A device for processing a medium includes: a conveyor for conveying the medium; an internal storage for storing the medium, the internal storage being disposed inside a body of the device and connected to the conveyor; an external storage for storing the medium, the external storage being disposed outside the body and connected to the conveyor; a temporary storage for storing the medium temporarily, the temporary storage being connected to the conveyor; and a controller for controlling the conveyer to perform at least one of collection processing and replenishment processing, the collection processing being processing of conveying the medium from the internal storage to the external storage via the temporary storage, the replenishment processing being processing of conveying the medium from the external storage to the internal storage via the temporary storage.

A stripper assembly can include a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a drag clutch, and first and second stripping elements. The feed wheel and stripping tire can be mounted for rotation in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) directions and can contact one another to define a nip through which papers are directed. The drag clutch can be interposed between the stripping tire and the shaft it is mounted upon. The first and second stripping elements can be positioned on the shaft of the stripping tire on opposite sides of the nip. Each of the stripping elements can be configured and positioned to engage papers passing through the nip. The drag clutch is not interposed between either of the first and second stripping elements and the shaft of the stripping tire.

The device comprises at least one second closure element, which is movable from an open position into a closed position and from the closed position into the open position. The second closure element is arranged in such a way that access to value documents provided in the dispensing compartment is only possible if both the first closure element and the second closure element are in their open positions.

The digital asset POS module is operable to: initiate a digital asset-based interaction with the user computing device, obtain an amount of first desired assets from the user computing device, send real-time information regarding the digital asset-based interaction to a digital asset-based interaction computing entity, and obtain a confirmation from the digital asset-based interaction computing entity regarding backing the digital asset-based interaction with an amount of system digital assets. When the digital asset-based interaction is backed with the amount of the system digital assets, the digital asset POS module is further operable to process the digital asset-based interaction by connecting to the digital asset-based interaction computing entity to exchange the amount of the first desired assets to an amount of second desired assets and distributing the amount of the second desired assets.

The system is provided with first coupling and hooking electro-mechanical components between the bag container and the bag-holding frame and with second coupling and hooking electro-mechanical components between the lid and the bag container. The first and second coupling and hooking electro-mechanical components are interconnected with a control unit to enable the respective functions.
