, a storage module, a detection module and a display module.
Calibration of a magnetic sensor
The invention relates to a magnetic sensor which is designed for checking value documents, and to a method for calibrating the magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor has different calibrating parameters for hard-magnetic and soft-magnetic magnetic regions, with which parameters the magnetic sensor can correct the detected magnetic signals of a value document, in order to compensate the magnetic sensor's measurement deviations in dependence on the type of the respectively detected magnetic region. For calibration, the magnetic sensor detects calibration measurement values of a calibration medium which is transported past the sensor. By means of the calibration measurement values the function of the magnetic sensor is tested. Where applicable, there is effected after the calibration an adjustment of the sensor using the calibration measurement values, upon which adjustment the calibrating parameters for hard-magnetic and/or soft-magnetic magnetic regions are determined from the detected calibration measurement values of the calibration medium.
Method for generating a digital image of at least one section of a value document
A method for generating a digital image of at least a portion of a value document, comprises transporting the portion of the value document in a specified transport direction at a specified speed, capturing pixel regions, and generating capture pixel data allocated to integration intervals. The capture pixel data of at least one of the sequences of capture pixel data are corrected. This reduces the influences of the movement of the value document in the transport direction during the capture of capture pixel data.
Authentication method and system
A method for authenticating an object, comprising determining a physical dispersion pattern of a set of elements, determining a physical characteristic of the set of elements which is distinct from a physical characteristic producible by a transfer printing technology, determining a digital code associated with the object defining the physical dispersion pattern, and authenticating the object by verifying a correspondence of the digital code with the physical dispersion pattern, and verifying the physical characteristic.
Document geometric deformation watermarking and tracking
Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, and software that assists in identification of a source of an unauthorized disclosure of a document, such as a public disclosure of check, receipt, or other document type. One method embodiment includes receiving a request for a stored document image from a requestor and retrieving the requested stored document image. This method may then apply a parameterized image deformation algorithm according to at least one input parameter to generate a watermarked image and then stores the at least one parameter and an identifier of the requestor in association with an identifier of the requested stored document in a watermarked image log. The watermarked image is then transmitted to the requestor.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR COMPARING IMAGES
A method of verifying, by a processing system, whether a user of a device corresponds to a previously authenticated user. The processing system has access to a first image and a second image. The first image is an image of an identity document comprising an image of the previously authenticated user. The second image is an image captured by the device. The method comprises: comparing said first image to said second image, whereby to determine whether they are images of the same user; and, in the event that it is determined that the first and second images are images of the same user: encoding one of the first and second images using a one-way encoding algorithm; and, storing the encoded image as a validated image of the previously authenticated user.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR COMPUTERIZED AUTHENTICATION OF ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS
A computerized method for authenticating documents having VIZ sections, the method comprising capturing an image of a document to be authenticated from a scanner and enhancing the captured image, and using a processor for identifying and cropping a VIZ section in the image.
Image compensation correction method and banknote recognition and detection device
An image compensation correction method and a banknote recognition and detection device. The image compensation correction method is applied to the banknote recognition and detection device. The banknote recognition and detection device comprises: a micro controller; a programmable logic device which is connected to the micro controller; an AD chip, a drive circuit and a static random access memory which are connected to the programmable logic device respectively; and a contact image sensor which is connected to the AD chip and the drive circuit respectively. A compensation correction lookup table is pre-stored in the static random access memory, and the programmable logic device can acquire banknote compensation correction data corresponding to a banknote image pixel point by accessing the static random access memory, and send same to the micro controller. Therefore, the micro controller acquires banknote compensation correction data directly from the programmable logic device rather than performing compensation correction on the obtained banknote image pixel point any more, thereby improving the system performance of the micro controller, and thus improving the work efficiency of the banknote recognition and detection device.
